Based on a partial reanalysis of a corpus of data from Halkomelem (Salish) analyzed from the perspective of classical Relational Grammar in a series of works by Donna Gerdts, I argue for a relational theory with both revaluations of syntactic relations and alternative initial alignments of semantic relations with syntactic relations. First, I look at four kinds of constructions for which Gerdts appeals to revaluation analyses: passive, causative, antipassive, and applicative. I argue that a subset of these - namely the latter three - are better analyzed otherwise. Based on these results, I examine certain grammatical phenomena which might have been understood in terms of initial syntactic relations, if multistratal analyses of the constructions in question were available. Since they are not, however, it is necessary to formulate the relevant conditions in terms of semantic relations.

A procedure for teaching specific linguistic structures to language-handicapped children is presented. The procedure makes use of a problem-solving set to emphasize the structural relationships of modeled utterances. Although the procedure can be employed in teaching a variety of linguistic structures, a developmental response hierarchy is proposed, emphasizing both semantic and syntactic relations. Suggestions are made for using stimuli to portray a number of semantic relations, including stimuli related to action.

This article is the continuation of analysis and discussion from the book by Professor AI Nevorotin "Matrix phraseological collection: a manual for writing a scientific article in English". The Matrix phraseological collection is a kind of catalog of text samples. The samples were from articles selected from the leading English-language scientific journals and were systematized in such away that when writing an article in English, a Russian researchers are able easy to find examples suitable for his/her own work. Furthermore, the selected samples can be transformed accordingly saving the semantic and syntactic relations between the elements and, finally, be inserted into the text. The second part of this work is devoted to the detailed analysis of the English scientific literature and also the section "Legality of the provisions of the problem".

The main advantage of modern natural language processing methods is a possibility to turn an amorphous human-readable task into a strict mathematic form. That allows to extract chemical data and insights from articles and to find new semantic relations. We propose a universal engine for processing chemical and biological texts. We successfully tested it on various use-cases and applied to a case of searching a therapeutic agent for a COVID-19 disease by analyzing PubMed archive.

The article summarizes the key points in the development of the metadialogue phenomenon from a linguistic point of view. Some stages of the development of this concept and the difficulties associated with its structuring are covered. The main research findings of modern foreign and domestic experts on its study are considered. Some characteristics of the subject of the research from the standpoint of various pragmatic installations are given. On the basis of the dynamic structure of the metadialogue development, certain principles of semantic relations connected with the dialectical nature of human cognition are presented. Excursion into the history and evolution of the concept is presented. Several types of formulation of the subject matter are given. In accordance with the goal of speech exposure, internal problems of the development of metadialogue are highlighted and the critical points related to solving these problems are described. The rules of metadialogue flow are explained at the level of steps, the success/failure of which directly affects the final result of communication. The prospects of development of the concept research in accordance with various types of discourse are indicated.
