A variety of multidimensional data models have recently been proposed by both academic and industry communities. but consensus on formalism or even a common terminology has not yet emerged. In this chapter, we first discuss the requirements that an ideal conceptual multidimensional model should fulfill. These requirements are suggested by general information system modeling principles and the specific characteristics of OLAP applications. Building on these requirements, we then present a general conceptual multidimensional data model and show how it can be used to describe the basic aspects of a business application in a way that is easy to understand and independent of the criteria for actual data organization in the various systems. Starting from the characteristics of the model proposed, we summarize the general features that a multidimensional conceptual model should support. We then survey various multidimensional models proposed and relate their characteristics to these general features. Finally, we discuss the main points raised in the chapter and some problems that remain to be solved in this context.

Recently, the social networking applications expand rapidly and attract a lot of users in a short time period. This study attempts to develop a conceptual model to understand the continuance intention in the context of social networking. The conceptual model integrates the post-acceptance model of information system continuance with perceived ease-of-use and perceived usefulness proposed by Bhattacherjee (2001a) and Davis (1989), respectively. In the proposed model, continuance intention is influenced by the relationship quality and information system quality. Additionally, nine propositions are developed based the proposed model and literature review. Finally, conclusions, managerial implications, and future direction of research are also provided.

Abstract. In recent years, software packages for the management of biological data have rapidly been developing. However, currently, there is no general information system available for managing molecular data derived from both Sanger sequencing and microsatellite genotyping projects. A prerequisite to implementing such a system is to design a general data model which can be deployed to a wide range of labs without modification or customization. Thus, this paper aims to (1) suggest a uniform solution to efficiently store data items required in different labs, (2) describe procedures for representing data streams and data items (3) and construct a formalized data framework. As a result, the data framework has been used to develop an integrated information system for small labs conducting biodiversity studies.

The need for information in life has transformed into basic needs. As an impact, this will cause problems when not handled properly. The Garuda Cooperative is one of the Employee Cooperatives in Sragen with complex managerial data but its management is still manual. To support its business process, a management information system is needed to handle data quickly and accurately. This study aims to develop a management information system for Garuda Cooperatives. The flow of research used is analysis, design, implementation, testing, and conclusion. System modeling uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) in the form of a use case diagram and statechart diagram. The programming language used is Delphi with PostgreSQL as database management. The information system produced includes processing savings and loan business units, processing membership data and reports. The results of the system testing on 8 respondents showed that the system was running well to meet needs, had an attractive appearance, and was easy to use.

Improving the quality of the restored information in the process of restoration and restoration of phonograms.Synthesis of the system model on the basis of analysis of the processes of restoration and restoration of phonograms from media of various types and computer processing. The characteristics of the conceptual model of the restoration and restoration of the phonogram are determined. The structure of the system model of the information recovery process is developed. A lot of concepts and connections between concepts are defined. The structure of the system modeling restoration and restoration of phonograms is defined. A conceptual model of the restoration and restoration process is proposed. The distribution of artifacts over the playback and processing modes of a phonogram is justified. Details of the type of content with features of the effect on the state of the phonogram. The solutions obtained are the basis of the methodology for carrying out the process of restoration and restoration of phonograms by the criterion of sound quality.
