Most of the cybercrime are originated from abuse of mobile phones. If there is a possibility to identify the persons who abuse mobile phones, then the task of Cybercrime, Information forensic and Defense department is getting easier. Here the authors proposed a technique to identify the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number, time stamp andgeographical location of the smartphone/mobile. Whenever the mobile camera is used the identity information such as IMEI number, timestamp and geolocation are embedded in the captured image automatically. For that, a mobile application was developed and deployed as a mobile service. By decoding the image, the embedded identity information of that mobile phone is revealed. Using this information it is easy to identify the person/s.

Over the past decade, there have been dramatic increases in the usage of mobile phones in the world. Currently available smart mobile phones are capable of storing enormous amounts of personal information/data. The smart mobile phone is also capable of connecting to other devices, with the help of different applications. Consequently, with these connections comes the requirement of security to protect personal information. Nowadays, in many applications, a biometric fingerprint recognition system has been embedded as a primary security measure. To enable a biometric fingerprint recognition system in smart mobile phones, without any additional costs, a built-in high performance camera can be utilized. The camera can capture the fingerprint image and generate biometric traits that qualify the biometric fingerprint authentication approach. However, the images acquired by a mobile phone are entirely different from the images obtained by dedicated fingerprint sensors. In this paper, we present the current trend in biometric fingerprint authentication techniques using mobile phones and explore some of the future possibilities in this field.

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Considering the deficiency that the existing automobile accident self-rescue system requires to assemble the specific sensor, GPS and communication module, the author designed a vehicle collision or  crash detection and accident self-rescue system based on the smart mobile phone groups. Taking the acceleration signals of physical moments from the smart mobile phones in the accidents car as the input samples and the assembly of acceleration data as the calculating thresholds, the system can not only improve the accuracy rating of the judgments about the accidents, but can also reduce the unusable distress signals due to the damages to individual vehicle-borne device or mobile phone in severe accidents. When the signals exceed the threshold value, the system can draw support from the functions of video, GPS positioning and 3G networking in the mobile phones automatically to call for help from the rescue center. Meanwhile, a prototype system has been implemented on Android platform. The results of the experiments indicate that the system possesses the advantages of high accuracy of collision or crash recognition, low energy consumption and low cost.</span></p>

The access to agricultural information in Sudan continues to be challenging to farmers due to use of inadequate sources and traditional extension approaches. The rapid growth of smart-mobile phones usage in developing countries resulted in several advantages compared to other alternatives in term of costs, geographic coverage and ease of use. This research was conducted in North Kordofan Sate to explore the role of smart-mobile phone in accessing agricultural information. Primary data were obtained by structured questionnaires and focus group discussion through participatory rural appraisal and observation while secondary data were collected from scientific journals, books and authenticated web sources. A number of 230 respondents (10% from total farmers) were interviewed and five focus group discussions were done. Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) version 22 was used to analyze the data with aid of descriptive statistics and Chi-squire Test. The result indicated that most of the respondents fall in age group between 21-40 years, and they depend on farm activity. There was 90% of farmers processed mobile phone since more than three years ago, 90.8%continuedto use smart mobile phone to access agricultural information and showed positive contribution towards income generation. The results also revealed that there was positive perception towards using mobile phones which showed more efficient in use than radio and TVs. The results showed great advantages of using smart mobile phone where 75.2 % of respondents preferred to get agricultural information, logistics and other needs through successful communication in the mid of agricultural season. Results of Chi-squire test showed significant differences between the parameters tested. The study recommended that farmers should be connected with mobile phones to admit ease communication with agricultural extension offices and quick access to their needs and logistics.

The study aimed at assessing the demographic factors influencing adoption of mobile phones in the utilization of formal financial services by smallholder farmers in Kenya. Financial access household survey showed that 80 percent of Kenyan adults own a formal bank account. Whilst significant advances have been made in financial technology products, their penetration and usage among smallholder farmers in utilizing financial services and particularly the demographic factors influencing them remains unestablished. Research into more innovative, intermediated solutions, effective participation and inclusion of appropriate community-based groups in mobile financial services is, therefore, necessary. The target population for this study were smallholder farmers from Nakuru, Busia and Kirinyaga Counties in Kenya.  Simple random sampling and Convenience sampling techniques were used to select 496 smallholder farmers as respondents for the study. Data was collected using copies of a researcher developed questionnaire and data collection sheet. Quantitative data was analysed using multiple linear regression analysis with the aid of SPSS software. The findings revealed that demographic factors were important in predicting mobile phone utilization for formal financial services among smallholder farmers in Kenya. Therefore, the study recommends that mobile phone mobile service providers should collaborate with financial service providers to enable the farmers upgrade their phones to access more financial services platforms.

The growing ubiquity and usability of smart mobile phones can be exploited to develop popular and realistic pervasive computing applications. Adding image processing capabilities to a mobile phone equipped with a built-in camera makes it an easy-to-use device for linking physical objects to a networked computing environment. This chapter describes an extensible and portable programming platform that, using bi-dimensional visual tags, turns mass-market camera-phones into a system able to capture digital information from real objects, use such information to download specific application code, and act as a GUI for interacting with object-dependent computational services. The system includes a module for on-phone extraction of visual coded information and supports the dynamic download of mobile applications.

The study examined the use of mobile phones in improving the livelihoods of rural horticultural crop farmers in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Eighty (80) questionnaires were sampled among horticultural crop farmers who own and use mobile phones and seventy-six (76) questionnaires were retrieved. A multistage sampling technique was used in sampling the respondents. The data collected is analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The results showed that 46.05% are males and 53.95% are females, 26.32% were between 31-40 years, 55.26% were married and 52.63% had at least secondary education. Data further revealed that 52.63% have owned handsets for at least 4-6years and 56.58% obtained the sets from personal savings. Mobile phone usage improved the livelihood in reducing transport cost which was highlighted by 96.05% of the sampled farmers, reduced exploitation/low pricing by middlemen and improved income of producers (84.21%). It also enhanced interaction among rural horticultural crop farmers at different locations (92.11%). Poor network coverage (39.47%), poor power supply (19.74%) and theft/loss of handsets (10.53%) are the major constraints associated with mobile phone usage. The regression analysis showed significant relationship between age, household size, educational status and use of mobile phone (P<0.05) level of significance. Therefore, it is recommended that Federal Government should improve electricity supply to rural farm communities and provides economic incentives, such as tax deductions for imported equipment, for mobile service providers to expand their mobile service coverage in rural/horticultural production areas. Furthermore, the state and local government should improve rural electricity supply to enable rural horticultural crops farmers utilize the full potentials of mobile phones.

To find the best train ticket booking mobile application on the bases of application features. Four widely used mobile phone applications (Ixigo, MakeMyTrip, ClearTrip, and IRCTC) for railway ticket booking are selected and application features related to ease of download and use, rating, number of installs, etc. are compared. A practical attempt is made to book a train ticket using all these applications one by one and comparing features such as coach locator, platform locator, route map, fare break-up, showing seat availability, save and pre-fill passenger details, sort search list by train name/number, sort search list by journey duration, sort search list by class, train running status, etc. 1 point is allotted to the applications if a particular feature is available in the applications and 0 is allotted if the feature is not available. Sum of all the points is calculated separately for each application and then ranks are given from 1 to 4 considering the final score. Ixigo mobile application scores the highest among other three train ticketing mobile applications – MakeMyTrip, ClearTrip, and IRCTC. Features such as downloading applications via a miss call or SMS; downloading application from websites of Ixigo, MakeMyTrip, ClearTrip, and IRCTC; and sorting train search list by class on applications are not found in any of these four applications. Furthermore, features are grouped into groups such as – the features only available in top ranking Ixigo and the features not available in top ranking Ixigo but available in any or all other three applications. This research will be of a good value for mobile railway ticket booking application providers as competition is becoming acute and the booking pattern is shifting from using desktop or laptop to mobile phones and tablets.

Abstract — Pincher is an online platform that is useful for assisting in finding and registering for training classes aimed at facilitating users who want to find their identity and channel their talents and inspirations creatively. This pincher application provides information and distributes training classes by selling class tickets. In its development as an online platform, Pincher still uses the website as a means of distributing training classes owned by Pincher, so this tool is less effective and efficient for users because the Pincher website is too complicated to access using a mobile phone or smartphone. Therefore, to help users access the Pincher application using their mobile phones, Pincher applications are made in a simple form that is applied to mobile applications. In addition, Pincher also does not have a feature that can make it easier for customers to determine the class to be chosen. Therefore this mobile application will be equipped with a system that can make it easier for users to choose attractive classes for customers, namely with a recommendation system.   Keywords— Ticket Selling Application, Flutter, Mobile Application, Recommendation System.

Cloud computing as a new model of information technology, which is emerging as computing concept that promises provision of computational resources on demand and abstraction of technical details from the clients, in the IT sector has attracted more and more attention. Nowadays, with the popularity of smart mobile phones, the increasing functions of smart mobile phone could not meet the requirements of users. To solve this problem, cloud computing is applied in smart mobile phone. Finally, the detail of the current station of the application of cloud computing in smart mobile phone and some introductions of how to develop the application will be introduced.

Background & Objectives: Excessive use of mobile phones has raised a great concern about adverse health effects on human health. The present study’s aim was to investigate the association of the usage of smartphones with cognitive function impairment in the Saudi adult population. Methods: The present cross-sectional study was conducted in the Department of Physiology, College of Medicine, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during September 2019 to January 2020. A total of 251 Saudi adults who were using mobile phones were recruited, and knowledge, attitude and practices were assessed by interview using a predesigned proforma. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA) tool was employed to assess the cognitive functions, comparison was made between daily mobile phone usage group and their correlated Montreal Cognitive Score (MOCA). Results: The mean age for 251 Saudi adult participants was 32.43±12.8 years. More than 80% of the participants used their mobile phone for more than two hours daily. About 61% of the participants were not aware of the side effect of the radiation generated from mobile phone. The participants showed a decrease in MOCA score with increased daily mobile phone usage (MOCA=26.8 for <1 hour daily usage, 26.1 for 1-2 hours, and 24.6 for >2 hours with P< 0.05). In addition, participants showed decreased MOCA score by keeping their mobile phone near their pillow while sleeping; MOCA=24.35 for near pillow groups and >25.5 for the groups that placed their mobile phone away from the pillow. Conclusions: Excessive use of mobile phones can cause cognitive function impairment. Strict policies must be implemented to control the use of smartphones in order to minimize the effects on mobile phone radiation on cognition.
