[Title: The Effect of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving Learning Model Toward Student Physics Science Learning Outcomes]. This research aims to know the effectiveness of the learning problem based learning model assisted work sheet for the critical thinking ability of physics students of grade X SMAN 1 Lingsar inacademics year 2016/2017. This was an experiments research that using design research Posttest-Only Control group Design. The population in this research were the whole grade X SMA Negeri 1 Lingsar in academics year 2016/2017. Sampling taken with using cluster random sampling technique with the students of class X. MIA. A as experiments class and grade X. MIA. D as controls class. Research hypothesis was analysis with the t-test for one party (the party right). Based on the hypothesis test results obtained tcount> ttable at significance level of 5%, then it can be inferred that the model of learning problem based learning assisted work sheet effective for critical thinking ability of physics students SMAN 1 Lingsar.

The optimal learning process, should be able to facilitate learning activities that cover both parts of the brain. This study aims to determine the effect of brain based learning model on the critical thinking ability of physics of students of class X. This research type is quasi experiment and use non-equivalent control group design with pre-test and post-test. The population in this study is all students of class X MIA SMAN 1 Gunungsari with sampling technique is purposive sampling, so obtained X MIA 3 as experiment class and X MIA 4 as control class. Data of critical thinking ability was analyzed by using t-test polled variance. Data analysis shows that tcount is 2.93 and ttable at 5% significance level of 2.0084, so tcount > ttable. Based on the result of research can be concluded that there is influence of brain based learning model to critical thinking ability physics students class X.Keywords: Brain Based Learning, Critical Thinking Ability

[Title: The Effect of Inquiry-Based Active Learning (ABI) on Students' Critical Thinking Ability]. The critical thinking ability is the ability to learn and analyze information through skills: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation and self-regulation. Inquiry-based active learning model (ABI) is a learning model that accumulates active and inquiry learning which aims to develop students critical thinking ability through phases: 1) introduction and establishing sets; 2) presenting cognitive conflicts; 3) submitting the hypothesis; 4) collecting data (experiment) for hypothesis testing; 5) formulate explanations and/or conclusions; 6) reflection. This research aims to determine the effect of inquiry-based active learning model (ABI) on students’ critical thinking ability. This research is quantitative research (quasi-experiments), this experimental research uses pretest-posttest control group design. This research is used cluster random sampling. The sample in this research amounted to 37 students as experimental class and 34 students as control class. The inferential analysis is used to test the influence of inquiry-based active learning model (ABI) in a review of improvement of students’ critical thinking ability. Hypothesis test results also show t-test value lower than t-table value, so it can be stated that the Inquiry-Based Aktive Learning Model (ABI) has a positive effect on critical thinking ability of X-GEO at SMKN 3 Mataram school year 2017/2018.

Implementation of Curriculum 2013 requires students to learn actively, independently, and critical thinking. Critical thinking is an activity through thinking about ideas related to concepts or problems. The efforts to improve critical thinking skills of learners can be done by using the appropriate learning model. One of the learning models that can be used to improve the ability of critical thinking is a problem-based learning model. This type of research is quasi experiment with randomized control-group pretest posttest design. The sample of this research choosed by used purposive sampling method. Class VIII6 as experimental class and class VIII4 as control class. Data of this research result are quantitative data of critical thinking ability. Data were analyzed by using t test. The results showed that the mean difference of posttest value with pretest value of critical thinking ability of experimental class learners is higher than control class. Hypothesis testing with t-test obtained tcalculate=2,94>ttable= 1,67, then H1 accepted. Based on these results the authors conclude that the implementation of problem-based learning model has a positive effect on the ability to think critically learners on the material additives and addictive substances.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis (1) perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif Group Investigation dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, (2) pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan bakat numerik siswa terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, (3) perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif Group Investigation dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, pada siswa yang memiliki bakat numerik tinggi, (4) perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif Group Investigation dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, pada siswa yang memiliki bakat numerik rendah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan yang digunakan adalah two way pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IA SMAN 2 Semarapura tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 171 orang. Sampel 76 orang siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling dengan uji kesetaraan kelas. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa keterampilan berpikir kritis dan bakat numerik siswa yang dikumpulkan dengan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan bakat numerik. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji ANAVA dua jalur dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Scheffe untuk menguji komparasi pasangan nilai rata-rata tiap kelompok perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan berpikir kritis kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif Group Investigation dan model pembelajaran langsung (Fh=14,153;pF’(0,05)=4,41).Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Group Investigation, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Bakat Numerik. This research aimed to analyze (1) the difference of critical thinking ability among the students who joined Group Investigation cooperative learning model with the students who take the direct learning model, (2) interaction effect between learning model and students’ numerical talent towards students’ critical thinking ability, (3) the difference of critical thinking ability among the students who joined Group Investigation cooperative learning model with the students who take the direct learning model, on high numerical talent students, (4) the difference of critical thinking ability among the students who joined Group Investigation cooperative learning model with the students who take the direct learning model, on low numerical talent students. The research type was a quasi experimental research with two ways pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research population was grade XI A1 students of SMAN 2 Semarapura Academic Year 2013/2014, with the amount 171 students. The sample was 76 students chosen by simple random sampling technique and class equality test. The data research was critical thinking ability and students’ numerical talent collected by critical thinking ability test and numerical talent. The hypothesis testing used ANOVA two paths followed by Scheffe test to test the comparative value pairs on average each treatment group. The research result showed (1) there was a significant difference between critical thinking ability of the students using Group Investigation cooperative learning model and direct learning model (Fh=14,153;p˂0,05). The students learnt using Group Investigation cooperative learning model showed better critical thinking ability and numerical talent. (2) There was an interaction effect between learning model and numerical talent towards critical thinking ability (Fh=4,502;p˂0,05). (3) There was a significant difference between critical thinking ability students’ levels that using Group Investigation cooperative learning model and direct learning model on high numerical talent students (Fh=16,68˃F’(0,05)=4,41). (4) There was a significant difference between critical thinking ability of the students using Group Investigation cooperative learning model and direct learning model for low numerical talent students (Fh=1,29˃F’(0,05)=4,41). keyword : Group Investigation Cooperative Learning Model, Critical Thinking Ability, Numerical Talent.

Education is a significant factor to shape human beings as a whole. The ability to think for humans plays an important role to develop information. The issue of lack of ability to think critically in Sahida Lemah Abang Vocational High School needed to be addressed. One learning model that can be utilized to guide students to think critically is Problem Based Learning (PBL) using an e-module as the resource of learning material. The study aims to examine the implementation of Problem Based Learning model using e-module and its influence on students' critical thinking ability.  This study used a quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design as its research design. In using the research design, two observations have been conducted; one was before the experiment called Pre-Test (O1) and one after the experiment of this study called the post-test (O2). There are two samples in this study; one is the experimental group and the other is the control group. The study was done in Sahida Lemah Abang Vocational High School. The data was gathered by using tests and observation sheets of the learning process. The result in this study shows averagely that the implementation in each of the learning stages has gained 95.7% which is in the category of very good value. The most significant difference is from the fifth indicator "developing strategy and tactic", n gain of experimental class and control class is 5.83 and 0.23 respectively. As the result of the hypothesis test is Sig. 0.035 which means that there is a significant difference in students' ability to think critically between the students in the experimental class and the control class, the students in the experimental class think more critically than the students in the control class.

This study is a pre test-post test experimental control group design having a goal to analyze  the role of problem based learning on students’ mathematical critical thinking ability  and self regulated learning. The study involved 60 eighth grade students of an MTs, a mathematical critical thinkng test, and a mathematical  self regulated learning scale. The study found that on mathematical critical thinking ability, its gain, and on mathematical self regulated learning, students getting treatment with problem based learning approach attained  better grade than that of students taught by conventional teaching. The first group students obtained at fairly good grades level, while the students taught by conventional teaching attained at medium grades level. The other findings, there was fairly good association between mathematical critical thinking  ability and mathematical self regulated learning.

Matematika merupakan pelajaran wajib yang sudah diajarkan semenjak dasar hingga menengah, matematika dapat melatih dan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir siswa. Namun, banyak siswa yang menganggap matematika adalah mata pelajaran yang sulit dipahami. Siswa cenderung menghindari bahkan takut untuk belajar matematika, sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Design dan rancangan penelitianThe Non equivalent Postets-Only Control Grup Design.Populasidalampenelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Dewantara, sementara sampelnya yaitu kelas VIII2dan VIII3dengan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Purposive Sampling. Adapun Teknik pengumpulandatayangdigunakandalam penelitianini adalah tes kemampuanberpikirkritis matematis siswa. Analisis data yang dilakukan untuk tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis menggunakan uji-t karena data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Dari hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan nilai signifikan 0,001 yang artinya tolak Ho sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berpengaruh pada kemampuan berpikir kritis matematissiswa.Mathematics is a compulsory subject that has been taught from elementary to middle school, mathematics can train and develop students' thinking skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of research Quasi Experimental Design and the research design of The Nonequivalent Postets-Only Control Group Design. The population in this study was class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Dewantara, while the sample was class VIII2 and VIII3 with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The data collection technique used in this study was a test of students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The data analysis conducted for the test of mathematical critical thinking skills used the t-test because the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. From the results of the hypothesis test, it was obtained a significant value of 0.001, which means reject Ho, so it can be concluded that using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model has an effect on students' mathematical critical thinking skills.

This study was aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative script learning model with handout towards the students’ critical thinking ability. The design of the study was quasi experiment in the form of nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. This study was conducted in SMA N 1 Gubug on 1st -22th August 2015 with the population of an entire class of X classes in SMA N 1 Gubug. The sample of the study consisted of two classes taken with cluster random sampling technique that was class X-F as experimental class and the class X-G as the control class. The data collecting technique were test and documentation.Based on the data analysis, it was obtained the means of the pretest score of experimental class was 44,77 and the control class was 33,33. Meanwhile, the students’ average score of post-test in experimental class was 80,40 and the control class was 73,70. Based on the pre-test and post-test result from those classes, it showed that there was a significant effect between students’ independence and students’ outcome in experimental class compared with control class. The hypothesis testing used significant level 5% was obtained tcount = 2,83 dan ttable = 1,67. This result indicated that cooperative script learning model with handout is more effective to improve students’ critical thinking ability

AbstractThe purpose of this research were to examine the effect of contextual learningmodel of Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring (REACT)with Virtual Simulation to critical thinking ability and student learning activity inSenior High School. The type of this research was experimental research using posttest only control group design. Population in this research was the tenth gradestudents of SMAN 2 Jember. The data were collected by observation, documentation,interview and test. The data were analyzed using Independent Sample T-Test withSPSS 24. The results showed that the average value of critical thinking ability ofexperimental class was 81,15 and control class was 69,91. In result of activity valueof experiment class was 86,943 and control class was 79,934. This study can beconcluded REACT learning model with virtual simulation have an effect onsignificance to critical thinking ability and student activity in physics learning insenior high school.Keywords: Contextual learning model of REACT, virtual simulation, criticalthinking, student learning activity
