<span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; mso-fareast-font-family: SimSun; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;" lang="EN-US">In the present work, the author reports examples of his involvement in different teaching/learning methodologies during his five years of the Integrated Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto. The aim is to explain how useful those experiences have been, allowing him to explore many techno-scientific activities within his engineering education while student as well as other <span style="letter-spacing: -.05pt;">transferable</span> skills and later, up to the present, as a professional in academic environment. The author wishes to underline the excellent opportunity he had to practice reflection processes as an essential methodology of his engineering education.</span>

In China, there is a strong demand for reforming higher engineering education both from industry and tertiary education perspective. School of Mechanical Engineering (ME), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is ongoing developing design-driven curricula to enhance engineering education through project-based teaching, learning and assessment. More than 3000 students have completed over 600 projects in various courses since 2014. Of these projects, solving open-end problem accounts for about 25%, developing simple products about 25%, focusing on creative mechanism about 25%, and industry sponsored projects about 25%. Evaluation from industry at project showcase and students’ self-assessment showed the positive effects of the undergoing reform of undergraduate courses conducted by ME, SJTU on the enhancement of engineering education.

A new pedagogical approach called engineering education through degree-long project has been implemented in the mechanical engineering program at the University of Cincinnati as a part of the NSF CCLI project. The approach integrates selected courses across the undergraduate curriculum of the mechanical engineering program using a degree-long project (DLP) as the theme. Design of Formula SAE® race car was employed as the first DLP. In each course in the sequence, the concept of the DLP approach and the role of the assignment in the course in the overall DLP are explained to students. In early-year courses, assignments are simple problems designed to show how abstract concepts are eventually applied to engineering tasks. In later-year courses, more involved design projects are used aiming at nurturing the ability to solve open-ended engineering problems. In conducting the approach, the most difficult part was developing an interesting and challenging problem which is relevant to practical applications, especially in early year courses. Findings through student evaluations and a stake-holders workshop on the improvement of the approach are discussed.

This paper discusses the possibilities of student-centered and project-based learning in science, health and population subjects of community high school students in Nepal. Besides, it deals with how high school students meaningfully engaged in participatory activities and consequently acknowledge the necessity for creative and active teaching learning activities. Despite various contextual realities and identities, the study explored few contextually appropriate project methods to transform teaching learning activities in science, health and population subjects in the community high schools. The qualitative method was applied in this research. Data/information was collected from classroom observation, in-depth interviews and informal conversations. The data from all the sources were analyzed by content-thematic and conversation analysis keeping in minds to explore the possibilities of project work of learning. The study found that students&rsquo; engagement in project activities as a part of study science, health and population subjects are positive and targeted towards learning competencies. Nevertheless, to apply this method, school head teachers, teachers and local authority related to education need to play vital roles for the effective implementation of project works in the community high schools in Nepal.

<p class="Abstract">The aim of foreign language teaching is to enable learners to use the&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 1rem;">language they have learned to communicate and interact in their lives.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">This is why teaching/learning no longer gives priority to structure but&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">rather to communication and interaction. It is by communicating that&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">they learn the structure. The foreign language class is a place where&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">learners use the language learned. Therefore, it is necessary for the&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">teacher to create interesting activities that can encourage learners to&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">use the language to communicate. Teaching French as a foreign&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">language from the first semester to the seventh semester in the French&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">Department, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, we use the Alterego+ manual.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">It replaced Alterego that we had used for over 5 years. After having&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">studied it for 7 semesters, we hope that students can present&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">themselves at DELF B2. As it provides language course level B1, it only&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">want to talk about thepractice class with Alterego+ 3 that has been&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">done for 2 semesters. Alterego+ 3 is published by Hachette, Français Langue Etrangère and targets&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">learners who have acquired the level A2. It aims to acquire skills described in level B1 of the Common&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">European Framework of Reference for Languages (CECRL), within a 150-hour course of&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">teaching/learning activities. This allows learners to present themselves at DELF level B1. However in our&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">department the B1 language courses are only lasted about 106 hours. How can one teach the limited&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">duration B1 level?</span></p>

This study aims to see the implementation of project based learning methods (PBL) implemented by lecturers in the Science, Technology and Engineering P&P processes in Islam as an effort to enhance students' understanding in the Fiqh Method. Respondents in this study were students of second semester, Diploma of Mechanical Engineering program, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politeknik Banting. Observation and interview methods are used for data collection purposes. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented in narrative form. The findings show that PBL activity is a fun and enjoyable P&P activity for students. Abstrak Kajian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  melihat  perlaksanaan  kaedah  pembelajaran  berasaskan  projek  (PBL)  yang dilaksanakan  oleh  pensyarah  dalam  proses  P&P Sains,  Teknologi  dan  kejuruteraan  dalam  Islam  sebagai usaha  meningkatkan  kefahaman  pelajar  pelajar  dalam  tajuk  Kaedah Fiqh.  Responden  dalam  kajian  ini adalah   terdiri   daripada   pelajar   semester   dua   progran   Diploma   Kejuruteraan   Mekanikal,   Jabatan Kejuruteraan  Mekanikal,  Politeknik  Banting.  Kaedah  pemerhatian  dan  temu  bual  digunakan  bagi  tujuan pengutipan data. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dipersembahkan dalam bentuk naratif. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan aktiviti PBL merupakan aktiviti P&P yang disukai dan menyeronokkan bagi para pelajar.

this article describe about curriculum administration. administration originates from the Latin language, which consists of the words ad and ministrare which means to help, serve or direct. The word administration can be interpreted as any joint effort to assist, serve and direct all activities, in achieving a goal. The curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the content and learning materials as well as the methods used to guide the implementation of learning activities to achieve certain educational goals (Law No.20 th 2003 on the National Education System). A curriculum is a plan prepared to expedite the teaching-learning process under the guidance and responsibilities of schools or educational institutions and their teaching staff.
