Crowdfunding platforms direct millions of dollars annually to schools across the country, but the scholarly and policy communities have a limited understanding of their operations. In this paper we leverage data from DonorsChoose and the Common Core of Data to examine the characteristics of schools whose teachers do and do not submit projects to DonorsChoose, the subject areas and resource requests of these projects, and the characteristics of projects that achieve full funding. We find that teachers in schools serving disadvantaged student populations in the lowest-spending states are most likely to post projects on DonorsChoose. Despite accounting for a majority of submitted projects, math and reading projects are less likely to reach full funding than those in other subject areas.

The subject transformation of Ukrainian geographical science demonstrates the strengthening of the monistic approach, which considers the Earth’s envelope as an integral socio-natural geosphere, in which the natural environment and man with his economic and spiritual activity are inextricably linked. Accordingly, one of the main directions of modern methodological developments is the geographical sciences systematization according to their composition and their multilevel ordering on the basis of the unity and integrity of the common object of geographical research - the landscape envelope of the Earth. The article proposes the authors’ scheme of the modern system of geographical sciences, in which the structuring of geographical researches directions is carried out according to the following basic principles: a) the system of geographical sciences is developed not in the list of relevant subjects and disciplines, but in the main areas of geographical research; b) the theoretical and methodological core of the geographical sciences system should be the direction of general integrated geographical research; c) directions of geographical researches and corresponding subject areas and disciplines are organized according to the levels of the landscape envelope structural organization and divided into global (geospheric), regional (country studies, regional studies) and local (environmental and socio-natural activities); d) the proposed systematics does not directly take into account the traditional division of geographical sciences and disciplines into basic - auxiliary - servicing.

Textbooks play a significant role in the teaching-learning process as a result of didactic transposition, and as a vehicle employed for institutional learning. This descriptive study is devoted to conducting a thematic didactic analysis of textbooks of physics and chemistry of the common core of science and technology of secondary education in Morocco on the subject of atom. This paper focuses on contributing to the treatment of one of the problems that deals with the didactic transposition of the scientific concepts related to the "atom", in order to detect the different problems that can hinder their teachinglearning process. At the methodological level, we used a specific prior grid applied to the same theme. This allowed us to draw a hypothesis on the possible effect of the didactic presentation of concepts related to the atom in understanding the students. It also aim to propose recommendations to remedy the imbalances observed; such as: the dissymmetry between textual and figurative aspects, the absence of analogy, the problem of modeling, and the upgrading between objectives, contents, and proposed activities, etc.

The article presents a methodological approach to studying iterative processes in the school course of geometry, by the example of constructing a Koch snowflake fractal curve and calculating a few characteristics of it. The interactive creative environment 1C:MathKit is chosen to visualize the method discussed. By performing repetitive constructions and algebraic calculations using ICT tools, students acquire a steady skill of work with geometric objects of various levels of complexity, comprehend the possibilities of mathematical interpretation of iterative processes in practice, and learn how to understand the dialectical unity between finite and infinite parameters of flat geometric figures. When students are getting familiar with such contradictory concepts and categories, that replenishes their experience of worldview comprehension of the subject areas they study through the concept of “big ideas”. The latter allows them to take a fresh look at the processes in the world around. The article is a matter of interest to schoolteachers of computer science and mathematics, as well as university scholars who teach the course “Concepts of modern natural sciences”.

Subject. The article focuses on the advanced time-driven tools for allocating overhead expenses, which are based on process-based budgeting. Objectives. We articulate a technique for cost allocation so as to assess the cost of each process with reference to the common time driver. Methods. The study relies upon methods of systematization, classification, analogy and comparison, and summarizes the scientific literature on the subject. Results. The article presents our own suggestions on implementing TD-ABC and TD-ABB into the strategic management accounting process of developer companies. The principles were proved to help more effectively allocate overhead expenses and assess the capacity load of each process performed by functions, departments and employees. Carrying out a comparative analysis, we found certain reserves for utilizing resources more effectively. Conclusions and Relevance. The findings are of scientific and practical significance and can be used by developer and construction businesses. The conclusions can prove helpful for scientific papers, student books, and further research.

Não-confessional.Abstract: On this article, we analyze the relation between Religious education and its evolution along the currently Brazilian context in order to understand the position of the Supreme Court in considering the possibility of a confessional Religious education. Firstly, we are going to present the legislative perspective created with the 1988 Federal Constitution and its impacts in the curricular lines. On this context it was highlighted the intention to include the Religious Education on the Common Core National Curriculum (CCNC), which did not really happened. The tendency manifested in the first two versions of the CCNC was of a non-confessional Religious Education. A tendency that delineated the function of the Religious Education as debating religion, but not giving direction on any religious side. This position was an evolution of the first historical perspective more associated to the confessional catechesis. It also went beyond the former interpretation of an inter-confessional ecumenism, which kept the superiority of the Christianity over the other religions. As such, in this paper we adopt the argument that the decision of the Supreme Court, of six votes against five, is a reversal of what seemed to be a much more productive path on the Religious Education. Keywords: Religious Education. The object of the research when writing the work was the body of text data collected together with the scientific advisor and the algorithms for processing the natural language of analysis. The stream of hypotheses has been tested against computer science scientific publications through a series of simulation experiments described in this dissertation. The subject of the research is algorithms and the results of the algorithms, aimed at predicting promising topics and terms that appear in the course of time in the scientific environment. The result of this work is a set of machine learning models, with the help of which experiments were carried out to identify promising terms and semantic relationships in the text corpus. The resulting models can be used for semantic processing and analysis of other subject areas.
