Work engagement (positive working mind and emotion) in frontline employees (FLEs) plays an important role that will affect the capability of the organization in serving its customer. The goal of this research is to examine whether there were differences in the influence of service climate, job satisfaction, and affective commitment toward work engagement in high-contact and low-contact frontline employees in Jakarta and Tangerang; and whether there were influences of work engagement toward adaptability behavior as well as career commitment among high-contact and low-contact frontline employees. Questionnaire is administered to 200 FLEs from multiple high and low contact service industries in Jakarta and Tangerang. Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) is used to test hypotheses. The author found there were almost no differences among high-contact and low-contact frontline employees except on the job satisfaction, where there was no significant influence toward work engagement in frontline low-contact employee which was in contrast with the frontline high-contact employee. This research will enrich the discourse on the relationship between job satisfaction and work engagement. This finding provides empirical evidence on a limited scale that in certain segmentation, especially for low-contact workers, job satisfaction did not have a positive influence on work engagement.

This study discussed employee turnover as one of the crucial problems faced by every organization. This study sought to analyze the determinants of turnover intention, such as job insecurity, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The objects of this study were newcomer lecturers of private Islamic universities in East Java Province, Indonesia. To analyze the relationship among independent variables and dependent variable; this study employed a correlation path model. To build the structural formulation of the correlation path model, this study used the variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as a Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The study found that job insecurity influenced job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Moreover, job satisfaction and organizational commitment had positive impacts on the turnover intention. In contrast, job insecurity did not have a direct significant impact on the turnover intention, but it had indirect effect that influences job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

This research examines the association of job attitudes (i.e. job involvement, job satisfaction, and commitment) with knowledge sharing behaviour of bank personnel through behavioural antecedents (i.e. motivation, attitude, and intentions to share knowledge). The hypothesised relationships among job attitudes (excluding job involvement), behaviour antecedents, and knowledge sharing behaviour are significant and consistent. Notably, the association of job satisfaction with the motivation to share knowledge is insignificant. The survey results are based on data from a stratified multistage cluster sample of 316 public and private sector bank professionals from Pakistan, analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS)-Structure Equation Modelling (SEM). The research provides a framework for theoretical and practical implications in knowledge-intensive organisations to foster knowledge sharing that increases individual as well as organisational productivity. The study paves the way for future research by including knowledge-oriented leadership, culture, trust, knowledge governance, and citizenship behaviour in the current framework for analysis in diverse geographical and demographical contexts.

Keeping in view the importance of services industries especially the hospitality sector, the study analyzed behavioral outcomes of role stress in front line employees of three, four and five star hotels in Lahore for the first time in the Pakistani context. Stratified random sampling technique was used to collect data from 262 front line employee of six job positions. By using smart PLS 3.0 software that utilizes Partial Least Square Structure Equation Modeling (PLSSEM) technique, the study found role stress negatively affecting job satisfaction and positively affecting both burnout and turnover intention of employees. All relationships were significant at 99% confidence level. The result showed eroding effect of stress on job satisfaction and accumulating tendency towards burnout and turnover intention. The results of this study, not only confirmed to previous results, both in direction and strength of the relationship. Rather, provided new insight to understand the phenomenon in the hospitality sector of Pakistan.
