Analisis Future Time Perspective (FTP) dan Kematangan Karir Terhadap Kesiapan Kerja Mahasiswa Sistem Informasi Menghadapi Dunia Kerja Bidang Informatika

Salah satu pemicu tingginya angka pengangguran intelektual adalah karena perencanaan karir yang kurang baik. Kurangnya keterampilan dan kompetensi membuat mahasiswa merasa sulit untuk memilih karir. Setelah menyelesaikan program pendidikan tinggi, dalam banyak kasus, mahasiswa tidak siap menghadapi persaingan di dunia kerja, terutama di bidang Informatika yang terus menerus memiliki keterbaruan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh future time perspective dan kematangan karir mahasiswa prodi Sistem Informasi terhadap kesiapan kerja mereka dibidang informatika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, sampel adalah mahasiswa Prodi Sistem Informasi sebanyak 150 responden. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala future time perspective (FTP), skala career maturity (Kematangan Karir) dan skala Kesiapan Kerja. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda dan korelasi untuk mengetahui pengaruh tiap variabel. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh kedua variabel sebesar 38%. Adapun sumbangan sumbangan efektif future time perspective terhadap Kesiapan Kerja sebesar 5%. Sementara sumbangan efektif variabel kematangan karir terhadap kesiapan kerja sebesar 33%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel Kematangan Karir memiliki pengaruh dominan terhadap variabel kesiapan kerja daripada variabel future time perspective. Meskipun sumbangan variabel future time perspective kecil namun memberikan kontribusi yang cukup signifikan bagi mahasiswa karena memberikan wacana baru dalam mempertimbangkan kesiapan karir mereka.

The Right

One reason of the high unemployment is the lack of career planning. The individu needs career maturity and views about the future (future time perspective) so that she/he can choose the right job. This research aimed to determine the influence of future time perspective toward career maturity in college student. This study used a quantitative approach. Sample in this study are 156 of college students in Jabodetabek.The measurement tools is Carstensen and Lang Future Time Perspective scale (CL-FTP) and Career Maturity Inventory form C (IMC form C). The result shos that future time perspective affecting positively to career maturity in college student significantly (R2= 0.139; p = 0.000). Simple linear regression analysis stated that future time perspective contributed 13,9% to the career maturity and 86,1% influenced by other factors.

Abstract. This study addresses prior mixed findings on the relationship between future time perspective (FTP) and well-being as well as examines the associations between three aspects of FTP and life satisfaction in the health and friendship domains. 159 Germans, 97 US Americans, and 240 Hong Kong Chinese, aged 19–86 years, completed a survey on future self-views (valence) and life satisfaction. They also reported the extent to which they perceived future time as expanded vs. limited (time extension) and meaningful (openness). Findings revealed that individuals with more positive future self-views had higher satisfaction. However, those who perceived their future as more meaningful or perceived more time in their future reported higher satisfaction even when future self-views were less positive.
