<span lang="EN-US">The national digital identity platform is a robust scheme that enables individuals and entities to prove who they are to digitally access critical information or services. However, </span><span lang="EN-US">c</span><span lang="EN-US">urrent digital identity systems do not sufficiently consider delegation between entities from the viewpoint of dynamic authorizers and permissions. This study aims to understand the pain points and expectations of end-users and service providers in the Thai national digital identity platform, to design </span><span lang="EN-US">a dynamic delegation model </span><span lang="EN-US">and develop an innovative delegation application to test user acceptance. The research utilizes semi-structured interviews with 3 digital identity experts, two focus groups, one with 6 service providers, and the other one with 6 end-users. Based on results from the data analysis and conceptual prototype design, validated by experts, the proposed prototype is practical and suitable for developing a digital </span><span lang="EN-US">delegation </span><span lang="EN-US">mobile web application that is convenient, safe, secure, and reliable utilizing blockchain technology under the Thai national digital identity platform. </span><span lang="EN-US">The technology acceptance model</span><span lang="EN-US"> was used to test the application acceptance </span><span lang="EN-US">with </span><span lang="EN-US">42 participants</span><span lang="EN-US">. </span><span lang="EN-US">The result reveals that both person and businesses intend to adopt the digital delegation mobile web application.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">Use cases of the application include users give their power to trusted entities and Government Agency to provide services to the citizens via the authorized delegatee.</span>

Blockchain technology has been applied to logistics tracking, but it is not cost-effective. The development of smart lockers has solved the problem of repeated distribution to improve logistics efficiency, thereby becoming a solution with convenience and privacy compared to the in-store purchase and pickup alternative. This study prioritized the key factors of smart lockers using a simulated annealing–genetic algorithm by fractional factorial design (FFD-SAGA) and grey relational analysis, and investigated the main users of smart lockers by grey multiple attribute decision analysis. The results show that the Web application programming interface (API) concatenation and money flow provider are the key success factors of smart lockers, and office workers are the main users of the lockers. Hence, how to better meet the needs of office workers will be an issue of concern for service providers.

This paper reviews major issues of mobile technology and mobile web usage among university students, including characteristics, importance and problems faced by university students when accessing web sites through mobile devices. This article also reviews the technology adoption models/theories that will best explain the adoption of IT/IS. The author identified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the best model in explaining adoption of mobile web because TAM is the most suitable in explaining behavioural intention in the context of mobile devices. Mobile Web is the World Wide Web which is accessed through a mobile device such as laptop computer, smart phone or tablet. It establishes the entirety of the Internet and is not limited to webpages which have been specifically designed to be viewed through mobile devices. Distinctive features of mobile technology especially mobile web technology and its progressive impacts on information transfer and learning process has created many educational opportunities for higher education institutions. Although mobile devices are highly flexible, accessible and convenient, students are still facing great problems when they use mobile web for educational purpose.

The fourth industrial revolution (4IR) has ushered in several emerging and disruptive technologies. Southern Africa's records management practices have for a long time been reported to lag behind in embracing new technologies. Several studies have revealed lack of requisite skills to manage electronic records while others still lament the un-procedural management of paper records. The intention of this chapter is, therefore, to initiate a discourse that challenges information management practitioners to embrace disruptive technologies lest they themselves get disrupted. There are several emerging technologies, but this chapter focuses on blockchain technology and its possible benefits for records management. Guided by the technology acceptance model, the study established that archivists and records managers in Botswana and Zimbabwe would adopt blockchain if it is easy to use and useful for records management. The chapter ends by proposing a model for the adoption of blockchain technology for records management.

<span>Effective evaluation is necessary in order to ensure systems adequately meet the requirements and information processing needs of the users and scope of the system. Technology acceptance model is one of the most popular and effective models for evaluation. A number of studies have proposed evaluation frameworks to aid in evaluation work. The end users for evaluation the acceptance of new technology or system have a lack of knowledge to examine and evaluate some features in the new technology/system. This will give a fake evaluation results of the new technology acceptance. This paper proposes a novel evaluation model to evaluate user acceptance of software and system technology by modifying the dimensions of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and added additional success dimensions for expert users. The proposed model has been validated by an empirical study based on a questionnaire. The results indicated that the expert users have a strong significant influence to help in evaluation and pay attention to some features that end users have lack of knowledge to evaluate it.</span>

The ubiquitous application of smartphones and their advanced development have created an opportunity for using them as coding platforms. In this study, we compared between the use of personal computers (PCs) and smartphones to investigate the factors affecting the use of smartphones in programing. The behavioral intentions of smartphone end-users are inspired by the ease of use perception, enjoyment perception, programing anxiety, perception of external control, and smartphone design aesthetics. Although the [Formula: see text] value of the smartphone model was lower than that of the PC model, the end-users’ adoption decisions could have shifted toward accepting the use of smartphones for programing had their decisions been free of enforcement. In this study, design aesthetics and programing anxiety were introduced to Technology Acceptance Model 3 in an Arabic environment. Additionally, the model was creatively applied for guiding practitioners in two situations. First, when organizations are in the quest for emerging technology to replace the legacy technology, they might apply the presented side-by-side comparison of the use of PCs with that of smartphones in programing. Second, at a time when decision makers analyze what might hinder the adoption of a recently introduced technology, the model can be a successful hand tool guiding the top management in identifying technology acceptance interventions, an approach this research revealed. Furthermore, in this paper, the research implications and recommendations are presented for technology practitioners and designers.

The conventional education system in developing countries has been enhanced recently by implementing the latest technology of distributed ledger. Disruptive technology is a fundamental requirement for greater accountability and visibility. We explored the key factors affecting the intentions of educational institutions to use blockchain technology for e-learning. This study proposed an expanded model of Technology Acceptance Model by integrating the diffusion of innovation theory. Based on an online survey, the conceptual model was tested and validated using structural equation modeling. The results showed that compatibility had a significant impact on blockchain use in smart learning environments. Other significant effects were also found on adoption of blockchain technology. This study offers an expanded Technology Acceptance Model for implementing blockchain that could assist decision makers in building a smart learning environment for the educational institutes for the emerging economies.

This paper adopts a technology acceptance model used for studying Robot’s acceptance and focuses on the acceptance of robotic technologies. Despite a wide range of studies on the acceptance and usage of robotics technologies in different fields, there is lacuna of empirical evidence on the acceptance of robotics technologies in the educational context. We contribute to the scholarship on robotics technologies in an educational context, by using qualitative semi-structured interviews, and proposing a research model to empirically explore the main factors affecting the acceptance of robotics technologies, and particularly among university students. We contribute to practice by offering insights on users' expectations and intentions toward the potential use of robot services to both robot developers, and educational institutions alike. The results revealed a potential impact of effort expectancy, performance expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions on the intention behavior towards using robots as academic advisors. Additionally, an emergent dimension (i.e. emotions) was found to have an influence on the behavioral intentions, via its proposed impact on performance and effort expectancies. Overall, social characteristics of robots ought to be considered when investigating their acceptance, specifically when used as social entities in a human environment.

This paper explores the factors influencing the acceptance of halal virtual inspection. Halal inspection is one of the main critical processes in Halal Certification system. However, due to the problems that occur in Halal Certification system, halal virtual inspection is proposed to overcome the problems. The technology acceptance model (TAM) was adapted as a baseline theory. Survey questionnaires were distributed to 86 respondents who are identified as halal industry players such as producers and consumers of food and beverages sector. The findings of this study reveal that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, amount of information, perceived security and trust are the main factors influencing halal virtual inspection acceptance. These factors could be used as a guideline to the halal service providers in order to achieve effective implementation, efficient and trusted halal virtual inspection.

The purpose of this paper is to explore and discuss the determinants that inhibit mobile banking adoption by the rural unbanked in Zimbabwe. The researchers conducted an extensive literature search. The references consulted were categorically analysed and articles were considered to compile the findings of this paper. The study provides a contribution to practice by providing a better understanding of issues associated with mobile banking diffusion mechanisms that aid the adoption of mobile banking systems. The main findings of the research indicate that there is a slow and often annoying adoption of mobile banking within Zimbabwe by the rural unbanked due to a considerable number of inhibitive factors. This research reveals the nature of adoption that may reliably inform service providers about strategies to consider when appealing to this market segment. The study also shows that mobile banking adoption cannot ignore the use of marketing oriented factors in order to avoid the assumption of being myopic by considering only the product based variables to assess behavioural intention to adopt mobile banking services as identified in Technology Acceptance Model. However, the literature review also reveals that there are virtually no substantive theoretical researches which adequately extend the TAM using all the marketing mix elements. Therefore Technology Acceptance Model is extended using the marketing mix elements to better predict the behavioural intention to adopt mobile banking by the rural unbanked. This research, having studied the behaviour of the rural unbanked, argues that mobile banking service providers are likely to develop tailor-made integrated marketing mix strategies in order to financially include this market segment. The paper recommends for future research to use the additional marketing mix elements of physical evidence, processes and people in the adoption of mobile banking services by the rural unbanked.
