Awareness and current state of knowledge towards everstick post as post-endodontic restoration : a questionnaire survey

Financial literacy is one of the key components of education for living in a modern society. In this article, we present the results of our research into the current state of financial literacy among university students from two European countries. Our research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire survey. In the first part of the questionnaire we investigated selected personal characteristics of respondents and the second part was devoted to knowledge in different areas of financial literacy. The knowledge questions were focused mainly on respondents’ competence in specific practical situations. The obtained data were processed by statistical analysis, including the dependencies between the results of the knowledge part and the self-reflexive assessment in the first part of the questionnaire. The article analyzes the respondents ‘attitude to the current state and development of palliative care in Russia. The study was carried out on the basis of a questionnaire survey. The author concludes that there is a low level of public awareness about the availability of palliative care and a low level of interest in this topic. At the same time, the majority of respondents consider it necessary to improve the provision of medical care to patients in a terminal state at the place of residence.

Previous research has acknowledged facilities management (FM) as a discipline that optimises the delivery of facilities and its related services through use of high profile strategies that provide cost effective, high quality and integrated approach to the concept of managing facilities and its related services. The purpose of this paper is to examine the theoretical trends in outsourcing of FM functions and the current state of FM practice using Nigeria and UK as case studies. This re- search used a combination of literature review and questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey was conducted to further explore (through comparative analysis) the perception of 30 (15 from UK and 15 from Nigeria) carefully selected facilities managers in UK and Nigeria who are subscribing members of British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and International Facilities Manage- ment Association (IFMA) Nigeria’s chapter respectively. 22 respondents consisting of 13 received from UK respondents and 9 from Nigeria responded to the survey giving a response rate of 73%. Findings reveal among others that FM has grown from the traditional day-to-day operational management to being a strategic management tool; while janitorial services and facilities maintenance remain the most outsourced FM services.

In this paper, we will first present the current state of research regarding stereotypes and ideas of Germans and Danes about each other. This paper will then display research approaches of the SMiK-project. In the second half of the paper, the results of the questionnaire survey “Typically German – typically Danish” which reveal current German-Danish stereotypes will be presented. Last but not least, this paper includes a study of stereotypes that are used on German-Danish internet platforms and, thus, offer insights into chosen aspects of the linguistic analyses of the SMiK-project.

In this article we present the current state of the Komi-Yazva language through field recordings from recent expeditions of 2017-2018, results of the sociolinguistic questionnaires and personal observations. The main part of the article is prefaced by the brief review of scientists’ opinions on the status of the Komi-Yazva idiom and the explanation of what constitutes the term “Komi-Yazva language” used in the article. The information on the number of Komi-Yazva speakers according to the censuses’ data is given and the number of native speakers of the language at present time is estimated. The conclusion is made that the number of the population speaking the Komi-Yazva language in the second half of the 20 century rapidly decreased. The article describes the processes of revival of the national culture and formation of the ethnic identity of the Komi-Yazva speakers “from above” in the 1990s-2000s. The problem of teaching the native language in schools and the state of publishing activities on the Komi-Yazva language are analyzed in detail. The article reveals the results of a sociolinguistic questionnaire survey, which contains a number of questions concerning the ethnolinguistic situation (including ethnic identity). All sections of the article are accompanied by excerpts from the 2017-2018 field recordings made by the authors. Based on the adduced data, in the conclusion we assess the current state of the Komi-Yazva language. According to the UNESCO language endangerment scale, the Komi-Yazva language is critically endangered. Finally, some possible ways of supporting and preserving Komi-Yazva language are suggested for discussion.

In the information age, the proliferation of online education platforms is accompanied by various problems. This paper aims to solve the problems of online education platforms, making them more useful and adaptable. Targeting at a key online education platform (SmartStudy) in China, the authors conducted a questionnaire survey among users on their utilization and perception of online education platforms. Based on the survey data, the current state of the platform was summarized, followed by an analysis on the degree of impact from each factor on the selection between platforms. Next, the platform development and user satisfaction were discussed in the light of platform security, credit rating and user experience. Finally, several suggestions were put forward to improve the online education platform. The research results are of great importance to the development of online education in China.

The chapter will explore some aspects of online education such as digital skills, digital competences, and innovations in education, which the COVID-19 pandemic put into the foreground of the processes of learning and education at universities. The ability to apply digital skills and develop them into digital competencies is a basic prerequisite for learners and educators. The author analyses and evaluates the current state and challenges posed by online education, especially at colleges and universities. The concepts and terminology in the field of education in cyberspace, models of digital competencies of educators, scientific and educational policy documents defining the requirements for university teachers in online education were considered. The investigation was supported by the results of a questionnaire survey. The author points out the possibilities and ultimate requirements of online education at universities in terms of students, teachers, innovations, evaluation, advantages, and barriers in online education.
