This paper principally combines ideas of laptop vision, machine learning and deep learning for correct detection of traffic lights and their classifications. It checks for each circular and arrow stoplight cases. Color filtering and blob discover ion area unit principally to detect the candidates (traffic lights) [6]. Then, a PCA network is employed as a multiclass classifier which provides the result sporadically. MOT will used for more trailing method and prediction filters out false positives. Sometimes, vote theme can even be used rather than MOT. This method will be simply fitted into ADAS vehicles once hardware thinks about. Recognition is as vital as detective work the traffic lights. While not recognition, no full data will be transmitted [2]. Many complicated TLR’s will give advance functions like observing the most the most for a specific route (when there's quite one) and the way removed from the driving force [3]. Deep learning is additionally one among the rising techniques for analysis areas [7]. Object detection comes as associate integral a part of laptop vision. Object detection will be best utilized in create estimation, vehicle detection, police work etc. In detection algorithms, we tend to incline to draw a bounding box round the object of interest to find it among the image. Also, the drawing of the bounding box isn't distinctive and might hyperbolically looking on the need [9].

Nowadays, delivery is mainly done by humans which includes a lot of manual work. The existing way is good but lacks faster deliveries. In the present context the deliveries are not possible 24*7 by humans, especially in the case of medicines, customers often require immediate deliveries for maintaining their course of medication. Since, in many other fields AI has contributed to decreasing a lot of manual work and time. In this research paper, we have proposed the idea of a delivery bot which uses deep learning algorithms to detect traffic lights and classify the color of the traffic light. On the basis of which the lapse time will be calculated in between the two traffic lights and hence maps the route for delivery with the help of geocoding accordingly which helps in more secure and faster deliveries.

This article presents the process of adapting support vector machine model’s parameters used for studying the effect of traffic light cycle length parameter’s value on traffic quality. The survey is carried out using data collected during running simulations in author’s traffic simulator. The article shows results of searching for optimum traffic light cycle length parameter’s value.

The crime rates today can inevitably put a civilian's life in danger. While consistent efforts are being made to alleviate crime, there is also a dire need to create a smart and proactive surveillance system. Our project implements a smart surveillance system that would alert the authorities in real-time when a crime is being committed. During armed robberies and hostage situations, most often, the police cannot reach the place on time to prevent it from happening, owing to the lag in communication between the informants of the crime scene and the police. We propose an object detection model that implements deep learning algorithms to detect objects of violence such as pistols, knives, rifles from video surveillance footage, and in turn send real-time alerts to the authorities. There are a number of object detection algorithms being developed, each being evaluated under the performance metric mAP. On implementing Faster R-CNN with ResNet 101 architecture we found the mAP score to be about 91%. However, the downside to this is the excessive training and inferencing time it incurs. On the other hand, YOLOv5 architecture resulted in a model that performed very well in terms of speed. Its training speed was found to be 0.012 s / image during training but naturally, the accuracy was not as high as Faster R-CNN. With good computer architecture, it can run at about 40 fps. Thus, there is a tradeoff between speed and accuracy and it's important to strike a balance. We use transfer learning to improve accuracy by training the model on our custom dataset. This project can be deployed on any generic CCTV camera by setting up a live RTSP (real-time streaming protocol) and streaming the footage on a laptop or desktop where the deep learning model is being run.

Minimizing human intervention in engines, such as traffic lights, through automatic applications and sensors has been the focus of many studies. Thus, Deep Learning (DL) algorithms have been studied for traffic signs and vehicle identification in an urban traffic context. However, there is a lack of priority vehicle classification algorithms with high accuracy, fast processing, and a lightweight solution. For filling those gaps, a vehicle detection system is proposed, which is integrated with an intelligent traffic light. Thus, this work proposes (1) a novel vehicle detection model named Priority Vehicle Image Detection Network (PVIDNet), based on YOLOV3, (2) a lightweight design strategy for the PVIDNet model using an activation function to decrease the execution time of the proposed model, (3) a traffic control algorithm based on the Brazilian Traffic Code, and (4) a database containing Brazilian vehicle images. The effectiveness of the proposed solutions were evaluated using the Simulation of Urban MObility (SUMO) tool. Results show that PVIDNet reached an accuracy higher than 0.95, and the waiting time of priority vehicles was reduced by up to 50%, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed solution.

The object detection system is a computer technology related to image processing and computer vision that detects instances of semantic objects of a certain class in digital images and videos. The system consists of two main processes, which are classification and detection. Once an object instance has been classified and detected, it is possible to obtain further information, including recognizes the specific instance, track the object over an image sequence and extract further information about the object and the scene. This paper presented an analysis performance of deep learning object detector by combining a deep learning Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for object classification and applies classic object detection algorithms to devise our own deep learning object detector. MiniVGGNet is an architecture network used to train an object classification, and the data used for this purpose was collected from specific indoor environment building. For object detection, sliding windows and image pyramids were used to localize and detect objects at different locations, and non-maxima suppression (NMS) was used to obtain the final bounding box to localize the object location. Based on the experiment result, the percentage of classification accuracy of the network is 80% to 90% and the time for the system to detect the object is less than 15sec/frame. Experimental results show that there are reasonable and efficient to combine classic object detection method with a deep learning classification approach. The performance of this method can work in some specific use cases and effectively solving the problem of the inaccurate classification and detection of typical features.

AbstractRecent advances in camera-equipped drone applications increased the demand for visual object detection algorithms with deep learning for aerial images. There are several limitations in accuracy for a single deep learning model. Inspired by ensemble learning can significantly improve the generalization ability of the model in the machine learning field, we introduce a novel integration strategy to combine the inference results of two different methods without non-maximum suppression. In this paper, a global and local ensemble network (GLE-Net) was proposed to increase the quality of predictions by considering the global weights for different models and adjusting the local weights for bounding boxes. Specifically, the global module assigns different weights to models. In the local module, we group the bounding boxes that corresponding to the same object as a cluster. Each cluster generates a final predict box and assigns the highest score in the cluster as the score of the final predict box. Experiments on benchmarks VisDrone2019 show promising performance of GLE-Net compared with the baseline network.

In recent years we have witnessed significant progress in the performance of object detection in images. This advance stems from the use of rich discriminative features produced by deep models and the adoption of new training techniques. Although these techniques have been extensively used in the mainstream deep learning-based models, it is still an open issue to analyze their impact in alternative, and computationally more efficient, ensemble-based approaches. In this paper we evaluate the impact of the adoption of data augmentation, bounding box refinement and multi-scale processing in the context of multi-class Boosting-based object detection. In our experiments we show that use of these training advancements significantly improves the object detection performance.
