<p><em>Komunikasi dari masa ke masa terus mengalami perkembangan, mulai dari penggunaan sinyal asap, drum, penemuan kertas, telegraf, telepon, komputer, email hingga menuju internet sebagai media dalam berkomunikasi. Salah satu yang media komunikasi yang berkembang saat ini adalah poster. Poster dipakai untuk menyampaikan pesan atau informasi kepada masyarakat umumnya dicetak dan ditempatkan di ruang publik atau melalui media yang sekarang familiar yaitu media sosial. Tanda visual yang digunakan designer dalam poster ditujukan kepada masyarakat supaya masyarakat dapat mengerti pesan dan tujuan informasinya. Penggunaan tanda visual poster dari video klip lagu “Lathi” yang mengangkat akan tema toxic relationship sangat menarik untuk ditelusuri, dibedah dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika. Semiotika adalah kajian ilmu mengenai tanda yang ada dalam kehidupan manusia serta makna dibalik tanda tersebut. Tanda visual yang akan diangkat untuk dianalisa dalam tulisan ini adalah sistem tanda dalam bentuk poster dari video klip lagu “Lathi” karya dari Andy Andrians (Art Director dari Lathi). </em></p>

This study aims to describe symbolic form of sign used to describe the emotions of Pasutri Gaje comic characters. Theoretically, this study discusses tropes symbols as additional elements whose existence has a major influence on conveying the emotions of the characters to the readers. This is a descriptive qualitative study. Apply the theory of semiotics proposed by Ferdinand de Saussure about dichotomy signifie dan significant and Pierce about triadic feature of sign.  Datas sourced from picture of online comic Pasutri Gaje season 1 until episode 13 season 3. Datas is collected by observing method with recording and note-taking technique. Data were analysed by extralingual equivalent methods and comparative relational techniques. Data presented used formal and informal method.             There seven kind of emotions symbol called tropes symbol used in comic. There were cross popin for angry sign, sweat drops to clumsy sign, drool to show feeling tempted, chibi to show childish side, dog ear/tail to express innocence in expecting something, blush to express feeling embarrassed, and shadow over face to show extreme anger. Tropes symbols fulfills the element of signification in accordance with the concept proposed by Pierce hence it can convey the emotional situation of character to the readers.

Abstract As the father of modern linguistics, Ferdinand de Saussure influences all aspects of linguistic development with no exception of Cognitive Grammar. A scrutiny of how Saussure is understood in Cognitive Grammar indicates that Saussurean linguistics is misinterpreted in terms of five core ideas: (1) langue, rather than parole, is given highest priority; (2) the internal relation of “signifier-signified” counts as the pairing of “form-meaning”; (3) “arbitrariness” is contradictory to “symbolicity”; (4) “arbitrariness” means “unmotivatedness”; (5) arbitrariness is not the inherent nature of morphological and syntactic structures. This paper is intended to reassess these five ideas and argue that they depart further from Saussure’s thought.

Die taalkundige Ferdinand de Saussure se opvatting oor die ontstaan van betekenis word veral deur die Post-Strukturaliste op die literatuur van toepassing gemaak. Betekenis ontstaan nie op grond van ’n teksinterne struktuur nie, maar op grond van die verhouding wat dié teks met ander tekste aangaan: “De betekenis van de tekst is het resultaat van verschil én overeenkomste met andere teksten”, (Van Boheemen, 1981:122). Die begrip ‘teks’ word in die ruimste sin van die woord opgeneem. Vergelyk Roland Barthes se vyf kodes wat buite die geskrewe teks om ook in die maatskaplike ruimte bestaan. Die buitetekstuele werklikheid is self 'n soort teks wat saamgestei is uit dié vyf kodes, 'n netwerk waardeur ’n literêre teks beweeg en “in passing becomes a text” (Barthes, aangehaal deur Jefferson, 1982:102).

This research purposed to determine the preaching messages of aqeeda and sharia in the movie "Jilbab Traveler Love Spark in Korea". The methode of the research used qualitative approachment of Ferdinand de Saussure semiotic analysis to determine the meanings of every adegans, texts, sounds, dialogues, sounds, videos and symbols in the movie. The results of this research showed that there are preaching messages of tafakkur, istighfar, and dzikr in the movie. The preaching messages in sharia aspects are praying, dresses, fasting, sadaka, sincerity (ikhlas) attitude, obidient to alcohols and porks prohibition. The preaching messages in muamalat aspects are obidient to Islam’s law, discussing polygamy issues and to follow premarital process of Islam before marriage (khitba and taaruf).

Neste estudo propomos uma leitura da edição do Curso de Linguística Geral, cuja publicação, em 1916, é reconhecida como o marco de fundação da Linguística Moderna. Essa leitura que ora propomos será guiada por um objetivo particular: demonstrar como a noção de relação, para além da teoria do valor, considerada por alguns estudiosos carro-chefe da reflexão saussuriana, atua também como um elemento indispensável para a elaboração dos diferentes conceitos propostos por Ferdinand de Saussure, tais como língua, sincronia, diacronia, mutabilidade, imutabilidade, arbitrariedade e linearidade, dentre outros.

Resumo: O presente trabalho objetiva mostrar como, para elaborar uma lógica pautada na não relação e independente de uma ontologia, Jacques Lacan procedeu a uma leitura do Parmênides de Platão. Partimos de duas referências fundamentais ao diálogo platônico no ensino do psicanalista e, com recurso aos textos do linguista Ferdinand de Saussure e de psicanalistas, pensadores e estudiosos do tema, passamos ao operador Há d'Um forjado por Lacan. Serão discutidas a função de nomeação na cadeia borromeana e a não relação sexual. Duas hipóteses do diálogo platônico acerca da unidade do múltiplo serão examinadas a fim de que tanto a relação quanto a não relação entre Ser e Um sejam tratadas em termos de sujeito barrado, significante e gozo.

In this study, the author deals with the analysis of the way in which the problem of the sense of language is set and solved in the phenomenological philosophy of M. Merleau-Ponty. At the beginning of the text, there is a link between the linguistics of Ferdinand de Saussure?s and Merleau-Ponty?s understanding of language. Then the attention is drawn to the understanding of language within the philosophy of existence, the problem of the relation between a mark and the marked, language and a painting, literature and painting. The final considerations are devoted to Merleau-Ponty?s attempt to establish an indirect ontology in the unfinished work The Visible and the Invisible, a new understanding of the relation between flesh and language, the problem of logos, the problem of the relation of the perceptual and linguistic meaning.
