Over the last two decades, experimental economics has been gaining relevance in the research of a wide range of issues related to agriculture. In turn, the agricultural activity provides an excellent field of study within which to validate the use of instruments employed by experimental economics. The aim of this study is to analyze the dynamics of the research on the application of experimental economics in agriculture on a global level. Thus, a literature review has been carried out for the period between the years 2000 and 2020 based on a bibliometric study. The main results show that there has been a growing use of experimental economics methods in the research on agriculture, particularly over the last five years. This evolution is evident in the different indicators analyzed and is reflected in the greater scientific production and number of actors involved. The most relevant topics within the research on experimental economics in agriculture focus on the farmer, the markets, the consumer, environmental policy, and public goods. These results can be useful for policy makers and researchers interested in this line of research.

This article sketches a sociology in the making that arises out of the case of GM food in Britain in 1999. It is presented with a view to moving, collaboratively, towards its further study. A ‘considered sociology’ is not original. It requires treating as an integral and enduring part of the field of investigation the historical and social characterisation of that same field. An evaluation of the sociology of food indicates that field's limitations for the examination of GM food, with one key exception. The article moves on to propose the need for (a) an as yet underinvestigated field of the industrialisation of food together with the role of science and technology within it, and (b) an examination of the industrialised (social) scientific production of ‘the consumer’. These may then serve as a basis for examining the manner in which public coverage of GM food could be characterised not as a matter of science but of a PR and is now publicly construed as a debate, ‘pro’ and ‘anti’.

The aim of this study is to discuss the scientific production scenario related to the theme entrepreneurship in the creative industries sector through a bibliometric study, using co-citation network. The sample was based on the ISI Web of Knowledge platform (Web of Science), totaling 131 selected articles. Based on data analysis, we concluded that entrepreneurship in the creative industry sector is a subject still under-explored, but there has been a significant increase in publications in the last five years. Looking at the co-citation network, we were able to map the intellectual structure of entrepreneurship in the creative industries sector and the development in research and publications as well.

Abstract: This paper discusses aspects of evaluation processes concerning the concession of research grants by CNPq (Brazil’s funding agency for scientific research and technology). It approaches the role of advisory committees and ad hoc consultants, considering criteria applied to classify researchers in different ranks (1 and 2) and categories (C, B, and A). The discussion of this classificatory system is based on the analysis of researchers’ scientific production presented in the Directory of Research Groups, published in 2002. An analysis of the form used by ad hoc consultants is also presented, pointing out the need for spelling out the criteria applied to assess research proposals, in order to reach more rigorous and objective decisions. Keywords: evaluation; research funding; urban research.

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: To analyze the scientific production on Burnout Syndrome in physicians and nurses of ICU in Brazil. METHOD: Bibliometric study, documentary, with quantitative approach. We selected articles published in Brazil on Burnout Syndrome in the ICUs, in the VHL and Portal Capes, from 2000 to 2018. RESULTS: 40 articles were identified, predominantly from the Southeast. Prevalence of those published in the Brazilian Journal of Intensive Care and in the Journal of Nursing UFPE online. The B2 Qualis periodical is the most prominent. We analyzed the scientific production of astronomers published in the first Mexican journal of astronomy, the Boletín de losObservatorios de Tonantzintla y Tacubaya (BOTT), from 1952 to 1972. The bibliometric behavior of the BOTT is provided, identifying the most productive authors, article usage, as well as impact and visibility
