In order to realizing real-time on-line oil monitoring for high-power gearbox’s wear state during operation, a monitoring system is developed on the basis of the ferrograph sensors in this paper. By means of a multi-level monitoring system, a real-time remote monitoring and analysis system of unattended machine wear condition is achieved which can real-time display the image of the wear particles and the wear information of the gears, thus getting such advantages as timely notice and warning, reducing equipment’s damage and maintenance costs . The initial application of system on the real machine shows good results and effects.

The aim of this paper is to present a new ECG and motion activity monitoring and on-line analysis system for athle-tes. The developed system is intended to facilitate the coach in optimizing and individualizing the training of elite athletes.The hardware system consists of the device for registration of ECG and accelerometer signals and wireless trans-mission to computer. The coach software works in two modes: on-line version is used during training and off-line version is designed for detailed data analysis after training. The new method for respiration frequency evaluation was developed and checked on 28 persons, and in most cases the developed algorithm correctly evaluated the respiration frequency of the investigated persons. The evaluation of athlete’s functional state from calculated and measured pa-rameters and formation of warning signals (green — normal state, yellow — limitary state and red — premonitory state) is based on the analysis applying Moore and Mealy automata algorithms. The software for the evaluation of the patient’s activity was tested on 11 healthy students: the increase in physical activity level during the brisk walk was 1.4 times higher compared to the level during the slow walk, and during the jogging sessions it was 1.89 times higher than during the slow walk.The results obtained during the investigations show that the developed ECG and motion activity monitoring system with two packages of software allows to measure cardio respiratory changes and changes in intensities of physical activity under daily conditions. The comprehensive off-line analysis by monitoring data provides the possibility for coaches to make more detailed analysis of cardio respiratory changes and changes in intensities during training.Keywords: monitoring system for athletes, electrocardiogram, accelerometry, respiration frequency.

ABSTRACTThe needs of flood disaster management encourage various efforts from all scientific disciplines of science, technology, and society. This article discusses the efforts to prevent flooding due to the habit of disposing of their waste into rivers through an innovative waste management system using the approach and application of Internet-based technology (IoT). Previous research has produced a prototype of the waste level monitoring system. In this research, the prototype was developed into a practical technology, called SiKaSiT (IoT Based Trash Capacity Monitoring System). This technology aims to assist janitor in monitoring, controlling and obtaining information about trash capacity and disposal time easily through an application on the smartphone in real-time and online. The system was made using a level detection sensor integrated with NodeMCU and Wi-Fi, MQTTbroker-protocol and Android-based application. Furthermore, the system was implemented in Bojongsoang adjacent to the Citarum river, where the water often overflowed due to the high rainfall and volume of trash around it. The results of system testing in the field shown good performance with value ranges of reliability is (99,785 - 99,944)% and availability is (99,786 - 99,945)%. SiKaSiT has several advantages over other similar systems. First, there is an application on the user's smartphone to monitor the capacity of trash and notification for full-bin. Second, the ability to operate on a small-bandwidth internet network because the throughput time is only around 0.59 kbps, thereby saving internet bandwidth consumption. This system has also helped overcome the problem of community trash management in Kampung Cijagra, where 60% of them gave feedback "agree" and the rest "strongly agree".Keywords: waste, IoT, monitoring, flooding, riverABSTRAKKebutuhan penanggulangan bencana banjir mendorong berbagai upaya dari semua disiplin ilmu baik dari bidang sains, teknologi dan sosial. Dalam artikel ini, penulis membahas upaya pencegahan banjir akibat kebiasaan membuang sampah ke sungai melalui inovasi sistem manajemen sampah menggunakan pendekatan dan penerapan teknologi berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Pada riset sebelumnya telah dihasilkan sebuah prototype sistem monitoring level sampah. Kemudian pada riset ini prototype tersebut dikembangkan menjadi suatu teknologi tepat guna, dinamakan dengan SiKaSiT (Sistem Pemantauan Kapasitas Sampah Berbasis IoT). Teknologi ini bertujuan untuk membantu petugas kebersihan dalam memantau, mengontrol dan memperoleh informasi tentang kapasitas sampah dan waktu pembuangan sampah dengan mudah melalui aplikasi di smartphone secara real time dan online. Sistem dibuat dengan menggunakan sensor deteksi ketinggian sampah yang diintegrasikan dengan NodeMCU dan Wi-Fi, protokol MQTT broker dan aplikasi berbasis android pada smartphone. Selanjutnya sistem diimplementasikan di daerah Bojongsoang yang berdekatan dengan sungai Citarum yang airnya sering meluap akibat tingginya curah hujan dan volume sampah di sekitarnya. Hasil pengujian sistem di lapangan menunjukkan kinerja yang baik dengan kisaran nilai reliability adalah (99,785 – 99,944) % dan availability adalah (99,786 – 99,945) %. SiKaSiT memiliki beberapa kelebihan dibanding sistem serupa lainnya. Pertama, adanya aplikasi di smartphone pengguna untuk memonitor kapasitas sampah dan notifikasi saat tempat sampah penuh. Kedua, sistem mampu beroperasi pada jaringan internet bandwith kecil karena waktu throughput-nya hanya sekitar 0,59 kbps sehingga menghemat konsumsi bandwith internet. Sistem ini juga telah membantu menanggulangi permasalahan pengelolaan sampah masyarakat Kampung Cijagra, dimana 60% masyarakat memberi feedback “setuju” dan sisanya “sangat setuju”.Kata kunci: Sampah, IoT, Monitoring, Banjir, Sungai

In the nonmedical sputum monitoring system, a practical solution for phlegm stagnation care of patients was proposed. Through the camera, the video images of patients’ laryngeal area were obtained in real time. After processing and analysis on these video frame images, the throat movement area was found out. A three-frame differential method was used to detect the throat moving targets. Anomalies were identified according to the information of moving targets and the proposed algorithm. Warning on the abnormal situation can help nursing personnel to deal with sputum blocking problem more effectively. To monitor the patients’ situation in real time, this paper proposed a VDS algorithm, which extracted the speed characteristics of moving objects and combined with the DTW algorithm and SVM algorithm for sequence image classification. Phlegm stagnation symptoms of patients were identified timely for further medical care. In order to evaluate the effectiveness, our method was compared with the DTW, SVM, CTM, and HMM methods. The experimental results showed that this method had a higher recognition rate and was more practical in a nonmedical monitoring system.

An on-line monitoring system was proposed to monitor lubrication oil real-time condition. Oil is the machine equipment blood, and its condition has very serious influence on machine running. Firstly, this paper expiated the research significance of on-line oil monitoring. Then the key problem of on-line oil monitoring was discussed and its goal was analyzed. Furthermore, basic research content and research thread were put forward. Based on the modern photoelectric detection, microscopic imaging and computer image processing technology, an on-line acquisition system of lubricating oil particle image was proposed. This work provides a new research idea for on-line monitoring system which is important to develop the technology of oil condition monitoring.
