The retail sector, over the years, has evolved dramatically to provide better service to its customers. With the superior convenience of online shopping and tangible experience of in-store shopping, retail industries are looking forward to integrating both modes, thus embracing omni channel to provide better service to their customers. The prime objective of the research is to investigate the level of influence that using the Click & Collect online shopping mode can have on customer purchase intention and to ascertain the effects that online and offline shopping attributes have on this intention. The study emphasizes the usefulness of integrating both the shopping modes, thus embracing omni channel in the retail sector to provide a better shopping experience to the customers. The primary data were collected from 356 respondents.  Secondary data were collected by reviewing articles, research papers, extant studies and newspaper articles. In the analysis, the buying behaviour through an e-commerce platform and customers’ purchase intentions are taken as the dependent variable. Product risk, online trust, website quality, offline experience and perceived usefulness are identified as the independent variables. The data thus collected were processed for regression tests using IBM SPSS 25 software to analyse the results. The Stimulus-Organism-Response model was deployed as the proposed model for the research. The results obtained from the research will allow retailers to understand the customer's buying behaviour towards the new Click & Collect system better by identifying the key variables that influence their purchase intention.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the moderating effect of risk perception on the relationship among emotional biases (i.e., regret aversion and loss aversion) and the trading frequency of individual investors in the context of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). Approach / Methodology: This study is conducted under the philosophical assumptions of the positivist paradigm and the approach is deductive. The convenience sampling technique is used for sample selection of registered individual investors on the database of PSX. This led the study towards designing a cross-sectional study. Furthermore, 384 questionnaires are used for the collection of primary data from a population of 0.22 million registered PSX individual investors. The direction and degree of relationship among variables of concern are analyzed by the multiple linear regression techniques. The structural Equation Modelling (SEM) technique is used for authentication of moderation results. Findings: The results depict that regret aversion and loss aversion have statistically significant and negative impacts on individual investors’ trading frequency. Whereas, risk perception has an insignificant & positive impact on individual investors’ trading frequency. Moreover, risk perception is found to moderate the relationship between these two emotional behavioral biases. Originality/Value: This current study is a pioneer in developing links between individual investors’ trading frequency, loss aversion, regret aversion, and risk perception. The article also contributes to the literature of behavioral finance, specifically while understanding the role of emotional biases in investment strategies. So, this article engenders the reader's thoughtfulness to find plausible explanations in minimizing the impact of emotional biases in trading frequency and decision-making of individual investors. Implications: This study implies that emotional biases and risk perception cause and moderate the magnitude of the trading frequency of individual investors. The regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and PSX can launch training programs for individual investors to train them in coping up with such emotional biases and risk perception. This might result in the enhancement of the market capitalization of the stock market.

PurposeThis paper aims to determine the effect of the congruence between a website's background color and its context (product category) on online trust and resulting behavioral intentions in emerging markets.Design/methodology/approachAn online experiment, conducted on 240 web-surfers, compared two versions of a website (high vs low color-context congruence) in terms of online trust and resulting behavioral intentions. The authors also studied the moderating role of the online shopping experience on the color-context congruence impact on online trust.FindingsResults revealed that a website's color-context congruence enhances online trust. The authors have also demonstrated that online trust plays a mediating role in the relationship between color-context congruence and behavioral intentions. Moreover, they found out that the influence of the color-context congruence on online trust is enhanced when the web-surfer is highly experienced in online shopping.Research limitations/implicationsThis research contributes to fill in the theoretical gaps and to better understand the influence of color-context congruence on online trust and behavioral intentions in emerging markets. Indeed, past studies had focused on the color impact on online trust without taking into consideration congruence with the website context. However, this study is limited to a single category of products (tourist products) and only two colors (blue and red) were manipulated in the experiment.Practical implicationsThis study highlights the importance of selecting a background's color that matches with the sold product category to reassure web-surfers so that they trust the commercial website and express some favorable intentions like buying.Originality/valuePrior studies had focused on the website's color effect on online trust neglecting color-context congruence. Our study helps to highlight the importance of selecting background colors matching the product category.

Marketing refers to the strategies a company undertakes to promote its brands to its potential audience. Advertising provides useful venues for marketing to promote a company’s survives/goods to the audience. It has a positive impact on the sale of services or products. In this study, we consider a well-known online medium called Twitter (the fourth most popular social media platform used by marketers) to check its impact on sales. For this purpose, the simple linear regression modeling approach is implemented to test the significance and usefulness of Twitter advertising on sale. Statistical tests such as t-test and correlation test are adopted to test the hypothesis of the “impact of Twitter advertising on sales.” Based on the findings of this study, it is observed that Twitter advertising has a positive impact on sales. Furthermore, a new statistical model called the exponential T-X exponentiated exponential is introduced. The proposed model is very interesting and possesses heavy-tailed characteristics which are useful in finance and other related sectors. Finally, the applicability of the new model is illustrated by considering the sales data.

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam which has a function of faith, social and economic functions. Muslims who can pay zakat are required to give at least 2.5 per cent of their wealth. The problem of poverty prevalent in disadvantaged regions because of the difficulty of access to information and communication led to a gap that is so high in wealth and resources. The instrument of zakat provides a paradigm in the achievement of equitable wealth distribution and healthy circulation. Zakat potentially offers a better life and improves the quality of human being. There is a human quality improvement not only in economic terms but also in spiritual terms such as improving religiousity. This study aims to examine the role of zakat to alleviate humanitarian issues in disadvantaged regions such as Sijunjung, one of zakat beneficiaries and impoverished areas in Indonesia. The researcher attempted a Cibest method to capture the impact of zakat beneficiaries before and after becoming a member of Zakat Community Development (ZCD) Program in material and spiritual value. The overall analysis shows that zakat has a positive impact on disadvantaged regions development and enhance the quality of life of the community. There is an improvement in the average of mustahik household incomes after becoming a member of ZCD Program. Cibest model demonstrates that material, spiritual, and absolute poverty index decreased by 10, 5, and 6 per cent. Meanwhile, the welfare index is increased by 21 per cent. These findings have significant implications for developing the quality of life in disadvantaged regions in Sijunjung. Therefore, zakat is one of the instruments to change the status of disadvantaged areas to be equivalent to other areas.
