Immediate Dentin Sealing or pre-hybridization implies the application of resin adhesive to freshly cut dentin after teeth preparation, before impression. Immediate Dentin Sealing has been suggested as an alternative to the delayed dentin sealing (DDS), a technique in which resin adhesive is applied just before final bonding of indirect restorations. Immediate Dentin Sealing technique is universal i.e used in inlays, onlays, veneers, crowns and well documented clinically and experimentally. Various types of Dentin Bonding Agents are available on the market. Difference lies in the thickness of hybrid layer formed and the adhesive used.

Management of traumatic injuries to the teeth is a challenge to the practicing dentist. It has no prescriptive method for occurring, possesses no significant predictable pattern of intensity or extensiveness and occurring at times when dentists are least prepared for it. Ninety-two percent of traumatic injuries results in fracture of maxillary permanent central incisors because of its protrusive and anterior positioning. The young permanent maxillary central incisor root canal chamber is large and tapered. This case report describes the management of Ellis Class III fractured tooth in a young permanent maxillary central incisor by an innovative clinical procedure. Abstract Cryolipolysis is a noninvasive clinical procedure for the local reduction of adipose tissue. Paddles as cold as ~10 °C are placed in good thermal contact the epidermis. The goal is to cool the subcutaneous adipose tissue to ~10 °C, which induces apoptosis and an inflammatory response in the adipocytes. The dermis is, of course, cooler than the adipocytes, but the triglyceride in the adipocytes are thought to crystalize, causing apoptosis. The clinical procedure have been developed empirically. A mathematical model could aid in understanding the mechanisms of response and improving the design of the procedure. Here, the Pennes equation is used to model the temperature of the tissue during cooling. The two parameters identified are the thermal diffusivity of the tissue and a blood perfusion parameter, which also gives the characteristic length. Green's functions are used to solve the Pennes equation, which simplifies to a transient fin equation.

Orthodontic anchorage is a necessity for every treatment and must be carefully evaluated by the orthodontist. It is defined as the resistance to unwanted dental movement of a tooth or a number of teeth by using different techniques. The purpose of the present paper is to highlight the subperiosteal anchorage applied to orthodontics; this technique has been debated in the literature and the purpose here is to summarize the fields of application. During the first check of previous literature 548 results were found, which have been reduced to 19 selected papers after application of the inclusion criteria and the elimination of duplicates. Multiple electronic databases were searched from 1 January 1995 to 31 December 2020 in order to identify papers eligible for current review. The data obtained by this review underlined the versatility of onplants used as absolute anchorage during orthodontic treatments, the advantages and disadvantages, the biomechanical properties and survival rates, and the clinical procedure. Further clinical studies and research are required to explore other kinds of application and to state specific guidelines; however, this study represents an update and a starting point for clinicians who want to use these devices and for further improvement of the technique.

The aim of the present paper is to prove the difficult of diagnosis and the variations in clinical procedure from Bite Wing x-rays as well as to analyze the relation teaching - leaving based on such x-rays. To reach the objective of the research we counted on the participation os students from the 6th and 8th semesters of F.O. UFRGS who made the diagnosis and conducted the clinical procedures based on the 4 Bite Wing x-rays. These had been previosly analysed by the professors of the course on Radiology, the results of which were taken as a pattern. The research sought to identify the existance of homogeneity or the lack of it, in the formulation of diagnosis and of clinical procedures, using as criteria the variables of sex and level of education.

Blood pressure(BP) measurement is a basic clinical procedure and perhaps the most frequently performed clinical procedure in any health care setting, it strongly depends both on the number of measurements and the body position during the procedure. Many important therapeutic decisions rely on the accuracy of assessment ,Unfortunately , blood pressure measurement is one of the most inaccurately performed procedure done by healthcare provider. Inspire of studies having shown that many errors are made while recording BP, crucial decisions about treatment are made based on these inaccurate measurements. Efforts have continuously been made to standardize the procedure, but remain difficult to reach a consensus among different official guidelines for BP measurementA comparative study on the effect of cross legged sitting with flat feet sitting position on blood pressure reading among normotensive young adults in selected college, Guwahati, Assam. Army Institute of Nursing ,C/O- 151 Base Hospital, Basistha, Guwahati, Assam. Descriptive comparative design.A descriptive comparative design was adopted for the study ,sixty normotensive young adults were selected using purposive sampling technique from the selected college of Guwahati, Assam. The data was collected by a questionnaire and blood pressure measurements were documented.Automated sphygmomanometer (OMRON HEM -8712 ,SERIAL NO 20190604417VG). The measurement was taken 5 minutes elapse before the first reading and then one minute gap between next three readings in flat feet and cross legs at knee level. The data were analysed using percentage, frequency, mean, SD Statistical significance was set at p<.05.The data were coded and organized in a master sheet and were analyzed by using the SPSS Version 24. Total of sixty normotensive young adults were included in the BP measurements taken from flat feet sitting position and cross-legged sitting position and results indicates systolic blood pressure increases significantly (p<.05)with the cross-legged sitting position.Cross legged sitting position can affect systolic blood pressure reading significantly among normotensive young adults.

Abstract Purpose of Review The aim of this case report was to illustrate the clinical procedure integrating augmented reality (AR) for complex patient cases requiring full mouth rehabilitation. Recent Findings The introduction of AR technology to the fields of medicine and dentistry has led to numerous applications in education, surgery, and esthetics. Recently, a new AR software was introduced in esthetic dentistry which allows for real-time smile projection and thus improves communication with patients and the dental laboratory. Summary The presented case shows a patient with multiple missing teeth, diastemata, and an impaired masticatory and phonetic ability. After reconstruction of the posterior zone, the AR software was used for the conception of the esthetic zone, integrating the patient into the decision-making process. The result was an esthetic rehabilitation applying palatal and buccal veneers which corresponded to the chosen AR design. The patient appreciated the opportunity to pre-visualize a possible final outcome in an interactive way which increased his confidence in the chosen treatment. Further studies are needed to assess the precision and reproducibility of the described protocol.

AbstractAlveolar Bone Grafting is a clinical procedure which is performed to maintain the integrity of the alveolar arch in cleft patients. This clinical procedure helps in facilitating eruption of canine and lateral incisors. This chapter discusses the normal anatomy of alveolus, significance of cleft alveolus, surgical steps to ensure separation of a well-defined oral and nasal layer, donor sites for bone grafting, harvesting techniques and final closure of the alveolar cleft. In addition, this chapter further highlights the recent developments in the field of bone regeneration.
