The goal of sustainable development has to be achieved so as to maintain not only rate of economic growth but also the quality of life in terms the relevant environmental parameters. The realization of the dangers of pollution of all types, across the countries, made the human kind to think of alternatives. Towards this the international orgranisations like UNO have convened a number of Meets, Summits, Conferences, Conventions, Protocol and Accords. A brief analysis of the relevant international conventions was done to bring home the point that achievement of sustainable goals was not an easier task. Then a description of each of the 17 SDGs and the policy initiatives taken by the Government of India were taken up. It was found that among the 28 states of Indian Union, ve states namely Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana took the rst three ranks in the SDG Index (2019).

Cities need continual improvements as they grow, and the government needs to create the means to meet this demand. To assist in sustainable development for communities, ISO 37120 was created to focus on cities, with indicators for urban services and quality of life. This article seeks to understand if Indicators for Sustainable Cities can help Governance make more assertive decisions and improve the residents’ quality of life.

The purpose of this study has been to identify the degree of sustainability in the development of the Province of Warmia and Mazury. The theoretical and empirical investigations were conducted between 2003-2014 based on data from the Local Data Bank. Using a comparative indicator method, 20 indicators were developed, with different directions of preference. The evaluation involves the concept of uniform preference, hence the higher the assessment indicator, the better the situation in the evaluated area unit. Our studies on the sustainable development of the Province of Warmia and Mazury suggest that the indicators measuring the environmental dimension and consequently the quality of life of the residents (in this aspect) score higher than the country's average values. It is also optimistic that some progress, however small, can be seen in this area based on the analyzed dynamics of changes.

IntroductionQuality-adjusted life year (QALY) has been recommended by the government as preferred outcome measure for Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in India. As country-specific health-related quality of life tariff values are essential for accurate measurement of QALYs, the government of India has commissioned the present study. The aim of this paper is to describe the methods for the Development of an EQ-5D Value set for India using an Extended design (DEVINE) Study. Additionally, this study aspires to establish if the design of 10-time trade-off (TTO) blocks is enough to generate valid value sets. Methods and analysisA cross-sectional survey using the EuroQol Group’s Valuation Technology (EQ-VT) will be undertaken in a sample of 2700 respondents selected from six different states of India using a multistage stratified random sampling technique. The participants will be interviewed using computer-assisted personal interviewing technique. The TTO valuation will be done using 10 composite TTO (c-TTO) tasks and 7 discrete choice experiment (DCE) tasks. Hybrid modelling approach using both c-TTO and DCE data to estimate the potential value set will be applied. Values of all 3125 health states will be predicted using both the conventional EQ-VT design of 10 blocks of 10 TTO tasks, and an extended design of 18 blocks of 10 TTO tasks. The potential added value of the eight additional blocks in overall validity will be tested. The study will deliver value set for India and assess the adequacy of existing 10-blocks design to be able to correctly predict the values of all 3125 health states.Ethics and disseminationThe ethical approval has been obtained from Institutional Ethics Committee of PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. The anonymised EQ-5D-5L value set will be available for general use and in the HTAs commissioned by India’s central HTA Agency.

The rapid growth of population and the high development of the developmental, causing the number of areas that switch functions to areas that are not appropriate designation established by the government including green open space (GOS) that serves to support the quality of life of people in a city both in terms of environment and health . The problem of dimensioning this development in relation to government actions determines the objective of analyzing the existence of a correlation between the indicators of governance of the countries calculated by the World Bank (WGI) and the human development index calculated by the United Nations (IDH). To investigate this hypothesis, correlation analyzes were performed between HDI and the six governance dimensions of WGI. The results of the research confirm the existence of a significant positive correlation between the HDI and the WGI, thus establishing the understanding of the complementarity of these indicators and the possibility of their use in the establishment of governmental actions. Keywords: Worldwide governance.
