This article examines different forms of Ukrainian migrant women’s social remittances, articulating some results of two ethnographic studies: one focused on the migration of Ukrainian women to Italy, and the other on the social impact of emigration in Ukraine. First, the paper illustrates the patterns of monetary remittance management, which will be defined as a specific form of social remittance, since they are practices shaped by systems of norms challenged by migration. In the second part, the article moves on to discuss other types of social remittances transferred by migrant women to their families left behind: the right of self-care and self-realisation; the recognition of alternative and more women-friendly life-course patterns; consumption styles and ideas on economic education. Therefore, I will explore the contents of social remittances, but also the gender and intergenerational conflicts that characterise these flows of cultural resources.

The objective of this article is to examine the impact of international female labor migration on left-behind parents by taking into consideration the daughters' marital status. Data were taken from in-depth interviews with 37 left-behind parents of migrant women in East Java Province. The study showed that left-behind parents had limited access to the remittances sent by married daughters, except when they carried out childcare responsibilities. Parents of unmarried daughters had some access to remittances, but this varied according to the economic conditions of the family. Left-behind parents were concerned about the safety of their daughters overseas, the marriage prospects of unmarried daughters, the stability of their daughters' marriages and the welfare of left-behind grandchildren. Because the migration of married and unmarried daughters has diverse impacts on left-behind parents, this should be considered in programs that aim to mitigate potential negative impacts of women's migration.

Before the global migration crisis, public policies in Brazil have proven to be insufficient to guarantee vulnerable migrant´s access to basic rights, especially the right to decent work. In this gap, companies, due to their economic power and the social impact of their practices, can be agents of sustainable peace, contributing to these people’s access to the formal labor market. This article proposes to analyze the Electrolux corporate practice of training and hiring refugees in Manaus, as a corporate agency for peace, to assess their social impact, as a potential to guarantee the right to work for these people.

In line with the discussion of the ambiguity and confusion of definitions of the term morality, the concept of morality as a multilayered phenomenon and the object of descriptive ethics is clarified. Morality includes (1) behavioral patterns, regularly reproduced in human communities (part of the ethos), which in turn are associated with (2) specific psycho-emotional and motivational-volitional mechanisms of regulation of individual behavior in the social environment, (3) a special way of recording information in social memory and the cultural-genetic mechanism of imitation, ie belongs to socio-cultural mechanisms and is not limited to what operates at the level of individual mental organization. And the fourth layer here is the actual mental activity, woven into a network of social communications, which affects individual behavior (morality in the narrow sense). Component of the ethos of the community, which is reproduced as a cultivated norm of the “right” person, which includes his ability to subject his will to certain rules of relations, to lead a proper life, which is highly valued in this community, which increases social status and self-esteem. the desire to imitate her and protect her as one’s own, as a personal value, as a significant person, is a harma. The harmа of ethos is a cultivated model of man as a social measure of “humanity”, its paradigm. He who meets this standard, the charm, is his own and deserves to be like him. Otherwise, the mechanism of xenophobic alienation is triggered. The presented distinction between the terms morality, ethos and haram allows us to more clearly structure the problematic field of descriptive ethics, distinguishing between established patterns of behavior characteristic of a particular community (its ethos), cultivated in it a sample of “his”, which fixed protection and selective mechanism (in the narrow sense) as part of the social impact on the individual and social consciousness in the form of teachings, guidelines, explanations, and so on.

AbstractThis article of reflection analyzes the family category, present new forms of structure of his dynamics fruit of the access of the woman to the work, labor competition, equality of kind, mother solterismo, for the Internet, children raised by his grandparents, women head of household, parents who recover labors in the home, for indicating some. The changes of the familia in this century, it leaves more questions that answers: what will happen with the traditional roles of masculinity, maternity and paternity? How there will face the “son” of a pair of the same sex his lack of specificity? The legal procedure as for family were created thinking about the traditional conformation of the familiar group. The offer in this investigation is to approach the relation between the right and the family, the social impact that it generates and to prepare ourselves for the changes that today and in a not very distant future we will continue finding.
