Research relevance: the article presents the results after clinical observation of peripartum cardiomyopathy in a patient aged 30 years. Purpose of the study: to analyze the results of a clinical study conducted in the cardiology department of the Osh Medical United Clinical Hospital. Research methods: a differential diagnosis of acute myocarditis, idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and peripartum cardiomyopathy was carried out. Research results: taking into account the life history, laboratory and instrumental examination data, the diagnosis was peripartum cardiomyopathy. Conclusion: the treatment carried out gave a satisfactory clinical effect.

The article describes a clinical case of peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) in a 25 year old patient. The disease developed after emergency cesarean section necessitated by severe preeclampsia on week 37 of the first pregnancy. Differential diagnosis between acute myocarditis, idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy was performed. Taking into account the relationship between rapidly evolving symptoms of left ventricular heart failure and first pregnancy in the healthy woman, the lack of convincing evidence for myocarditis, dilatation of cardiac cavities and 25% reduction of ejection fraction, PPCM was diagnosed. The treatment resulted in a pronounced clinical effect.

After reviewing the literature on breath holding spells, it seemed desirable to determine whether any electroencephalographic abnormality is revealed by recordings during sleep in such cases. One hundred twenty-nine children between the ages of 7 months and 11½ years with breath holding spells were examined electroencephalographically while awake and during sleep. Seventy-seven of these children were boys and 52 were girls. All these children but one had normal electroencephalograms. One tracing taken during a breath holding spell is reproduced which shows slow wave but no seizure activity. The clinical diagnosis is discussed and it is concluded that the electroencephalogram in combination with the history and clinical observation is of value in the differential diagnosis between breath holding spells and convulsive disorders.

The study reports on 100 children and adolescents evaluated in a pediatric cardiology department. The results state that 13% of the population met the criteria for Major Depressive Disorder based on DSM III. There were four patients who were referred because of chest pain. All of them were found to be free from cardiovascular disorders, but all were found to be in the depressed group. The authors emphasize the importance of chest pain in differential diagnosis of childhood depression.

TJ-137 administered to patients with chronic ITP increased the platelet count "slightly" or more in 31.7% of the patients and showed a clinical effect in 40.9% with a rating of "modestly effective" or better. With a low incidence of adverse reactions, TJ-137 is ex pected to be a new drug for the treatment of ITP.

The article presents the case of the formation of a giant fecal stone in 34 weeks of pregnancy, which demanded the differential diagnosis of tumors originating from the pelvis. The patient was conducted multistage finger fragmentation of the fecal stone, alternating with the enema. The patient was discharge home with progressing pregnancy.

Background: Acute myocarditis and acute myocardial infarction have frequently similar clinical presentations and poses an important clinical challenge in the differential diagnosis. In both cases, the electrocardiographic ST-T changes and an increase in troponins can be noted. Differential diagnosis may be very challenging and requires invasive assessment of coronary arteries and other investigations especially cardiac magnetic resonance. Case Presentation: In this report, we report a rare case of acute myocarditis misdiagnosed to an acute myocardial infarction in a patient presented to the emergency department for an acute onset of chest pain with ST-segment elevation on electrocardiogram for which he received urgent fibrinolysis. The confirmation of acute myocarditis was confirmed posteriori after a normal coronary angiogram using cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging cMRI. Conclusions: Clinical signs as long with Electrocardiogram may mimick a ST elevation myocardial infarction in the presence of an authentic acute myocarditis,Hence, cardiac magnetic resonance could present an intersting tools to make the difference even in acute phase.
