PRINCIPLES OF FORMATION AND DESIGNING EQUIPMENT FOR FINISHING PARTS ON SCREW ROTOR BASIS

There are presented technologies and equipment based on screw rotors where technological and transportation operations are combined. The methods and ways for the speed performance comparative analysis of screw rotors are shown, for that there are carried out experimental investigations to determine a motion rate of parts with different weights from rotation frequency of screw rotors of 1-4 types. The results are accumulated in alignment charts which allowed creating a procedure for an engineering calculation of screw rotors. The original designs of such operation units have Russian priority and they are presented in fifty one patents for invention of the Russian Federation. In the paper there are offered methods and ways for the comparative analysis of screw rotor speed performance, the procedure for the engineering calculation of screw rotors. There is presented a machine for finishing parts with replaceable screw rotors of 1-4 types. The productivity and reliability increase of operation in such equipment is achieved at the expense of uninterrupted supply, dosage and reliable delivery of abrasive grains and parts into the operation unit made in the form of a screw rotor, worked parts separation from abrasive grains and working wastes, damage decrease of parts worked and their marketable appearance improvement, and also labor conditions improvement for the staff. There are shown inventions developed by the authors and for which they obtained patents of the RF and the information of which may be useful at the creation of equipment for OZO parts based on screw rotors.

This paper summarizes the present state of the theory of calculation of the pumping capacity of screw rotors. The calculation starts from the equation for the volumetric flow rate of the flow between two unconfined plates modified by correction coefficients obtained from the relationships for the flow rate in simpler geometrical configurations to which the screw rotor may be, under certain circumstances, reduced.

Investigation of the influence of the peculiarities of raw material composition and structure of traditional and innovative linen textile materials on their hygienic properties. Theoretical and experimental investigations are based on the main positions of textile materials science. In experimental studies, modern standardized methods for determining the hygienic properties of textile materials were used, as well as techniques specially developed taking into account the peculiarities of the operating conditions of underwear. The peculiarities of the operating conditions and the basic functions of hospital underwear were determined. The comparative analysis of hygienic properties of traditional and modern fabrics for underwear was carried out. Using the standardized and the developed methods, adapted to the peculiarities of the conditions of use of the products, the indicators characterizing the processes of water absorption of the materials were experimentally determined. On the basis of the obtained values of quality indicators, a comprehensive assessment of the ability of materials to transfer moisture and air, with the calculation of the arithmetic complex quality index was done. This allowed to determine the material that is optimal in properties, which provides thermophysiological comfort when operating hospital underwear. Using the developed methods, which take into account the specifics of the operating conditions, a comparative analysis of the hygienic properties of traditional and innovative materials for underwear was carried out. A new range of textile materials for underwear has been proposed, taking into account the peculiarities of the operational situation of consumption.

One of the main tasks in improving management of the transportation process is the transition to enhanced quality of transport service focused on meeting users’ requirements while achieving the most economical results for all the components of the technological process stages. The quality of the services offered by railway transport is gradually becoming an increasingly significant indicator of economic efficiency for both carriers and cargo owners. Customers are ready to buy more and more qualitative services to save time, expand their business, and meet new needs. This necessitates dev elopment of modern approaches to optimizing the use of existing railway infrastructure, including by establishing priorities in organizing traffic. The objective of the research was to study the procedure for establishing dynamic priorities for organizing transit of cargo trains. To achieve this goal, a comparative analysis method, special engineering calculation methods associated with organization of train traffic were used. During the study comparative analysis of main characteristics of a number of world railways was carried out. Following clearly defined strategy of railways of the Russian Federation aimed at customer focus, this article provides preliminary research results, the findings of which revealed the expediency of establishing dynamic priorities for cargo trains transit. It is especially important to implement these approaches in the context of an operational change in the train situation in the event of emergency events on the infrastructure and for a possible reduction in the financial losses of consignors and consignees. The same approaches can rightfully be used on the railway of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Presented is the possibility of reuse abrasive grains in abrasive waterjet cutting. The disintegration particles of garnet # 80 used to create a new abrasive garnet, corresponding to the fresh garnet # 120. In order to determine the ability of cutting recycling abrasive grains was carried out the aluminium alloy cutiing by using fresh and recycling garnet # 120. The experimental investigations of cutting surface quality focused on evaluation of surface geometrical structure.

According to the results of experimental studies, empirical dependencies were obtained (obtained from the appropriate mathematical models). The advanced (refined) method of engineering calculation of express-estimation of the strength of sloping cross sections of elements of flexible reinforced concrete structures on the basis of comparative analysis of the obtained empirical dependencies and standard accepted methods in the world was developed (nine basic norms are taken: DSTU B.V.2.6-156:2010 (Ukraine), previously operating SNiP 2.03.01-84*, SNB 5.03.01-02 (Belarus), SR 63.13330.2012 (Russia), Eurocode 2, 2004 (European Union), ACI 318-M14 (USA), AIJ Code, 2007 (Japan), CSA 23.3-04 (Canada), DIN 1045-1 (Germany). The coefficient of variation of bearing capacity and accident ratio according to the results of calculations of standard methods are determined. Their comparative analysis is carried out and informative graphic figures are presented.

This paper presents a method for determining the basic profile of a single-screw compressor including a gate rotor and a screw rotor. The inverse envelope concept for determining the cutting-edge curve of the gate rotor is presented. Based on this concept, the required cutter for machining the screw rotor can be obtained by an envelope of the one-parameter family of obtained screw rotors. The obtained screw rotor is an envelope of the family of gate rotor surfaces. Let the obtained envelope of the one-parameter family of gate rotor surfaces become the generating surface. The inverse envelope can be used to obtain the envelope of the family of generating surfaces. Then, the profile of the gate rotor with the cutting-edge curve can be easily obtained. The proposed method shows that the gate rotor and the screw rotor are engaged along the contact line at every instant. This is essential to reduce the effect of leakage on compressor performance. In this paper, a mathematical model of the meshing principle of the screw rotor with the gate rotor is established. As an example, the single-screw compressor for a compressor ratio of 11:6 is determined with the aid of the proposed mathematical model. Results from these mathematical models should have applications in the design of single-screw compressors.

The paper proposes a new iterative method for determining the parameters of an induction motor. The method is based on the measured values of no-load current and active resistance of the stator winding. The calculated parameters are used to build the mechanical characteristics of the engine. To assess its accuracy, a comparative analysis with a pie chart was carried out. In the practical part of the work, on the basis of the experimental stand, measurements were made of the magnitude of the electromagnetic moment of the investigated asynchronous motor AIR71A4 at different values of the rotation frequency on the stable part of the mechanical characteristic. In a comparative analysis of the calculated and experimental data, it was found that the proposed method has sufficient accuracy in calculating the primary parameters of the engine. This provides a basis for the practical use of the proposed calculation method in engineering practice

Abstract. Abrasive flow machining (AFM) is an effective method that uses the flow of a pressurized abrasive media for removing workpiece material. It is used to deburring, polishing or radiusing, etc. In this paper, the effect that AFM process on the surface of the helical gear is investigated. Then, the distribution of the velocities, shear rates and shear forces of the abrasive flow on the helical gear surface is obtained by CFD module of the COMSOL Multiphysics software. The simulation results show that the abrasive grains near the addendum, tooth surface and tooth root can be subjected to corresponding shear stress. Experimental results indicated that the surface roughness Ra of the left tooth surface, right tooth surface and addendum before processing 1.429um, 1.108um and 2.732um dropped after processing 0.228um, 0.216um and 1.754um. All burrs at the intersection between tooth surface and end surface has been cleared, the surface quality of the helical gear has been improved. Therefore, AFM method can improve the surface quality of the helical gear effectively.
