Experimented in Belgorod State University of Agriculture in 2009-2020 years researches was focused on the effectiveness of different technologies of growing field crops based both on recommendations contained in a collection of industry regulations, “Organizational and technological norm of growing agricultural crops in the Belgorod region” (2006 and 2014) [1, 2], and on the principles of No-Till. According to the results, yield for both technologies was almost identical in our conditions. The content of gluten in the grain of winter wheat and its quality also did not differ from the cultivation technologies. The same dependence on yield and protein content was also shown in soybean cultivation. Economic efficiency was higher by minimal technology.

Ukrainian fertile lands and favorable climate conditions provide enormous opportunities for the agricultural sector development and formation of a highly efficient economic cluster. With a practical management approach, the agricultural potential could meet domestic needs and form a significant part of export earnings. The volume and quality of agri-food may satisfy not only internal food security but also contribute to the European, Asian and African. However, due to the longer production cycle compared to industry, agricultural enterprises at the stage of choosing a production program can not anticipate and respond quickly to changes in market conditions, increasing the competitiveness of goods and attractiveness to consumers based on existing production schemes. Therefore, the primary purpose of our study is to create a roadmap of management decisions when planning a production program through efficiency evaluation of growing winter wheat in a typical farm in Central Ukraine. For this purpose, we opt for a methodology based on marginal revenue, total costs, production and profitability thresholds along with payback of production factors. Due to climate change, the importance of growing winter crops is becoming increasingly essential and superior attention should be paid to improving their economic efficiency. Thus, the problem and relevance of the article is due to the requirements for sustainable successful operation of agricultural enterprises in a market environment and, therefore, the feasibility of using available calculation methods to assess the economic efficiency of production to facilitate management decision-making.

The article considers the issue of productivity and economic efficiency of the use of slow-acting nitrogen fertilizers obtained using the ”Si” technology of winter wheat. The studies were carried out in 2014–2017 in the northern forest-steppe zone of the Tyumen region on the experimental field of the Agrotechnological Institute of the GAU of the Northern Trans-Urals. increased winter wheat grain yield. Winter wheat productivity according to the studied options on average over the years of research ranged from 3.36–3.41 t/ha, which is higher than the control about the option of 0.27–0.32 t/ha. The economic efficiency of the fertilizers used was determined by the cost of increasing the crop and the cost of obtaining it. Analysis of economic efficiency showed that when sowing the nitrogen fertilizer, urea encapsulated by Si technology (30 kg/ha d.v.) received the highest profitability – 81.68 %. The resulting conditionally net income in this option amounted to 1663.4 rub/ha. In the sixth version of the experiment (encapsulated urea according to the ”Si” technology (60 kg/ha a.v.) + KCl (30 kg/ha a.a.) + P2O5 (40 kg/ha a.a.)) profitability – 76.0 %. Obtained conditionally net income in this embodiment amounted to 1222 rubles/ha. The return on fertilizer use ranged from 4 to 85 %.

Assessment of the state and changes forecast of balances of humus and nutrients under the influence of anthropogenic factors, in particular fertilizers which are the criteria for environmental monitoring is given in the article. At the same time, the introduction of an environmentally friendly fertilizer system should ensure the economic efficiency of growing crops on a par with the preservation of soil fertility. The aim was to study the influence of the system of winter wheat fertilization on the balance of humus and nutrient elements on sod-podzolic soil and to establish the economic efficiency in research’s variants. The fertilizer system includes variants with amelioration a 1,0 dose of dolomite flour by the hydrolytic acidity (Hh), mineral fertilizers N120Р60K90 with addition of sulfur S40 and microfertilizer Nutrivant Plus Cereals (2 kg/ha) in foliar application. Methods of research were field trials, calculation, comparative and statistical analysis. Research’s results. Ploughing of plants by-products of back into soil is a source of organic carbon and nutrients. The yield of winter wheat straw in the variants changed from 2.04 to 4.47 t/ha. The largest amount of root (1.27 t/ha) and surface (1.47 t/ha) residues were provided by application 1.0 dose CaMg(CO3)2 and N120Р60K90 with the addition of S40 and microfertilizer Nutrivant Plus Cereals. The above fertilizer system provided a positive humus balance of 1.39 t/ha. The difference of data in variants with and without straw showed that due to straw ploughing in the soil accumulated up to 27–31% of the relative values of the newly formed humus. Optimization of the nutrition conditions due to fertilizers and liming caused an increase uptake of nutrients by culture, which together with unproductive losses led to a decrease of elements balance. At the same time, an increase the elements removal occurred at indicators of the intensity of NPK balance above 100%. This allowed us to conclude that the winter wheat fertilization of N120Р60K90 with the addition S40 and microfertilizer in combination with 1Hh dose of dolomite flour provides extension of sod-podzolic soil fertility along with increasing economic profitability of wheat cultivation. In this case, the grain yield of 3.85 t/ha contributed to the highest (1.52 UAH/ha) payback of fertilizer and liming.
