Abstract Introduction Fecaloma is a large mass of organized hardened feces causing impaction, usually in rectum and sigmoid colon. Medical management usually entails digital evacuation, use of clearance enema, and oral laxatives. We report two patients managed successfully with colonoscopic instillation of Coca-Cola and review the literature. Case Report Patient 1: A 37-year-old male presented with firm, nontender, pitting mass over lower abdomen for 2 months and inability to pass stool for 1 month. Per-rectal examination and imaging confirmed presence of solid stool with gross distension of rectum and sigmoid colon. Attempts at clearance of stool with conventional methods were unsuccessful. At colonoscopy, 4 L of Coca-Cola was instilled into descending and sigmoid colon, leading to evacuation of 10 L of fragmented and liquid stool.Patient 2: A 72-year-old diabetic lady presented with constipation and tender, firm pelvic mass extending till mid-abdomen for 6 months. Per-rectal examination revealed presence of hard stool. Imaging confirmed large amount of fecal matter in dilated rectum, sigmoid, and descending colon. Attempts at evacuating stool with digital evacuation, sodium phosphate enema, and oral polyethylene glycol were unsuccessful. At colonoscopy, two sittings of instillation of 990 mL of Coca-Cola Light each were done into sigmoid colon over 2 days, resulting in clearance. Conclusion Colonoscopic instillation of Coca-Cola may be effective in evacuation of large fecaloma from rectum, sigmoid, and descending colon when refractory to use of conventional methods like digital disimpaction, rectal enema, and oral laxatives.

Neonatal abdominal plain films were prospectively analyzed over a 41-month period in order to generate a differential diagnosis for focal bowel distension during the first 6 weeks of life. A total of 31 examples of locally distended bowel were collected. The study discredits the concept that asymmetrically distended bowel in the newborn is usually caused by necrotizing enterocolitis (only 9/31 cases) and indicates that distended bowel in the lower abdomen or left upper quadrant is often caused by air trapping in normal but redundant rectosigmoid (11 cases) or in distal transverse colon (three cases). Five other pathologic conditions not normally specified in differential diagnoses of focally distended bowel included inguinal hernia (three cases), small bowel atresia (two cases), midgut volvulus (one case), Hirschsprung's disease (one case), and small left colon (one case). The study emphasizes the value of sequential supine and prone filming for distinguishing normal from pathologic dilated loops of bowel.

Fibroepithelial polyps are benign lesions that may appear in the vulvovaginal region. They usually occur in women of reproductive age and tend to grow up to 5 cm, but there are some rare cases in which they grow up to 20 cm. We report a case of a 22-year-old woman in the third trimester of her first pregnancy with spontaneous bleeding from a pedunculated mass measuring 15 cm in the widest diameter on the right side of the vulva. Features of this case are discussed as well as its implications, especially regarding the decision of labour. Due to the big size of the mass and its propensity to bleed, we decided to perform an elective caesarean section as well as its excision.

Dysmenorrhea is the most common gynecological problem among females and it is defined as cramping pain in the lower abdomen occurring just before or during menstruation.Despite the high prevalence, dysmenorrhea is often poorly treated, and even disregarded, by health professionals, pain researchers, and the women themselves, who may accept it as a normal part of the menstrual cycle. This problem occurs because of luxurious life, lack of physical exercise, oily ,spicy and salty constituents of food.Due to laziness, eating and timepass habbits females do not take care of their personal hygiene. This subject is chosen because females are suffered by this problem commonly and it’s enough to disturb the daily work ,in this subject I explained that what diet must be taken in this menstrual phase to avoid other complications.
