Abstract Due to the good biocompatibility, 316L stainless steel is widely used in the manufacture of medical instru-ments and human implants. The super hydrophilic 316L steel surface is used for reducing friction and adhe-sion. By choosing appropriate laser process parameters 316L steel surfaces with super-hydrophilic were ob-tained. The effects of laser process parameters including repeat frequency, pulse width, scanning speed, and the number of scanning were investigated to find the relationship between surface microstructure and wet-ting ability. To investigate the super-hydrophilic maintenance time on the textured surface, the textured sur-faces were preserved in ambident air, distilled water, and absolute ethanol. The results showed that by choosing appropriate laser process parameters surface with super-hydrophilicity can be maintained for 30 days.

RC building elements of Reinforcing and upgrading is essential to extend its maintenance time, to overcome first structural limitations, and to control the consequence of building construction or design flaws. The RC constructions are reinforced by using the FRP-fiber reinforced polymer. This study utilizes the FRP in concrete structures for instance a Jute, coir, and Sisal is explored for its reliability in improving ductility and strength related structural performance. FRP structural response of the model parameters is studied by measuring the numerical and experimental terms, for instance, Ductility, Deflection, Tensile-Strength, and Compression-Strength. The quality of the sample specimens is tested by using the Fuzzy Neural Network (FNN) system. At this time, compared with existing jobs, the propounded Fuzzy Neural Network model accomplishes the best presentation regarding all boundaries for the fiberreinforced specimen over different stacked conditions

Aim: To predict the mechanical product maintenance time is difficult in the situation of lack of physical prototype or similar products’ statistics in stage of design Method: According to the theory of time accumulative estimation method, a product maintenance time prediction method framework based on virtual prototype was constructed, which described the prediction process. The virtual maintenance environment which contains virtual prototype, virtual human and maintenance tools was developed. The virtual human’s position and posture information during the maintenance process was obtained by implementing VBScript language. Result: Basic maintenance motions that constitute the whole maintenance process were classified into 4 categories: body movement, upper limb movement, grasp/replace and operation. Based on MODAPTS (Modular arrangement of predetermined time standard) method and virtual maintenance simulation, corresponding time prediction methods for each categories were proposed. Discussion: Take a maintenance dissassembly and assembly task of engine as an example, through the comparison between the measured actual maintenance time and predicted time of several methods, feasibility and effectiveness of proposed method are verified

Brachial plexus block commonly used in finger replantation has the advantages of simple operation, small side effects, and stable circulation, but it has inherent problems such as imperfect block range, slow onset of anesthesia, and short maintenance time of anesthesia. In order to explore the reliable clinical anesthesia effect, this paper uses experimental investigation methods to study the effect of dexmedetomidine in clinical surgery of replantation of severed fingers. Moreover, this paper uses comparative test methods, uses statistical methods to process test data, and uses intuitive methods to display test results. Finally, this paper verifies the reliability of dexmedetomidine in replantation of severed finger through comparative analysis and verifies that the anesthesia method proposed in this paper has certain user satisfaction through parameter survey.

Dust, sediment, and stone chips often block the rainwater-infiltration paths of permeable pavements, which, in conjunction with vehicle load, reduces drainage capacity. To restore this capacity, a reasonable maintenance time and suitable maintenance measures must be determined. Therefore, we investigated the void attenuation and decline in drainage capacity of permeable asphalt pavements under the combined action of dust blockage and vehicle load. First, the water seepage coefficient decay and the decay rate under blocking and compaction were determined via clogging and compaction experiments. Second, experimental data were incorporated into an entropy–analytic hierarchy process analysis model, with the gross domestic product ratio, wind scale, and maximum five-year rainfall for the area. Finally, three test roads were studied as the weight to rank the maintenance urgency and predict the maintenance timing for each road under different rainfall conditions. The results demonstrate that the drainage capacity of permeable pavements obeys the parabolic exponential attenuation law. From the findings regarding road water storage capacity, the latest pavement maintenance time at different rainfall levels were obtained. This predicted maintenance time enables better decisions than regular time on code, which is the effect of drainage caused by multiple factors.

Therefore, it is necessary for the subordinate departments to effectively combine the actual situation and introduce some advanced technologies to effectively identify the remote controller and faults and ensure the regular and stable operation of the machine.

In order to overcome the challenges and limitations related to conventional maintenance and repair methods in structural composites during service, the concept of self-healing for polymeric materials has been developed in the last decades. Inspired by biological systems, ideal self-healing materials must be able to repair damages continuously during the service life of the component, recovering its performance. Several techniques have been proposed in the last years to manufacture self-healing polymers and fiber-reinforced composites to provide healing of microcracks in the composite structure without or with less intervention, extending service life and safety of the components and reducing maintenance time and cost. This book chapter proposes an overview of the most promising self-healing approaches for thermoset and polymer matrix composites developed in recent year.

The State Electricity Company (PLN) serves all Indonesian people from Sabang to Merauke with overhead lines and cable lines. The frequency of blackouts in an area due to disturbances in the channel. PLN seeks to suppress disturbances by carrying out maintenance, namely turning it off or without being extinguished. Medium Voltage Air Lines (SUTM) are more frequent disturbances. The worst damage happened to the conductors, Jumpers, and insulators. Damage will often occur if it is not predictable. In order to find out when damage occurs, a method based on Predictive Maintenance is used, namely maintenance based on historical disturbance data statistics. Predictive Maintenance can be realized by using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). From the results of RCM calculations and statistical data on one PLN unit, there is a new value for predictive maintenance time intervals, for conductors maintenance schedule must be carried out every 2 days, Jumpers every 12 days, and isolators every 16 days before serious damage occurs and widespread blackout Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) melayani seluruh masyarakat Indonesia dari Sabang sampai Merauke dengan saluran udara dan saluran kabel. Frekuensi terjadi pemadaman pada suatu wilayah karena adanya gangguan pada saluran tersebut. PLN berupaya untuk menekan gangguan dengan melakukan pemeliharaan, yaitu dipadamkan atau tanpa dipadamkan. Saluran Udara Tegangan Menengah (SUTM) lebih sering terjadi gangguan. Kerusakan terparah ternyata terjadi pada konduktor, Jumper dan isolator. Kerusakan akan sering terjadi apabila tidak mampu diprediksi. Untuk dapat mengetahui kapan akan terjadi kerusakan digunakan metode berbasis Predictive Maintanance, yaitu pemeliharaan berdasarkan statistik data historis gangguan. Predictive Maintenance dapat terwujud dengan menggunakan  Relliability Centered Maintanance (RCM). Dari hasil perhitungan RCM dan data statsik pada salah satu unit PLN, maka terdapat nilai baru intuk interval waktu pemeliharaan secara predictive, untuk konduktor harus dilakukan penjadwalan pemeliharaan setiap 2 hari, Jumper setiap 12 hari, dan Isolator setiap 16 hari sebelum terjadi kerusakan yang parah dan pemadaman meluas.
