The term BIG DATA has been increasingly used recently. Big data refers to the massive amount of data that are processed and analyzed using sophisticated technology to gain relevant insights that will help top executives with the decision-making process. This study is an attempt to investigate the big data implementation in organizations. The literature review reveals an initial model of indicators that might affect big data implementation. This model was examined and extended by primary data collected from key people (CEO and managers) from ten organizations. The extended model of indicators, which is the result from this research, includes the factors that would affect the success or failure of big data implementation in organizations. The research findings showed the following factors: top management support, organizational change, IT infrastructure, skilled professional, contents (i.e. data), data strategy, data privacy and security.

The paper deals with the problem of sustainable development and innovative integral modeling and forecasting approach in the management of technogenic objects and processes (TOP) as a system of socio-eco-economic and humanitarian type (SEEH). Based on the use of information and innovation technologies in order to forecast the non-linear dynamics of eco-economic and socio-humanitarian systems, integrated stochastic models of objects and processes were developed and studied, suitable for the conditions of systemic crises. The paper handles the aspect of integration of 4 business and functioning areas of the modern complex systems. It proposes a general conceptual integrated model, generalized synergetic model of dynamics, considering different uncertainty (stochastic and chaotic components). The paper examines the aspects of integration of multiple business areas and sectors of the modern complex systems functioning and developing under the present conditions of non-linearity, instability and crises. An integrated stochastic non-linear phase-space growth dynamics model was developed and studied to forecast the development of the state of an innovative economy. The paper looks into the aspects of activity management of the modern complex systems functioning and developing under the present conditions of instability.

The paper proposed the concept of building and using the digital knowledge platform on the specialty. Experimental methods, together with the method of simulation, ensure the reliability of the obtained theoretical results and give confidence in the creation and use of digital knowledge platforms in specific specialties at the main departments. The digital knowledge platform is a special way organized and interconnected models of educational disciplines, which isomorphically reflect the content of the curriculum training programs. The partial implementation and experience of using the digital knowledge platform in individual disciplines have shown that the creation and maintenance of such platforms require certain resource costs. At the same time, the transition to an innovative training technology based on digital knowledge platforms will make it possible to move away from the traditional anthropocentric training model to a more progressive system-synergetic model that takes into account the capabilities of modern information technologies. The results of experimental studies conducted to clarify the possibility of students to create models of their knowledge showed that students are able to create models of their knowledge, which can be taken as a basis for the formation of a generalized model of training knowledge, which is the main element of digital knowledge platforms. In addition, within the framework of the concept being developed, another new term “plite” was introduced, the semantic part of which denotes a knowledge platform for the specialty. The technology of creating the plites should obviously be similar to the technology of creating the sites, and the peculiarity should be that their structures were isomorphic to the structures of curriculum, and the content part should be used exclusively for teaching. Then, fully developed plites for specific specialties will be independent units of educational knowledge that can be used for educational purposes by other higher educational institutions.

This study was conducted in a traditional Islamic boarding school (IBS) located in West Kalimantan. Among the existed boarding schools in the area, Pondok Pesantren Abdussalam was chosen due to its potential. This study adopted qualitative approach, utilized observation, documentation, interview and focus-group discussion (FGD) technique in collecting the data which then being analyzed using action research technique. The originality of the study is as follow: the study in this topic area has not been conducted previously, especially the one which focuses on the integrated economics improvement of IBS in rural area. The study result shows that there have been some economic activities in the institution in spite of its remote location. Additionally, the economic activities have been provided the institution with some benefits. However, the effect of such activities have not been felt fully yet. There have been three reasons in regard with this situation, namely insufficient human resources who have expertise in existed economic sector, limited capital as well as infrastructure factor. We propose the synergetic model to solve these three issues. The model is a cooperative model which can be implemented both with internal institution such as internal sharia micro-finance institution or with external institution such as local government or universities.
