The virtual maintenance technology based on the virtual reality technology has changed the traditional single-site maintenance means, and also overcame the shortcoming of manufacturing cycle length, high cost, and difficult to amend for the physical prototype. Furthermore, it can expose the problem during the early design. The key technologies of virtual maintenance include the maintenance process model, virtual maintenance prototype, virtual maintenance simulation, analysis and evaluation of maintainability. In this paper, the research object is aeroengine.The key technologies of virtual maintenance were analyzed.

Virtual maintenance technology is a major innovation in the equipment maintenance field in recent years, the armored anti-riot vehicles play a vital role in the tasks of the duty, conflict, terrorism of the armed police force. In order to apply the virtual maintenance technology in armored anti-riot vehicles better, the article introduced the virtual maintenance technology and its key technologies, and gave the importance of virtual maintenance technology. It established the virtual maintenance process model of armored anti-riot vehicles. At last, it gave the prospect of the technology and made some suggestions.

This paper presents a method of constructing a nuclear power plant in-service maintenance virtual simulation scene and virtual maintenance process. Taking air-baffles dismantling process of CAP1400 nuclear power plant for instance, this paper discusses ergonomics, space analysis, and time assessment based on virtual reality in the process of in-service maintenance. It demonstrates the advantage of using virtual reality technology to design and verify an in-service maintenance process of nuclear power plants compared to the conventional way.

By virtual reality technology and ergonomics theory, a basic method of ergonomic analysis on virtual maintenance of civil airplane is herein presented based on DELMIA modeling tool. The method is characterized by two steps: (1) establish the appraisal indexes of ergonomics on virtual maintenance of civil airplane; (2) give a quite complete ergonomic analysis and confirmation system flow chart. By defining maintenance cases and simulating the virtual maintenance process under the DELMIA platform, it is possible to accomplish the ergonomic analysis and evaluation with respect to the ergonomics indexes. The strengths of this method are in its ability to provide the available data and experience for further ergonomic design research and in its broadly applicable 3-D digital human model well suited for computer simulation. Furthermore, because the ergonomic analysis problem in maintainability design is indeed a simulation and confirmation process, the use of simulation techniques and confirmation techniques in this work lends itself to maintainability concurrent design of civil airplane. The ergonomic analysis method is demonstrated using vision analysis as an example.

The method of rope-ladder training can effectively improves the participants' mobile ability and sensitivity, and for playability of the method's practice way makes it easy way to interest the participants. With the introduction rope-ladder training in school, we can help the students sports teams to train and improve their physical quality. In this paper, the design ideas, development process and the key technologies of the rope-ladder teaching assistant system in virtual reality technology are described. The rope-ladder teaching assistant system developed by virtual reality technology can effectively resolve the difficulties in the teaching and break the time and space constraints of sports teaching, and expand the methods of sports teaching which is conducive to the improvement of practice effect.

Virtual reality (VR) technology is a new and comprehensive application of information technology. It can make people get the same feeling such as in the real world. VR has become one of the three major means of human exploration of the objective world rule. As one of the key technologies of building digital multi-dimensional information space technology support platform, virtual reality technology in the development and application domain expands unceasingly. This paper designs and realizes a 3D virtual campus roaming system based-VRML and mainly studies the key technology of overall modeling and local modeling, then achieves virtual campus interactive roaming function Using VRML development tool. The paper provides some experience for virtual reality technology in simulation campus construction in the areas of application.

Aim: To predict the mechanical product maintenance time is difficult in the situation of lack of physical prototype or similar products’ statistics in stage of design Method: According to the theory of time accumulative estimation method, a product maintenance time prediction method framework based on virtual prototype was constructed, which described the prediction process. The virtual maintenance environment which contains virtual prototype, virtual human and maintenance tools was developed. The virtual human’s position and posture information during the maintenance process was obtained by implementing VBScript language. Result: Basic maintenance motions that constitute the whole maintenance process were classified into 4 categories: body movement, upper limb movement, grasp/replace and operation. Based on MODAPTS (Modular arrangement of predetermined time standard) method and virtual maintenance simulation, corresponding time prediction methods for each categories were proposed. Discussion: Take a maintenance dissassembly and assembly task of engine as an example, through the comparison between the measured actual maintenance time and predicted time of several methods, feasibility and effectiveness of proposed method are verified
