The scientific paper presents practical research carried out by a mixed team of Romanian researchers from universities and the business environment. The research consists in applying the process of cutting metallic materials through electrical discharge machining with contact breaking using a metal band as a transfer object. The research was implemented with the help of a specially designed installation in the laboratory and subsequently all the necessary steps were taken to obtain the patent for it. Various metallic materials were cut using this process, but first of all, high alloy steels. In the global research conducted by the authors, active experimental programs and classic experimental programs were used. The composite central factorial experiment was the method that led to the most effective results in terms of interpretations and conclusions. The research as a whole includes unique elements from an engineering point of view and here we can highlight the use of a metal band as a transfer object for this type of process as well as the designed, realized, and subsequently patented installation.

The scientific paper presents an extensive research on modeling and optimizing the technological parameters of the process for processing by processing electric discharges with massive electrode with and without magnetic activation. Scientific research is based on real data collected from the process of electrical discharges performed on various samples extracted from areas of welded joints of metal components made of high alloy steel. The processing of experimental data was performed both classically and actively, especially the method of the central factorial experiment composed of orthogonal and rotary. The process parameters that were initially modeled and subsequently optimized were based on a series of independent variables characteristic of dimensional processing by copying the shape of the electrical discharge processing. Subsequent research conclusions and directions, as well as original contributions, are an experimentally validated point of view and worthy of consideration. All these fundamental ideas highlighted above find their explanations and the corresponding explicit treatment in the content of this scientific paper that addresses both managers at all levels and researchers.

Die assembly is a kind of special tools for fabrication of metal or non-metallic materials parts with required design and purpose. Generally, the high material hardness for die assembly should be selected to increase the service life and reduce the cost in manufactory industry. Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a suitable method for fabrication of die assembly as the material remove in EDM process mainly depends on the material's thermal characteristics, regardless of the hardness. In this paper, the machining strategies for fabrication of die assembly with typical shaped cavity using EDM were discussed, according to the different cavity structures, the best machining strategies were proposed

Abstract Surface machined by high-speed wire electrical discharge machining (HS-WEDM) at super-high thickness (more than 1000 mm) cutting suffers from uneven surface, a major problem that has been investigated in this paper. According to the analysis, as wire frame span increases, the rigidity of the wire electrode decreases, and under the action of discharge explosive force, wire electrode vibration intensifies. As a result, the machining stability inevitably decreases. However, the core problem is whether there is enough working fluid in the slit to dampen and absorb the vibration of the wire electrode so as to ensure the positional stability of the wire electrode. To verify the above point of view: first, the wire guide and gravity take-up with bidirectional tension in the wire feeding system were installed to improve the positional accuracy of the wire electrode; second, to improve the flow of the working fluid into the slit, the slit width was increased by improving the working fluid and a medium carrier with a higher melting point and vaporization point can reduce the vaporization of the working fluid in the slit as much as possible. The experiment showed that the outlet flow of the improved working fluid is 56.72% higher than that of the original working fluid when cutting a 750 mm thick workpiece, which increases the damping and vibration absorption effect of the working fluid on the wire electrode in the long and narrow gap. After the above measures were implemented, super-high thickness cutting can be carried out continuously and steadily, the surface evenness was significantly improved, and the workpiece with a thickness of 2000 mm was cut successfully.

Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM) an unconventional machining technology which has become indispensable in many industries. The typical morphology of a surface machined using the electrical discharge technology is characterized with a large number of craters caused by electro-spark discharges produced during the machining process. The study deals with an evaluation of the machine parameter setting on the profile parameters of surface waviness on samples made of two metal materials Al 99.5 and Ti-6Al-4V. Attention was also paid to an evaluation of the surface morphology using 3D colour filtered and non-filtered images.

The aim of the present paper is to reconcile a philosophical reflection on the role of the family as a communitarian entity in the business environment based on the individualistic principle and practical research aimed at identifying young people’s attitudes towards their involvement in family business. Respondents of the research were students of the final years of secondary schools, tertiary professional schools and vocational schools in the Liberec Region. The family is treated from the ethical point of view as well as in terms of political and economic philosophy as a suitable environment to shape economic attitudes in young people that are not restricted to a merely ‘economist’ form of rationality and as able to play an important part in a properly working state economy. The practical research shows that a young person’s intention to work in the family business depends on whether they are involved in it already during their studies.

The paper examines the specific knowledge universities transfer to industry, reflecting to creative industry needs. As results shows, the most asked alumni competences should be tacit knowledge and divergent thinking. Divergent thinking influence the creativity. Creativity is often defined as the ability to develop new and useful ideas, but in deep literature review, we can see few irregularities and different definitions of creativity. The paper also evaluates the importance of creativity from business environment point of view and from the creative industry perspective and creative firm owners. As point of view. Another key finding is, that to educate creative people will be one of the key competitive advantage, because mainly the ability to create and disseminate knowledge is often at the heart of the organization's competitive advantage not only in creative industry, but in transport industry as well.
