scholarly journals Smart Garbage Collection and Dumping System using NI my RIO and Arduino

The key issue in waste management system to ensure healthy environment is Garbage Collection and Dumping In traditional method, at public places garbage bins are placed to collect the garbage, which is usually collected by the garbage collection truck with the help of employed personnel and will be sent to the dumping yard to dump the collected garbage. These bins overflowed frequently before the routine maintenance takes place, which leads to bad order and unhygienic environment causing various life-costing diseases. As this problem is increasing day-by-day, an automated system for effective waste management system is desired which can collect garbage timely without human involvement is proposed and is implemented using NI myRIO, Arduino UNO and NI LabVIEW software. The proposed system consists of two main sub systems- Big Bin and small bin. Big bin moves in a regular predefined path marked as black line in regular time intervals to collect garbage from Small Bins placed in different locations. The proposed system is capable to automate the entire garbage collection and dumping process to ensure healthy environment.

Abstract: With the increase in population, the state of sanitation is declining. The abundance of garbage in public places creates a climate of impurity. It can cause several serious illnesses in the immediate vicinity. It also reduces the area rating. To avoid this and to improve sanitation, a 'smart waste management system' is proposed for this project. In the proposed system, the level of debris in dust bins is detected with the help of a Sensor, and transferred to a control room authorized by the GSM system. Microcontroller is used to communicate with the sensor system and the GSM / GPRS system. The Amazon application is built to monitor the information you want related to the waste of various selected sites. This will help to manage your waste collection more efficiently. Keywords: Smart Dustbin, Renesas, Force Sensor, IR Sensor, GSM, Android App.

Waste management is one of the biggest problems facing the world in any developed or developing country. An important aspect of waste management is that the waste bin in the open space is properly filled before the next cleaning process begins. This can eventually lead to various hazards such as dirt and bad odor in the area, which can lead to the spread of various diseases. Population growth has significantly reduced toilets through the waste management system. Laying garbage in public places creates a polluted environment. To eliminate or reduce waste and maintain good hygiene, it requires a waste-based waste management system. The need for proper waste management is not limited to proper collection and disposal of waste. It continues to be a waste disposal and recyclable level. Recycling is considered a major benefit because in addition to waste disposal, our reliance on immature materials is declining. By recycling metal, plastic and glass, the use of decomposing waste can extend beyond compost and manure. Metals can be reused and plastic can be mixed with clay filler, which can lead to soil compaction. After deep cleaning the glass construction material can be broken down and re-melted into new articles. This article is about machine learning and the use of artificial intelligence in the most viable areas and understanding the full need for human communication.

The quantity of garbage in the city of Mangalore is increasing daily. The garbage needs to be gathered from several points of location and then need to be moved to garbage collection sites. These enormous number of garbage collection points itself seed pollution and also absence of waste management resources available by the government will have the severe impact on environment and surrounding community. In view of all these impacts on the community and environment the authors have lifted this issue to build an internet of things based smart trash bin in and around the city. These smart trash bins are very fruitful and time-efficient waste management system that will be effective in Mangalore's smart city project.
