In this study, the Best Private Universities in Medan will be discussed with the TOPSIS method (Techniques for Other References with Similarities to Solutions). TOPSIS is one method of Decision Support Systems that is used to accept decisions that have many criteria. The general objective of this study is to use the TOPSIS method which is expected to be able to provide optimal results in determining the best universities. And specific targets of this study can provide estimates or indicators that can be used by Universities in Medan in determining whether the College is the best or not. The criteria used in this study were Institutional, Student Activities, Lecturer HR, Research and Community Service, and Innovation. In the future these criteria can be added according to the needs and requirements provided by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. By applying the TOPSIS Method to Decision Supporters in the selection of the Best Private Universities in Medan City can provide optimal results based on the criteria and weighting that has been determined.

Activities in the selection of candidates for PASKIBRAKA every year aim to find the best sons and daughters who will be assigned as heirloom flag raisers. Selection of candidates for PASKIBRAKA members is done manually, to determine the final score of each participant. The selection committee still uses paper and is separate from the assessment to one criterion with the other criteria. In the assessment process with a large number of participants it will take a long time. To simplify the assessment process, a decision support system is needed for the selection of PASKIBRAKA candidates, using the TOPSIS Method (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution). TOPSIS is one method that is easy to use to solve multi-criteria problems by taking into account the values ​​of existing criteria. Based on the results of the case example, the candidate PASKIBRAKA selection shows that the results of the experiment use the same system as the manual calculation. And the calculation of the TOPSIS Method will produce output in the form of ranking from PAKIBRAKA candidates

Abstract - Star Computer Education Institute is an educational institution which is engaged in a course of computer education. Institutions of Star computer has many course participants. In terms of quality development achievements of the course participants, this course institutions always give credit for the course participants who excel, in order to enhance the spirit of learning the course participants. Given the limited inventory awards of course participants for each period, the educational institution must determine the selection of course participants through the most prominent and most appropriate test scores. Usually in the determination, the institution only sees the average value of the course certificate, and it is considered inaccurate. Thus, the agency wants to have other factors considered to determine the eligible course participants. The authors propose to use TOPSIS method to determine the most eligible course participants. . Keywords: Election of Course Participants, Decision Support System, TOPSIS. Abstrak – Lembaga Pendidikan Star Komputer adalah lembaga yang bergerak di bidang pendidikan Kursus komputer. Lembaga Star Komputer memiliki banyak peserta kursus. Dalam hal pencapaian pengembangan kualitas peserta kursus, lembaga kursus ini selalu memberikan penghargaan bagi peserta kursus yang berprestasi, guna meningkatkan semangat belajar peserta kursus. Dengan adanya keterbatasan persediaan penghargaan peserta kursus setiap periodenya, maka lembaga pendidikan harus menentukan pemilihan peserta kursus melalui nilai ujian yang paling menonjol dan paling layak. Biasanya dalam penentuannya, lembaga hanya melihat hasil nilai rata-rata dari sertifikat kursus, dan itu dirasa kurang tepat. Jadi, lembaga menginginkan agar ada faktor lain yang dipertimbangkan untuk menentukan peserta kursus yang berhak mendapat penghargaan. Penulis mengusulkan agar menggunakan metode TOPSIS untuk menentukan peserta kursus yang paling berhak mendapat penghargaan. Kata Kunci: Pemilihan Peserta Kursus, Sistem Penunjang Keputusan, TOPSIS.

<p align="center"><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p><em>Every year Indonesia to conduct the selection of students and high school students and above to be representative of their school as troops heritage flag raisers. During the assessment process for the selection of candidates for members Paskibraka done manually on paper and separate between the assessment criteria for the other criteria, then the assessment results are stored in the form of an excel file. To facilitate the assessment process then takes a decision support system for the selection of candidates for members Paskibraka by applying Fuzzy AHP TOPSIS. Fuzzy AHP TOPSIS method is a convenient method to solve the problem of multi-criteria taking into account the values of the existing criteria. Selama ini proses penilaian untuk seleksi calon anggota paskibraka dilakukan secara manual di atas kertas dan terpisah antara penilaian untuk kriteria yang satu dengan kriteria yang lainnya, kemudian hasil penilaian tersebut disimpan dalam bentuk file excel. Untuk mempermudah proses penilaian tersebut maka dibutuhkan suatu sistem pendukung keputusan untuk seleksi calon anggota paskibraka dengan menerapkan metode Fuzzy AHP Topsis. Metode Fuzzy AHP Topsis merupakan salah satu metode yang mudah digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah multi kriteria dengan memperhitungkan nilai-nilai dari kriteria yang ada. Maka dari itu diperlukan sistem pendukung keputusan menggunakan metode Fuzzy AHP Topsis, supaya dapat membantu memberikan rekomendasi keputusan untuk tim penyeleksi calon anggota paskibraka.</em></p><p><strong><em>Kata kunci</em></strong><em> : </em><em>Fuzzy AHP Topsis, Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, Seleksi</em></p>

Abstract - The scholarships are the provision of assistance to individuals for the sustainability of education pursued. In the selection of scholarship recipients made from the school that makes the selection of scholarship recipients selected subjects and not appropriate criteria. With the above problems then applied decision support system TOPSIS method in the assessment of scholarship recipients who have 4 criteria of welfare status, education of the head of the household, occupation status and residence statue. In this student assessment there are 5 alternatives that are A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5. Of the five alternatives are eligible to receive a scholarship that is A1 with a preference value 0.8460 Keywords: Decision Support System, Scholarship, TOPSIS Abstrak – Beasiswa merupakan pemberian bantuan kepada perorangan untuk keberlangsungan pendidikan yang ditempuh. Dalam melakukan pemilihan siswa penerima beasiswa yang dilakukan dari pihak sekolah yang membuat pemilihan siswa penerima beasiswa dipilih secara subjektid dan tidak sesuai kriteria. Dengan adanya permasalahan di atas maka diterapkan sistem pendukung keputusan metode TOPSIS dalam penilaian siswa penerima beasiswa yang memiliki 4 kriteria yaitu status kesejahteraan, pendidikan kepala rumah tangga, status kedudukan dalam pekerjaan dan statu pengguasaan tempat tinggal. Dalam penilaian siswa ini terdapat 5 alternatif yaitu A1, A2, A3, A4 dan A5. Dari kelima alternatif tersebut yang berhak menerima beasiswa yaitu A1 dengan nilai prefensi 0.8460 Kata Kunci: Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, Beasiswa, TOPSIS

The process of selecting a college should be based on the capabilities and needs of the community. When society is faced with a large selection of college criteria and most societies are confused about choosing the appropriate college for themselves and the job demands. From this it was made a decision support system aimed at helping the community to choose a college that suits the ability and demands of the work. Decision support system plays a role in helping people get the right recommendations in the selection of universities. This decision support system is also designed to help the community to choose a college that suits their needs so that the public is not confused because of the many criteria of universities faced by the community because the admin already has recommendations according to the needs of the community by using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method.

The dormitory is one of the facilities provided with the aim of helping students to get a place to live because some of them come from distant places. The Trunojoyo Madura University dormitory has regulations that serve as a place for the process of character education, spiritual deepening, moral improvement. With these regulations, plus the boarding house is a conducive, economical, and strategic place to stay making many students interested in being able to live there. The problem is that each semester change is carried out by the selection of dorm residents and so far it is still done manually by way of discussion of each individual. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to help the board by building a decision support system in determining residents who are still eligible to live in a dormitory and provide opportunities for other students to live in a dormitory. We develop systems based on mobile applications. TOPSIS method (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) is implemented as a multi criteria decision making method with four main criteria including routine absence, non-routine absence, violation and notes. The final results of this decision support system are ranks and colors that indicate the status of boarding residents. Ranking starts from the top (1) to the bottom (216) accompanied by a status of green to red. The color status is divided into 3 namely green (safe), yellow (vulnerable), and red (issued). From 216 boarders we took 10 samples of dormitory data for testing. The results of trials with 10 data samples by applying the TOPSIS method obtained an accuracy of 90%.
