After the COVID-19 pandemic, hand hygiene has become more important to prevent and reduce infection. To manage and provide water to ensure safe handwashing, water governance and the role of public servants are also getting critical. Many organizations have given their priority to capacity building of public servants. In the Strategic Plan for the ninth phase of the Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (2022-2029), ‘Water education in the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ is included as a priority. In Korea, ODA in the field of water and sanitation is emphasized in Korea’s 3rd Mid-term Strategy for Development Cooperation (2021-2025). Also, KOICA and various water-related organizations have been organizing water education programs for developing countries. This study presents the direction for water education for public servants in developing countries in the post COVID-19 through the education program cases of the International Centre for Water Security and Sustainable Management established by the agreement between the Korean government and UNESCO in 2017. The study suggests that water-related organizations should cooperate with each other to prevent duplication of water education contents. It also suggests that blended learning should be actively utilized for the improvement of education program effectiveness. Lastly, the study emphasizes that education demand for the water technologies related to the fourth industrial revolution and smart water management is increasing, which should be considered when water-related organizations create online content or design education programs.

Engineering is crucial for economic development in developed and developing countries. With various changes taking place globally over the years, it has had influence on all aspect of human endeavor and we are now at a time of pervasive breakout of technologies known as the fourth industrial revolution. This study therefore conceptualizes excellence VS relevance in engineering education in the era of the fourth industrial revolution by first demystifying what the fourth industrial revolution is and then conceptualizing excellence and relevance in engineering education. Findings from the study revealed that Findings from the study revealed that the world is at a stage of massive changes and this requires solutions to these numerous changes. It was also found out that excellence and relevance are not new as it is a common term used across various spheres of human life especially within the university where excellence in research and learning is emphasized. The study recommended that STEM education should be encouraged across board so as to develop the skills necessary in the fourth industrial age and also effort should be made at intensifying action on adopting some of the technologies that are emerging in the fourth industrial revolution especially in the developing countries.

The purpose of the study is to identify the challenges, prospects and ways for the development of the manufacturing industry in Vietnam in the context of Industry 4.0, after COVID-19. The article examines the development of the manufacturing industry in the context of Industry 4.0. The research methodology includes comparative analysis, elements of positive and normative analysis. The study is based on statistical information available within the period of writing the article (till October 1, 2020). The data of Vietnamese and international research organizations and statistics bodies, in particular, the websites of World Bank and General Statistics Office of were used. The leading role of the manufacturing industry in achieving sustainable economic development in developing countries, including Vietnam, was determined. Based on an assessment of the levels of development of the manufacturing industry in Vietnam from 2011 to 2019 and the state of production of the main manufacturing industries under the influence of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, urgent problems of the development of the manufacturing industry in the context of Industry 4.0 in Vietnam were identified. The coronavirus pandemic, on the one hand, is seen as the reason for the slowdown in production growth in the manufacturing industry, and on the other hand, as a condition for accelerating digital transformation in industrial manufacturing enterprises. The article identifies the main challenges and prospects for the development of the manufacturing industry in Vietnam in the fourth industrial revolution. The human resource challenge for the development of manufacturing in the context of the fourth industrial revolution was identified in some specific industries such as textiles, food processing, machinery and equipment manufacturing by analyzing the Report of 2019 about Industry 4.0 Readiness of Vietnam’s industrial enterprises. The main priority areas for improving the production of the manufacturing industry in Vietnam to achieve sustainable industrial development are presented. The results of the work can be used in the development of policies for the development of the manufacturing industry not only in Vietnam, but also in other developing countries

DIY (Do-it-yourself) for home decor is an activity of decorating or repairing the house or making things for home independently rather than paying someone else to do it. DIY gains its popularity nowadays, particularly on the internet. The phenomena of DIY probably will make interior designer lost their job because DIY seems can give a straightforward solution for people by self-study. The present study aimed to reveal what is really going on in the field of interior design today.  The researcher would like to analyze the difference between an interior designer job and DIY content sharing. The researcher collected the data from some popular DIY accounts (DIY; all things thrifty; and the house lars built), some practitioner‘s responses, and interview with the lecturer of the interior design department.  The researcher attempted to answer the question usingphenomenological approach consisting of four steps namely epoche, reduction, variation of imagination, and synthesis of meaning and essence. This phenomenon arises since we begin to enter the fourth industrial revolution where internet handles everything and provides accessibility. One of the positive impacts of this phenomena is that people gain more understanding related to interior design. In other words, this phenomenon makes everybody can be a designer through DIY.

Abstrak Pendidikan desain industri memerlukan tahapan-tahapan sesuai pada zamannya. Pembelajaran yang dibutuhkan harus sesuai tuntutan zaman yakni kemajuan teknologi yang berfungsi memudahkan dalam aspek penggunaan dan pembuatan dalam bidang desain industri. Desain industri memiliki tahapan dasar, yaitu ide, konsep, gambar sketsa, proyeksi tiga dimensi, pemodelan skala dan mockup atau prototipe. Dalam tiap tahapan tersebut, perkembangan yang mempunyai pengaruh besar adalah tahapan proyeksi tiga dimensi. Proyeksi tiga dimensi tidak hanya sekedar membuat model dan menciptakan hasil render, tapi sudah pada kepada hasil nyatanya yaitu masuk ke ranah 3D mockup/3D prototipe melalui 3D Printer yang disebut sebagai 3D Printing. Pentingnya pendidikan seperti Universitas, Sekolah Tinggi, Akademi maupun tempat-tempat kursus yang memiliki mata pembelajaran ini, wajib menyertakan pendidikan 3D Printing ke dalam mata pembelajaran/mata kuliah 3D Modelling (CAD/CAID). Memasuki era Revolusi Industri Keempat tentu memerlukan beberapa update pada masing-masing mata pembelajaran pada pendidikan desain industri, hal ini karena berkaitan dengan unsur teknologi dalam dunia desain industri yaitu mesin Printer 3D. Saat ini, sangat dibutuhkan lapangan pekerjaan yang membutuhkan operator mesin 3D Printer yang muncul dari lulusan-lulusan desain produk/desain industri. Operator yang dimaksud adalah lulusan yang menguasai software 3D Modelling. Lulusan tersebut harus dibubuhi ilmu dalam pengoperasian mesin 3D Printer yang berkaitan erat dengan CAD/CAID dalam diploma maupun Strata Satu. Sehingga dapat menciptakan lulusan yang berkompeten dan menjadi pekerja yang sangat dibutuhkan di perusahaan yang mengaplikasikan teknologi-teknologi Revolusi Industri Keempat. Kata kunci : 3D Modelling, 3D Printing, Desain Industri, Desain 3D   Abstract Industrial design education requires stages according the timeline of the era. The learning needed must be in accordance with the demands of the era, ie technological advancements that function to facilitate aspects of the use and manufacture in the field of industrial design. Industrial design has basic stages, ie ideas, concepts, sketch drawings, three dimensional projections, scale modeling and mockups or prototypes. In each of these stages, developments that have a large influence are the stages of three dimensional projection. The 3-dimensional projection is not just making a model and creating a rendering result, but it has turned to the real results of entering the 3D mockup / 3D prototype through 3D Printer which is called 3D Printing. The importance of education such as Universities, Colleges, Academies and course places that have this subject of study, must include 3D Printing education into the subject of learning / 3D Modeling (CAD / CAID) courses. Entering the fourth industrial revolution era certainly requires some updates on each subject of learning in industrial design education, this is because it is related to technological elements in the world of industrial design ie 3D Printing machine. At present, jobs are urgently needed that require 3D Printer machine operators to emerge from graduates of product design / industrial design. Approved operators are those who understand 3D Modeling software. These graduates must be knowledgeable in the operation of 3D Printer machines that are closely related to CAD / CAID in diploma or bachelor degree. So that it can create competent graduates who are needed workers in companies that apply fourth industrial revolution technologies. The emergence of the 4IR has brought new opportunities and possibilities for effective management of research data. Despite the positive impacts and effectiveness of this technological advancement, most academic libraries especially in Africa are not taking advantage of this reality. As a result of this, many libraries in the developing countries are struggling to satisfy the present and future information needs of researchers. Building on the 4IR, sustainable RDM practices in academic libraries become necessary and urgent. The observation led to the decision to address issues related to RDM practices and the 4IR. The authors present the conceptual considerations of RDM, the roles of academic libraries in RDM, and the 4IR technologies as well as strategic actions for academic libraries towards the 4IR. The authors conclude by affirming that the adoption of 4IR will not only connect librarians with machines for “smart” performance, but will expand the scope, visibility, and access to research data, among others.

Poor management practices of road transport assets posed a challenge to the sustainable development of the transport system in developing countries like Nigeria. Studies in the past focused mainly on the performance of road construction process. However, few studies have evaluated the effect of the fourth Industrial Revolution (4.0IR) on the road transport assets in developing countries such as Nigeria. The current study aimed at assessing the effect of the 4.0IR towards improving the management practice of road transport assets. Survey instruments were administered to project and facility managers in the Nigerian road construction sector of the economy using a proportionate random sampling technique. Partial least square structural equation modelling was used for data analysis utilising the Warp 7.0 partial least squares-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) software algorithm. The software calculates p-values with WarpPLS based on non-parametric algorithms, resampling or stable algorithms and thus does not require that the variables to be normally distributed. The study concluded that the 4.0IR drivers have a moderate effect change on the management practice of road transport assets in Nigeria at the moment. The findings imply that management of road assets in Nigeria would moderately improve due to the 4.0IR technologies resulting in transport, safety and general efficiency and effectiveness of road networks in Nigeria. The study identified the 4.0IR drivers to include robotics, mobility, virtual and augmented reality, Internet of things and cloud computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, three-dimensional (3D) printing drones that are built with an attached 3D printer (the drone hangs a 3D printing nozzle that has fed plastic, concrete mix or other material from a tube connected to the top of the drone's printing path that precisely plotted by software, for a promised printing accuracy of 0.1 mm) and digital engineering. This study emanated from the government reports and past studies in the area of road transport asset management practice which the study investigated the major causes of poor practices and assessed the effect of the 4.0IR on the practice.
