The paper presents the results of a survey administered to 1640 respondents from Romania and the Republic of Moldova in which a number of determinants have been taken into consideration like gender, age, education and COVID-19 exposure, verifying their association with attitudinal compliance. This notion has been conceptualized as agreement to prevention measures and willingness to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The results show a poor association with gender, but a more noticeable one with age and education. Direct exposure to the virus (personal contamination or loss of family member) did not seem to associate with higher levels of attitudinal compliance. Key words: COVID-19, prot

This is an interview-based study of 102 families and their observations of the last weeks and days of a dying family member. Forty-one families reported hearing about “visions,” “hallucinations,” or “dreams” from their dying loved one before their death. Of these 41 mixed cases, 37 cases demonstrated classic features of deathbed visions—reports of seeing dead relatives or friends communicating to the dying person. This article reports a content analysis of these 37 cases in order to identify the major psychosocial themes that seem to be conveyed by these kinds of experiences. Six major themes are identified. These themes are: support, comfort, companionship, reunion, prognosis, and choice and control. Implications of these themes are discussed in relation to their role in providing significant support for the psychological morale and social well being of dying people.

Background: Teaching in schools has been defined as the profession with the most diverse risk factors that affect health. With almost 48000 people currently working in educational institutions, teachers make up the largest occupational group in the Republic of Moldova. Material and methods: The study involved 519 teachers from pre-university educational institutions. For the self-assessment of the health status, a questionnaire was created which was applied online. The subjective assessment was performed by researching the entries in the medical cards. Results: The majority of respondents were women (91.4%), with a mean age of 45.6±7.5 years and a working experience of 22.9±3.2 years. In 75.7% of them health is satisfactory, only 3% have serious health problems and would require hospitalization. In 35.8% of cases, the presence of chronic diseases is registered, their top being led by diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (33.8%), the cardiovascular system (29.2%) and endocrine (27.2%). The most common risk factors mentioned were: high levels of stress (53.5%); increased number of tasks (23.4%); lack of support from family and colleagues (22.9%). Conclusions: The health of teachers is influenced by a variety of risk factors. There were no correlations between the type of institution and the subject taught, which highlights the importance of studying the influence of factors in the occupational environment and the development of prevention measures.

This article is a brief overview of the genre of the orchestral suite in the works of the composers of the Republic of Moldova. The history of the orchestral suite in Moldova from its beginnings to the present day has 100 years old. During this time, it has undergone certain transformations, while retaining its main qualities: the brightness of the musical language and timbre embodiment. The article notes the variety of performing ensembles for which suites are written: these are symphonic, chamber, string, pop and jazz orchestra, orchestra of folk instruments. Special attention is paid to the introduction of nationally characteristic instruments (nai, fluier, caval, taragot, cymbals) into the classic orchestras. This article analyzes the most current security issues for the Republic of Moldova that are part of the regional security context of Eastern Europe –the region that can be considered the epicenter of international tensions through which the„geopolitical line of fracture”passes. The geographical position of the Republic of Moldova makes this state particularly sensitive to any negative trends in theregion. Growing of international tensions creates security threats and complicates economic development. From a historical point of view, Moldova has repeatedly fallen victim by the confrontation of the great powers. Therefore, the Republic of Moldova has a vital interest in preventing a new conflict in Eastern Europe. This article is based on a number of assumptions made by changes in the European security environment, such as the „shift of weight” to the East, strategic uncertainty, increasing the role of non-state actors, the situation in eastern Ukraine, etc. Based on these assumptions, this article makes an attempt to outline the potential role of the Republic of Moldova in the Eastern European security system, taking into account the desideratum for integration of the republic into the European Union. Other relevant factors will be taken into account for shaping the role of the Republic of Moldova in the European security system, namely: the security deficit; the impact of NATO and EU security policy; the rebirth of the project to create a regional defense alliance, etc. This article will largely take into account the military aspects of security.
