Two new genera and three new species of Microveliinae are described from India: Thirumalaia ocularis gen. nov. & sp. nov. from Tamil Nadu, Eyarinella robusta gen. nov. & sp. nov. from Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and Geovelia fikaceki sp. nov. from Arunachal Pradesh. A male-based key to the genera of Microveliinae of India and a checklist of Indian species are provided. Neoalardus typicus (Distant, 1903) is recorded for the first time from Rajasthan.

Genera and species of the tribe Coelidiini from the Indian subcontinent are reviewed. Glaberana Nielson, Webbolidia Nielson and Zhangolidia Nielson are recorded from India for the first time. Twenty-three new species are described and illustrated as follows: Calodia deergha sp. nov. (India: Tamil Nadu), C. keralica sp. nov. (India: Kerala), C. kumari sp. nov. Abstract Adult males of three new species, Dasyhelea (Prokempia) barbistyla, Dasyhelea (Pseudoculicoides) pseudohama and D. (Sebessia) scalpra are described from India. The Palaearctic species Dasyhelea (Dasyhelea) pallidiventrisis recorded for the first time from India. Dasyhelea (Ps.) deemingi BOORMAN & HARTEN, 2002 is revised, Dasyhelea (Ps.) acuta BRAHMA, SAHA & HAZRA, 2016 is deemed a junior synonym of Dasyhelea similinigrina NAVAI, 1994, and a key to the Indian species of the subgenera Dasyhelea, Prokempia, Pseudoculicoides and Sebessia is provided.

The genus Dolophilodes Ulmer (Trichoptera: Philopotamidae) is reviewed from India, with the description of 3 new species: D. malickyi sp. nov. and D. punjpullaensis sp. nov. from Punjpulla (Himachal Pradesh) and D. morsei sp. nov. from Lumla (Arunachal Pradesh). Dolophilodes ornatula Kimmins is reported for the first time from India. This species, D. tibetana Kimmins and D. indica Martynov are redescribed with additional collection records. A key to males of the known Indian species of this genus is provided.

Three new species of biting midges belonging to the genus Dasyhelea Kieffer are described as a result of the extensive entomological surveys in the Deltaic Proper of Gangetic West Bengal, India. Adult and pupal stages of Dasyhelea (Dasyhelea) multiforamina sp. nov. and D. (Sebessia) bulbosa sp. nov., and all the life stages of D. (Pseudoculicoides) aprojecta sp. nov. are described. Dasyhelea (Prokempia) flaviformis Carter, Ingram and Macfie is also recorded first time from the Oriental region as only adult stage. They are described, illustrated and photomicrographed. A short note on bionomics of the four species is provided. The subgeneric placement of seven species previously described from India and keys to the Indian species of Dasyhelea based on male and female are also furnished. Key words: Dasyhelea, new species, new record, immature, Sebessia, Prokempia, Pseudoculicoides, Key, Oriental Region

Abstract: Omyomymar hayati sp. nov. (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Mymaridae) is described from Tamil Nadu, India and key to Oriental species of Omyomymar is updated.  Palaeoneura markhoddlei Triapitsyn, is reported from Indian subcontinent for the first time and key to Indian species is updated.  The following known species, viz., Acmopolynema incognitum (Narayanan, Rao & Kaur), Platystethynium glabrum Jin & Li, Polynema (Polynema) bengalense Rehmat & Anis and Palaeoneura vegis Amer & Zeya are recorded from the Indian states of Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, respectively.

AbstractAn illustrated key to the genera of Braconinae from America north of Mexico is provided. Lapicida aquatica Quicke gen.nov. and sp.nov. from Ontario and Iowa, and Compsobraconoides robustus Quicke gen.nov. and sp.nov. from Texas, Florida, and Mexico are described and illustrated. Bracon albispina Cameron is transferred to Compsobraconoides and a key is provided to enable its separation from Compsobraconoides rufus Quicke sp.nov. Chartobracon van Achterberg is recorded from the New World for the first time and a new species, C. canadensis Quicke sp.nov. from Canada, is described, illustrated, and distinguished from C. huggerti van Achterberg from Europe. Seliodus Brèthes is synonymized with Bracon Fabricius on the authority of C. van Achterberg. Relationships of the new genera are briefly discussed and notes are provided on all of the Nearctic genera.

AbstractSome 35 species (mostly Neotropical, 22 new) of acalypterate flies representing 17 genera (3 new) in six families, as follows, are treated: Family Cypselosomatidae. One species from Nepal, Cypselosoma gephyrae Hendel (?), is discussed.Family Pseudopomyzidae. The classification of the family is reviewed, and a key to the world genera is provided. The genus Latheticomyia Wheeler is placed here for the first time, and two new species, L. longiterebra (Peru) and L. rotundicornis (Mexico), are described. Two new genera, Pseudopomyzella and Rhinopomyzella, are erected for three new species, P. flava (Peru), R. albimana (Brazil), and R. nigrimana (Brazil).Family Periscelidae. The genus Periscelis Loew is recorded from Mexico and Peru. Neoscutops peruvianus and Scutops striatus, both from Peru, are described as new.Family Aulacigastridae. The classification of the family is reviewed and a key to the world genera is provided. One new species of Cephodapedon Malloch, C. nigriventer (Chile), is described. The genera Mayomyia Malloch and Cinderella Steyskal are reviewed and placed in this family for the first time. Four species of Cinderella, C. macalpinei (Ecuador), C. pollinosa (Chile), C. hirsuta (Chile), and C. steyskali are described as new.The paper is accompanied by 72 illustrations.

A contribution to the knowledge of Indian and Sri Lankan Chrysididae is given. The following six species are described: Chrysis decorosasp. nov. from Rajasthan (Ch. maindroni group); Ch. glauca sp. nov. from Karnataka (Ch. succincta group); Ch. zdenula sp. nov. from Tamil Nadu (Ch. succincta group); Ch. kartikeya sp. nov. from Tamil Nadu (Ch. decemdentata group); Ch. unidentata sp. nov. from Tamil Nadu (Ch. unidentata group); Hedychridium zeylanicum sp. nov. from Sri Lanka (H. roseum group). The Chrysis unidentata group is established here; the Ch. maindroni, Ch. pulchella and Hedy­chridium roseum groups are recorded for the first time for the Oriental Region. The genus Isegama Krombein, 1983 and eight species are recorded for the first time from India: subfamily Amiseginae: Isegama aridula (Krom­bein, 1980); subfamily Chrysidinae, tribe Elampini: Hedychridium mysticum Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, 1912, Hedychrum striatum Mocsáry, 1911, Holophris marginella (Mocsáry, 1890), Omalus aeneus (Fabricius, 1787); tribe Chrysidini: Chrysis goetheana Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, 1967, Praestochrysis spinula Bohart, 1988, and Primeuchroeusmalayensis (Linsenmaier, 1982). ­Chrysis goetheana is transferred to the Ch. pulchella group. New distributional data for other six Indian species are provided.

Key Characters

The tribe Shirozuellini (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) is represented by only four species in the Indian Subcontinent. The two species found in mainland India, Promecopharus andrewesi Sicard and Ghanius karachiensis Ahmad, are briefly reviewed: the species are diagnosed, key characters illustrated, and information provided on their distribution and hosts. The genus Sasajiella Miyatake (Coccinellidae: Shirozuellini), is reported for the first time from mainland India and a new species, Sasajiella boothi sp. n., collected from the state of Tamil Nadu, is described and illustrated. The male genitalia and larva of Sasajiella are illustrated for the first time. This is one of only five species in the tribe Shirozuellini known from the Indian subcontinent.

The genus Hydropsyche is reviewed from India. Three new species are described and illustrated belonging to genus Hydropsyche. The newly described species are Hydropsyche curvata sp. nov., H. hajinensis sp. nov., both from Jammu & Kashmir, and H. golitarensis sp. nov. from Sikkim. Hydropsyche quadrata Malicky & Chantaramongkol 2000 (from Sikkim), H. augeias Malicky & Chantaramongkol 2000 (from Uttarakhand) and H. camillus Malicky & Chantaramongkol 2000 (from Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh) are reported for the first time from India. Hydropsyche athamas Malicky & Chantaramongkol 2000, H. homunculus Schmid 1965, and H. harpagofalcata Mey 1995 are also redescribed and reported for the first time from India. Hydropsyche nuristanica Schmid 1963 (from Jammu and Kashmir) and H. rakshakaha Oláh 1994 (from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal) are reported from these states for the first time. Hydropsyche charon Malicky & Chantaramongkol 2000, from Uttarakhand, H. appendicularis Martynov 1931, and H. pallipenne Banks 1938 are also redescribed and reported from Himachal Pradesh. Hydropsyche claviformis Mey 1996 is also redescribed based on a specimen from Sikkim. Furthermore, the male is redescribed and a neotype is designated for Hydropsyche asiatica Ulmer 1905. Hydropsyche chotanagpurensis is a nomen novum, replacing junior homonym Hydropsyche ulmeri (Martynov 1935). With these additions, the total number of Indian species for genus Hydropsyche is now 54. A catalogue of known Indian species is also given.
