The rapid industrialization in the last decades significantly changed the traditional spatial arrangement in Central Kalimantan Island. The indigenous community’s traditional forest lands management and ownership were transferred to oil palm plantations and mining corporations. Therefore, it disempowered the traditional spatial arrangement by changing the community’s living conditions and transforming their livelihood sources from primary (forests) to secondary and tertiary. The disempowered traditional spatial arrangement of the Tumbang Marikoi village community includes a living area with rivers, forests, and dwellings. They access the forest through the village Kahayan Hulu and the Marikoi River. There is no power grid in Marikoi Village, making them depend on a solar-powered energy generation facility for their daily activities, including gardening, gathering forest products, hunting, mining gold, and fishing. This study applied the phenomenological method to explain the traditional spatial disempowerment in Marikoi Village, Central Kalimantan, following corporate plantation powers and mining activities. The results indicated that the palm plantations affected the Dayak community's living space and daily life. Furthermore, the ownership and management of their customary land, enhancing their economic, social, cultural, and religious life, was transferred to large plantations. As a result, the community’s traditional spatial arrangement was disempowered through river silting from soil drilling, cloudy river water, flooding, distant land for income (selling honey, vegetables, rattan, herbal medicine, and other forest wealth), farming restrictions by clearing land and losing sacred areas and ancestral rituals.

The Ngaju Dayak people still respect and appreciate their families despite their different religions. This attitude is based on the huma betang philosophy of the Ngaju Dayak tribe. That they are one big family, one descendant, one ancestor. Therefore it is difficult for the congregation to leave the traditional rituals for this reason, pastoral care is needed from the pastor of the Evangelical Kalimantan Church by building relationships to make it easier to provide a biblical understanding. It is indicated that pastoral care for the members of the congregation has not been maximally carried out by the pastor, resulting in the foundation of the congregation's faith being shallow in interpreting life in obedience to God's word. It can be seen from the indications that there are still members of the congregation violating the teachings of the Christian faith by practicing rituals related to the traditions and beliefs of their ancestors. Therefore, based on the description of the background of the problem, it can be formulated as follows: 1)How big is the significant level of influence in building relationships with others based on I Samuel 28:1-25 on the spiritual quality of the members of the Evangelical Kalimantan Church who attended the TantulakAmbunRutasMatei ceremony in Katingan district, Central Kalimantan? 2)How big is the significant level of influence in building a relationship with Godbased on I Samuel 28:1-25 on the spiritual quality of the members of the Evangelical Kalimantan Church who attended the TantulakAmbunRutasMatei ceremony in Katingan district, Central Kalimantan? 3) How muchbig significant level What is the effect of pastoral care based on I Samuel 28:1-25 on the spiritual quality of the members of the Evangelical Kalimantan Church who attend the TantulakAmbunRutasMatei ceremony in Katingan district, Central Kalimantan?

Over the past 30 years, forest fire has been one of main ecological issues in Indonesia. Human-caused deforestation was accused to be the reason behind this matter, apart from the drastic changing in global climate. Palangkaraya is one of the citiesaffected by haze of the forest fire in 2015; considered to be the worst year of forest fire with the value of PM10 was above the normal threshold. As the impact to the community wellbeing, the prevalence of acute respiratory infection (ARI) in October 2015was increasing especially in children. The research aimed to analyse the spatial distribution of children with ARI in October 2015 at Palangkaraya City. Data onARI number were collected from Primary Care under Public Health Office of Palangkaraya City. The PM 10 value was collected bythe Environmental Agency of Palangkaraya City. The spatial analyse method was conducted using theAverage Nearest Neighbour (ANN) method. The result shows that the number of ANN ratio is 0.761801. It means that the distribution pattern of children with ARI in Central Kalimantan during the forest fire in October 2015 was in cluster form. Abstract The Arut River flows through the city of Pangkalan Bun in Central Kalimantan and is the forerunner of the formation of this city. The structure of the residential space formed by houses on stilts and wooden roads further strengthens the existence of riverside settlements. The settlements on the banks of the Arut River currently function not only as residences but also tourist attractions with the concept of a waterfront city. Waterfront city in Pangkalan Bun City began to be developed in 2018 in Mendawai Village. Tourism activities on the banks of the Arut River have affected the use of residential space, so this study aims to find changes in residential space as a result of the development of tourism activities. The research methodology used is rationalistic qualitative with an empirical and spatial approach. The results showed that public residential spaces such as roads and rivers underwent more changes, on certain days and hours the street space turned into parking, selling areas, and sitting/“hanging out” areas. Private spaces such as houses also turn into stalls/shops and inns.

This paper reports the effect of teaching electricity in simple DC circuits using a scientific approach on students’ understanding. The study was a pre-experimental design using 12 students. They were all studying in specific first secondary schools in the sub-urban area in Kasongan City, Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. This work used the multiple-choice tests to combine reasoning and certainty of response index (CRI). This test was used as pre and post-test, respectively, to assess students’ understanding of electricity in simple DC circuits. As a result, it is found that the secondary students have alternate conceptions about simple DC circuits, such as “electricity comes out of both ends of a cell” and “a circuit uses up the electric current”. On the other hand, the results of this study showed that the use of a scientific approach in learning could help students achieve conceptual change about electricity in simple DC circuits. The findings from the study suggested that there was a difference in students’ understanding of simple DC circuits between pre-test and post-test. The scientific approach to learning seemed to help students achieve conceptual change about electricity in simple DC circuits.
