A comprehensive outbound logistics strategy of environmentally-sensitive products is essential to facilitate effective resource allocation, reliable quality control, and a high customer satisfaction in a supply chain. In this article, an intelligent knowledge management system, namely the Internet-of-Things (IoT) Outbound Logistics Knowledge Management System (IOLMS) is designed to monitor environmentally-sensitive products, and to predict the quality of goods. The system integrates IoT sensors, case-based reasoning (CBR) and fuzzy logic for real-time environmental and product monitoring, outbound logistics strategy formulation and quality change prediction, respectively. By studying the relationship between environmental factors and the quality of goods, different adjustments or strategies of outbound logistics can be developed in order to maintain high quality of goods. Through a pilot study in a high-quality headset manufacturing company, the results show that the IOLMS helps to increase operation efficiency, reduce the planning time, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Knowledge management requires people to synthesize and interpret information, and technologies to organize, make sense of, and draw conclusions from the collection of knowledge. Together, these people and technologies shape part of a sociotechnical system. The relationships between them make the sociotechnical system behave as a network, where communication and knowledge transfer can occur, and the network becomes a community once elements of the system interact in meaningful ways. The quality of a knowledge management system depends on how well these meaningful exchanges are promoted and cultivated. This chapter examines how to construct a high-quality knowledge management system, taking into consideration the challenging sociotechnical nature of such an effort. By relating the four stages of a continuous improvement process, the five measures of quality within a knowledge management system, and EASE (Expectations, Actionability, Sustainability, and Evaluation), we present an approach to examine the business processes associated with knowledge management. Managers can use this framework to assess the quality of knowledge management systems and formulate strategies for continually improving them.

The Knowledge in a study program or faculty at Higher Education is an asset that must be utilized by universities. Explicit knowledge can be in the form of meeting attendance, meeting schedules, minutes of meetings, teaching materials, documentation of the final session, letters (SK, ST, contract letters, etc.), certificates, reports, guidelines, manuals , memos, strategic plans, curriculum and so on. However, knowledge cannot be easily accessed by cross study programs or cross faculties at the college. Some study programs have done documentation so well that it has an impact on satisfying accreditation assessments. Study programs that have satisfactory accreditation can be an example for other study programs. A knowledge management system is needed to bridge the distance between study programs that have good governance and others. The results of the knowledge management system testing allow for the exchange of knowledge to become a means of improving the quality of governance both at the study program level and at the faculty level.

E-Government performance in the application of quality management information communication technology is very necessary. A website-based system is also used to improve the quality of services and community participation in development. The context that becomes the material that needs to be examined is public service, the quality of websites managed by the government and user satisfaction so that there is a two-way interaction between the government and the community. The purpose of this study consisted of three stages which were first to determine the role of E-government by utilizing technology to support the development of a reliable information system in South Tangerang Regency. The second is to find out the extent to which the system is used in South Tangerang E-government through Usability Evaluation using SUMI (Software Usability Measurement Inventory). The method used in this study is a method adopted from the Knowledge Management System Life Cycle. The stages of the method are Evaluate Existing Infrastructure, Form The KM Team, Knowledge Capture, Implement the KM system. The results of this study are in the form of usability values on the E-Government website of South Tangerang and usability testing which becomes a benchmark for the success of a system with score scores for 85 effectiveness categories, 81.5

Nowadays cloud computing technologies are cost-effective services enabling to generate the learning quality. The goal of this research is to define the borderline of the effectiveness and limitation of the partial implementation of Knowledge Management System based on cloud computing technologies. In view of this, the research in the form of knowledge testing as well as objective and subjective assessment of the learning quality within a wide sampling of 396 students in two independent reference groups was conducted. One of the groups has used traditional methods of the training conducted in classrooms by applying e-learning, and the other one has used the Knowledge Management System based on cloud services under the most budgetary option. As a result, a range of certain differences in the quality of training of two groups was found out and the latter must be used for a further study. According to the results of all tests related to the quality of training, in the group, that has used Knowledge Management Systems and cloud computing technologies, the students have demonstrated results above average in various tests than in the group where these technologies have not been used. The results allow defining specific advanced features of Knowledge Management Systems with the application of cloud computing technologies in the education.

This article discusses system use as a measure of knowledge management success. It is proposed that for knowledge management systems (KMS) it is not the amount of use that is important, but rather the quality of that use and the intention to use the KMS when appropriate. Evidence is provided to support this proposition and a knowledge management system success model incorporating this proposition is discussed. Additionally, findings are provided that show that new users to an organization use the KMS differently than experienced users and implications of this difference are discussed.
