The present work provides the literature data generalization concerning analysis of glycoluril, its derivatives and related compounds that allows obtaining information about the structure and properties of these com-pounds. Basic methods for analysis of glycoluril and substances on the basis thereof are considered, ad-vantages and disadvantages of these methods are described. The generalized results of the methods of analy-sis of glycoluril and its derivatives show that the majority of carried studies are focused on the revealing of purity and identification of related impurities for compounds that found practical application (drugs, mono-mers and polymers on the basis thereof). Consistent trend to active search of new methods to analyze macrocyclic and supramolecular systems synthesized on the basis of glycoluril is observed. The aim of the present review is to take attention of chemists to the most advanced methods of analysis of glycoluril and its derivatives with reference to promotion of further research. The literature analysis will be useful for research-ers dealing with designing of new molecules based on glycoluril with given properties where the methods of process control and analysis of target compounds has a decisive importance.

AbstractFunctional elucidation of bovine Y-chromosome genes requires available genome editing technologies. Meanwhile, it has yet to be proven whether the bovine Sry gene is the main or single factor involved in the development of the male phenotype in bovine. Here, we efficiently knocked out four Y-linked genes (Sry, ZFY, DDX3Y, and EIF2S3Y) in bovine fetal fibroblasts (BFFs) with transcription activator-like effector nucleases (TALENs) individually. Furthermore, we used TALEN-mediated gene knockin at the Sry gene and generated a sex-reversal bovine by somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT). The resulting bovine had only one ovary and was sterile. We demonstrate, for the first time, that the Sry gene is an important sex-determining gene in bovine. Our method lays a solid foundation for detecting the biology of the bovine Y chromosome, as it may provide an alternative biological model system for the study of mammalian sex determination, and new methods for the practical application in agricultural, especially for sex predetermination.

Abstract We describe here a direct a radioimmunoassay (RIA) for the determination of 6-sulfatoxymelatonin (aMT6s) in plasma, with iodinated aMT6s as tracer. The aMT6s antiserum was raised in rabbit by immunization with a bovine serum albumin conjugate, giving negligible cross-reactivities for related compounds. The low limit of detection (15 pmol/L) allowed a direct assay that required only a 100-microL plasma sample. Dilutions of plasma and of synthetic aMT6s gave the same parallel response in the RIA. A preliminary study showed a circadian variation in healthy volunteers, with mean concentrations ranging from 52 (at 1600-2100 h) to 378 pmol/L (at 0400 h), whereas this rhythm was abolished in pinealomectomized patients. After administration of melatonin orally, or by infusion, the aMT6s concentrations in plasma concorded with previous data on aMT6s production and pharmacokinetics, with aMT6s being cleared from plasma more slowly than melatonin. This assay should have practical application in the development of new pharmaceutical formulations that minimize the hepatic metabolism of melatonin.

The article discusses the ways of developing skills and abilities to effectively solve problems when describing methods for solving equations and inequalities, clarifying theoretical knowledge, the basics of forming skills for practical application. The formation of mathematical concepts through solving problems in teaching mathematics opens the way to the development of mathematical thinking, the application of knowledge in practice, and the development of search skills. To master a mathematical concept, along with its definition, it is necessary to know its features and properties. This can be achieved primarily through problem solving and exercise. Problem solving is based on the development of new methods, the creation of algorithms, ways of developing practical skills in the methods and techniques mastered with the help of tasks. In addition, transforming equations and inequalities through the development of thinking skills helps to identify common or special properties in order to draw correct conclusions. Solving various problems, it shows what operations should be used to determine the situation in which a solution was found, and what features of the solution allow choosing the most effective methods. Thanks to the theoretical substantiation of the general article, it is possible to master convenient methods for solving equations and inequalities of various structures.

AbstractA survey is given on the tasks to be performed in the process of improving a fundamental system. Completed tasks are the derivation of corrections to the values for general precession and the determination of the FK4 equinox and equator. The selection of new fundamental stars and the improvement of the systematic and individual accuracy of the FK4 is in progress. A description of the observational material and of new methods of analysis is given. Preliminary results are reported.

Jigsaw puzzle algorithm is important as it can be applied to many areas such as biology, image editing, archaeology and incomplete crime-scene reconstruction. But, still, some problems exist in the process of practical application, for example, when there are a large number of similar objects in the puzzle fragments, the error rate will reach 30%–50%. When some fragments are missing, most algorithms fail to restore the images accurately. When the number of fragments of the jigsaw puzzle is large, efficiency is reduced. During the intelligent puzzle, mainly the Sum of Squared Distance Scoring (SSD), Mahalanobis Gradient Compatibility (MGC) and other metrics are used to calculate the similarity between the fragments. On the basis of these two measures, we put forward some new methods: 1. MGC is one of the most effective measures, but using MGC to reassemble the puzzle can cause an error image every 30 or 50 times, so we combine the Jaccard and MGC metric measure to compute the similarity between the image fragments, and reassemble the puzzle with a greedy algorithm. This algorithm not only reduces the error rate, but can also maintain a high accuracy in the case of a large number of fragments of similar objects. 2. For the lack of fragmentation and low efficiency, this paper uses a new method of SSD measurement and mark matrix, it is general in the sense that it can handle puzzles of unknown size, with fragments of unknown orientation, and even puzzles with missing fragments. The algorithm does not require any preset conditions and is more practical in real life. Finally, experiments show that the algorithm proposed in this paper improves not only the accuracy but also the efficiency of the operation.
