Ontology development is meaningful and useful for both users and IR; therefore, it needs to be evaluated. In this chapter, we are going to test and evaluate the results produced in the research, which is the development of the OIS ontology life cycle. It describes the testing and validation which was applied to the whole model from the initial implementation to ensure consistency of modelled knowledge. The evaluation objective was to collect feedback on OIS ontology by using our evaluation system. The Ontocop system is a platform that has been implemented to get feedback from the IS community. The feedback is assessing and eliciting further details that support the ontology development. The evaluation and discussion will be at two levels based on Gòmez-Pérez's view.

Green building materials as an important factor plays important role in the promote sustainable development. However, at present a unified understanding on the green building materials in China have not been formed, the evaluation system of green building materials is not perfect. In this paper, the concept and features of green building materials are discussed deeply, and life cycle model is used to evaluate the green building materials. The status and future trend of green building materials are discussed too.

It is critically important to synthesize the life-cycle assessment (LCA) and construction waste content, especially in term in recycling of construction waste resources[1] and optimizing critria in the lifecycle evaluation. That is, the development of construction waste resources is entitled to be boosted, as same as criteria and elements in periodic evaluation concentrating on the module of construction waste. This paper analyzes the disadvantages of construction waste and potential promotion in each stage, which is of great significance for improving the evaluation system and management of construction waste.

Dynamic Alliance is becoming more and more important in manufacturing industry. Based on previous studies, a five-stage life-cycle of Dynamic Alliance is proposed in this paper. On the basis of life-cycle, taking into account both the entire life-cycle and each stage; the quality evaluation system was built. In this paper, the methods of Delphi and Multiple Factor Analysis were used to study the factors influencing the quality level at each stage, then quantitative conclusion was drew in the end. In addition, as the researches on Dynamic Alliance are still at the exploratory stage in manufacturing industry, this paper tries to provide references for further study.

According to the idea of the life cycle assessment method (LCA), the consumption of the energy and material, which is involved in the whole life cycle in each phase of single green construction technique, and the impact on the environment, is discussed. Based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory, a green degree evaluation system is established. The Analytic Hierarchy Process method (AHP) is adopted to establish green assessment system of the hierarchical structure model, and by means of 10/10-18/2 scaling method through pairwise comparison on tectonic judgment matrix of each level, the weight of each affecting factor is ultimately determined. Finally, VB program is used to compile visual programs of green degrees assessment. The quantitative assessment of integrated green degree for green construction technology is obtained, after inputting the score of the corresponding index, with reference to the influence of the factors assessment standards. By verifying rationality of the assessment system, the study proves that the system plays a guidance role in the self-assessment and reasonable construction for the construction of green technology.

The development of Fasting Ontology in the Pillars of Islam is presented in this paper and has been built based on reliable sources of Islamic Knowledge. The METHONTOLOGY methodology is used for the ontology development, which include identifying motivation scenarios, creating the competency questions, implementation and evaluation. From the beginning of the development of life cycle, the ontology was appraised from the competency questions and the outcome were clear. Therefore, this ontology can link each concept specifically to the individual verse together with the Tafsir that is related to the topics. The ontology proposed will be part of a larger ontology on Five Pillars of Islam. This development of the ontology is intended to refer to the field of learning for other purpose. For instance, search engine, chatbot, expert system or knowledge-based system.

For the development of the System Based Code, which was proposed by Asada and intends to optimize structural design of nuclear components by enabling margin exchange between various technical options, a tool for life cycle structural reliability evaluation method is necessary. For this purpose, the authors are developing a material strength and structural reliability evaluation system MSS-REAL. The system is primarily for fast breeder reactors but its methodologies can also be applied to the other types of reactors. This paper summarizes the features of the MSS-REAL system with examples and also describes a future development plan.

The urgency of the global environmental impact has made mankind pay more and more attention to the issue of sustainable development in all fields. The field of highway construction is no exception. Traditional highway construction has the characteristics of high investment, high energy consumption, wide pollution and strong destruction, and serious environmental impact, which is not conducive to the long-term development of society and the country. From the point of view of life cycle, combined with Current Events and Policies, green concept, Four-New Technology and consulting experience in highway construction of many years, this paper puts forward a three-stage green highway construction system of green design, green construction and green road maintenance. to promote the healthy, sustainable and green development of highway industry.
