HUNTINGTON ALLOY 904L
Abstract HUNTINGTON alloy 904L is an austenitic nickel-chromium-iron alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. Its high nickel and chromium contents make it resistant to corrosion in a wide range of both oxidizing and reducing environments. The molybdenum and copper additions further improve its resistance to corrosion. Its mechanical properties are similar to those of other austenitic stainless steels. Applications of alloy 904I, include equipment for manufacture and use of sulfuric and phosphoric acids, for fertilizer production and for pulp and paper bleaching. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-433.
