The purpose of this article is to present a state of art implementation of air quality sensors in public transport stops. Effects on health due to different types of pollutants are summarized as well. Functional scope of the solutions, via warning messages displayed for passengers waiting at these stops, including a cross system communication between traffic management and public transport systems, are also focused. Analysis of existing sensor types from multiple view point including functions, types of measured pollutants, price ranges and comparisons are outlined.

The main source of delays in public transport systems (buses, trams, metros, railways) takes place in their stations. For example, a public transport vehicle can travel at 60 km per hour between stations, but its commercial speed (average en-route speed, including any intermediate delay) does not reach more than half of that value. Therefore, the problem that public transport operators must solve is how to reduce the delay in stations. From the perspective of transport engineering, there are several ways to approach this issue, from the design of infrastructure and vehicles to passenger traffic management. The tools normally available to traffic engineers are analytical models, microscopic traffic simulation, and, ultimately, real-scale laboratory experiments. In any case, the data that are required are number of passengers that get on and off from the vehicles, as well as the number of passengers waiting on platforms. Traditionally, such data has been collected manually by field counts or through videos that are then processed by hand. On the other hand, public transport networks, specially metropolitan railways, have an extensive monitoring infrastructure based on standard video cameras. Traditionally, these are observed manually or with very basic signal processing support, so there is significant scope for improving data capture and for automating the analysis of site usage, safety, and surveillance. This article shows a way of collecting and analyzing the data needed to feed both traffic models and analyze laboratory experimentation, exploiting recent intelligent sensing approaches. The paper presents a new public video dataset gathered using real-scale laboratory recordings. Part of this dataset has been annotated by hand, marking up head locations to provide a ground-truth on which to train and evaluate deep learning detection and tracking algorithms. Tracking outputs are then used to count people getting on and off, achieving a mean accuracy of 92% with less than 0.15% standard deviation on 322 mostly unseen dataset video sequences.

Traffic management in a city, even assisted by intelligent transport systems, is a very complex process. Analyzing a single intersection may not produce the intended effect or even contribute to a deterioration from the initial state. The most important element of introducing changes should be traffic monitoring. The article presents the influence of traffic lights on the functioning of public transport, on the example of Kosciuszko Square in Wroclaw. Presented proposals were preceded by several hours of traffic observations, some of the results were presented at this paper. The article proposes changes to streamline public transport within the square.

The authors of the article seek to determine the nature, characteristics and main directions of development of transport infrastructure in the municipality of Tyumen; to describe the management system for development of transport infrastructure; to develop a model for improving the management of transport infrastructure in the city of Tyumen, to identify measures for improving regional and municipal legislation; to make recommendations for the system of municipal authorities. The study is based on the basic principles and methods of development of transport systems of municipalities. The authors conclude that only implementation of a complex integrated policy at the state level based on the synthesis of transport management systems, urban planning, land use and traffic management is able to resolve current problems in the transport infrastructure of Russian cities. Federal monitoring and control of compliance of public transport services with the quality standards along with responsibility of heads of municipalities will become the main incentives for the priority development of public transport in Russian cities.

Cleaning of the AC ducts is the need because it creates problems such as the bad indoor air quality which results in health issues and it also causes the large maintenance of the system. The uncleaned air ducts become home for fungi, dust and harmful microbial. The causes and effects of this thing are mentioned following. The AC ducts can be cleaned through various methodologies i.e. conventional and by using robots. In the conventional system, there is manual cleaning by using some equipment. Cleaning the ducts by using robots would be a good solution for this. Different types of robot systems i.e. crawling robot, articulated robot and inspection robot are deployed for the application. There are different types of robots and their equipment according to size and type of duct. The cleaning of rectangular shape ducts is quite difficult than others. Finally, it results that cleaning ducts is the most important thing and using robots is the best methodology for it.
