In order to improve the fuel economy of vehicles, based on the automated mechanical transmission (AMT), a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) hybrid transmission for low-end multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) is developed. To obtain the statistics of the best-selling models, we took several best-selling models in the Chinese market as the research object to study the relationship between power demand, energy demand, weight, and cost. The power requirements and energy requirements of PHEVs are decoupled. According to the decoupled theory, a single-motor parallel scheme based on the AMT is adopted to develop a PHEV hybrid transmission. In the distribution of engine and motor power, the engine just needs to meet the vehicle’s constant driving power, and the backup power can be provided by the motor, which means we can use an engine with a smaller power rating. The energy of short-distance travel is mainly provided by the motor, which can make full use of the battery, reducing the fuel consumption. The energy of long-distance travel is mainly provided by the engine, which can reduce the need for battery capacity. The working modes of the electrified mechanical transmission (EMT) are proposed, using P3 as the basic working mode and setting the P2 mode at the same time, and the gear ratios are designed. Based on the above basic scheme, two rounds of prototype development and assembling prototype vehicles for testing are carried out for the front-engine-front-drive (FF) layout. The test results show that the vehicle’s economy has been improved compared to the unmodified vehicle, and the fuel-saving rate of 100 kilometers has been achieved at 35.18%. The prototype development and the vehicle matching verify the effectiveness of the new configuration based on AMT.

Abstract Using received texts and excavated funerary epitaphs, this article examines the intricacies of gender and migration in early medieval China by exploring women's long-distance mobility from the fourth century to the sixth century, when what is now known as China was divided by the Northern Wei and a succession of four southern states—the Eastern Jin, Liu-Song, Southern Qi, and Liang. I focus on three types of migration in which women participated during this period: war-induced migration, family reunification, and religious journeys. Based on this analysis, I propose answers to two important questions: the connection between migration and the state, and textual representations of migrants. Though the texts under consideration are usually written in an anecdotal manner, the references to women, I argue, both reveals nuances in perceptions of womanhood at the time and elucidates the contexts within—and through—which long-distance travel became possible for women.

The study analyzed the different factors that are responsible for the harassment of women garment workers in Bangladesh. Three garment factories from Mirpur area under Dhaka district were selected purposively where garment factories are available. The sample consisted of 90 women workers taking 30 randomly from each of the three garment factories. Female workers are mostly employed at the lower category of jobs like operator, finishing helper, polyer etc. These jobs are very monotonous in nature. Because of the nature of their jobs, female workers sometimes lose interest in work and become depressed. A large number of female workers received low and irregular wages which create their job dissatisfaction. Only 22 female workers earned salary between Tk. 2700 to Tk. 3000 per month. Female workers are sexually harassed by their co-workers in the factory or by police or by mastans in the street. Communication problem is a major problem faced by most of the female garment workers. A long distance travel is not only physical strenuous but also mentally stressful. Their overtime rate is very low. Long working hours result in a number of illnesses and diseases like headache, eye trouble, ear ache, musculoskeletal pain etc. Women are exploited easily due to lack of technical knowledge and training. Migration is a key driver of human cultural and genetic evolution, with recent theoretical advances calling for work to accurately identify factors behind early colonization patterns. However, inferring prehistoric migration strategies is a controversial field of inquiry that largely relies on interpreting settlement chronologies and constructing plausible narratives around environmental factors. Model selection approaches, along with new statistical models that match the dynamic nature of colonization, offers a more rigorous framework to test competing theories. We demonstrate the utility of this approach by developing an Island-Level Model of Colonization adapted from epidemiology in a Bayesian model-selection framework. Using model selection techniques, we assess competing colonization theories of Near and Remote Oceania, showing that models of exploration angles and risk performed considerably better than models using inter-island distance, suggesting early seafarers were already adept at long-distance travel. These results are robust after artificially increasing the uncertainty around settlement times. We show how decades of thinking on colonization strategies can be brought together and assessed in one statistical framework, providing us with greater interpretive power to understand a fundamental feature of our past.

<p> There is a simple concept that can significantly improve the environmental balance of battery electric vehicles and at the same time avoid the known disadvantages of these vehicles (short range, long charging times, high acquisition costs) without having to wait for further developed batteries or a higher proportion of green electricity. For this purpose, the vehicles are equipped with built-in batteries for short and medium distances and are therefore sufficient for the majority of daily journeys. For long-distance journeys, the driver borrows charged additional battery packs at swapping stations, which are automatically inserted into a standardised exchange slot within a few minutes. This paper focuses on the improvements in electric vehicles that can be achieved by combining built-in and exchangeable battery technique and also on the practical feasibility of the concept. It is shown that the battery capacity required for the entire vehicle fleet can be significantly reduced. The resulting ecological advantages on the one hand and grid-stabilising effects of a nationwide network of swapping stations on the other hand, support the transition to environmentally sustainable mobility. The characteristics of the concept presented are advantageous for its practical implementation. The acceptance by customers and manufacturers can thus be improved compared to previous battery swapping systems. The loan system for the exchange batteries may be designed conveniently and information security as well as data protection will be strictly complied.</p>

Fasilitas pelayanan publik merupakan salah satu fungsi bangunan gedung yang menjadi tujuan masyarakat dalam berbagai urusan administrasi maupun pemerintahan di sebuah kota maupun daerah. Proses administrasi, dengan jenis dan hierarki yang beragam, yang dilakukan sering kali menuntut masyarakat untuk melakukan perjalanan dari tempat tinggal menuju fasilitas pelayanan publik dan sebaliknya. Jenis layanan publik dan jarak jangkau perjalanan dapat menjadi salah satu faktor yang menentukan sebaran dan alokasi fasilitas pelayanan publik dalam sebuah bagian wilayah kota.Artikel ini ditulis dengan tujuan untuk menjelaskan pilihan (preferensi) masyarakat terhadap sebaran lokasi fasilitas pelayanan publik di Kota Pontianak, khususnya Kecamatan Pontianak Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menjadikan jenis dan hierarki fasilitas pelayanan publik di Kota Pontianak, radius layanan, perilaku perjalanan, kepemilikan moda, dan lain-lain sebagai variabel penelitian. Selanjutnya artikel ini akan menggunakan pendekatan statistik deskriptif untuk memberikan gambaran pilihan masyarakat terhadap sebaran fasilitas pelayanan publik.Terdapat dua faktor utama yang mempengaruhi pilihan masyarakat di Kecamatan Pontianak Utara terhadap sebaran fasilitas pelayanan publik, yaitu jarak tempuh dan kualitas layanan. The service processes, with diverse types and hierarchies, often require people to travel from residence to public service facilities and vice versa. The type of public service and travel distance can be one of the factors that determine the distribution and allocation of public service facilities in a part of the city area.This article aims to explain the society's choice to the distribution of public service facilities in Pontianak City, especially Pontianak Utara Subdistrict. This research is done by making the type and hierarchy of public service facility in Pontianak City, service radius, travel behavior, and so on as research variables. Furthermore, this article will use a descriptive statistical approach to provide an overview of society's choice of public service facilities.There are two main factors influencing the choice of people in Pontianak Utara Subdistrict to the distribution of public service facilities, ie mileage and service quality.
