High density resistivity method is convenient to be used for explaining the prospected images with efficient information. In the paper, this method was used to detect the quality of watertight screen in the north slope of Gushan open-pit mine. By through inversion, analysis, explanation and speculation, the obtained results showed that the watertight screen was effective in anti-seepage, which provided technical support for the safety of slope extension at Gushan open-pit mine.

Investigation of failures is one of the critical activities of mining and haulage equipment operability assurance in mining. Maintaining failure investigation at the required quality level, it is possible to identify provisions, rules and procedures that should be revised or changed, operation conditions that should be improved, additional personnel training, if required, etc. Investigation of failures in mines is under responsibility of machine men and electricians of maintenance and operation services. In reality, factory management and setup for production condition weak concernment of these workers in quality investigation aimed at finding of sources of equipment failures. This article describes real-life results achieved in development and use of maintenance service operation, technology and management monitoring. The requirements are substantiated for quality improvement in failure cause finding and removal in mining and haulage equipment at Chernogorsky open pit mine, SUEK-Khakassia. Causes of the present quality of failure investigation by machine men of Chernogorsky Repair and Engineering Works and Chernogorsky open pit mine are revealed. The proposed recommended practices will improve quality of mining and haulage equipment failure investigation.

The North Slope Borough (NSB) Telehealth Project involves the use of slowscan (freeze-frame video) and telephone communications between 7 small villages, a central 14-bed hospital, and a large urban hospital over 700 air miles away. The project is intended to improve the quality of health care in this remote rural area in northernmost Alaska. This article describes the initial testing stages of the project and discusses applications for use of this technology. It focuses on the technological potentials for bridging cultural and linguistic differences between health care provider and client and from provider to provider for enhanced primary health care.

High-density resistivity method is a new, efficient electrical prospecting method, which can complete a two-dimensional (vertical and horizontal) prospecting process, possesses certain imaging functions for the geo-electric structure, and integrates electric profiling method with electric sounding method together. In this paper, the basic principle, data processing, and result explanation and inference of high-density resistivity method are introduced by taking the application of high-density resistivity method to the prospecting project in the slope of Gongchangling Open Pit, Liaoyang. The result of the prospecting result map analysis showed that the prospecting result was basically in line with the actual situation and proved the great significance of high-density resistivity method to the evaluation on the slope stability of Gongchangling open pit.

Based on mining area end slope stability evaluation engineer- ing of Pingshuo East open pit coal mine in Shanxi Province, ac- cording to the status quo of the North Slope of the first mining district of the East open pit coal mine as well as engineering g- eological investigation results, this article selected a represen- tative cross-section of the North Slope,adopted processing fu- nctions of finite element analysis software MIDAS/GTS, and re- spectively analyze slope stability under three conditions of the mining area of the initial excavation,backfilling and disposal,a- nd follow-up excavation.The paper concluded that Initial exca- vation caused slope instability; backfill slope is stable after di- sposal; follow-up excavation has essentially no effect on slope stability. The establishment and analysis are much closer to t- he real situation, objectively reflect the distribution of slope s- tability of the East open pit coal mine, and provide a design for open pit production safety.

The purpose is to study the patterns of groundwater influxe formation within the north-eastern side of the Private Joint-Stock Company “Inhuletskyi hirnycho-zbahachuvalnyi kombinat” (PJSC INHZK) open-pit mine in the conditions of disturbed hydrodynamic regime of the eastern adjacent side of the open-pit mine by the developed three-dimensional geofiltration model. The patterns have been determined of the open-pit mine water influx formation on the basis of a complex analysis of the actual data related to geological and hydrogeological structure of the iron ore deposit, the intensity and character of groundwater influx within the eastern side of the open-pit mine, and the results of numerical simulation of geofiltrational processes. By the results of inverse problems solutions, the geofiltration model reflects adequately the geological, hydrogeological, and geotechnical conditions of the studied territory where the technogenically disturbed hydrodynamic regime have been formed; the calculated values of the open-pit mine water influx within the eastern side of the open-pit mine and its north-eastern site, have been determined. It has been found that the values of groundwater influx and their distribution within the eastern side of the open-pit mine and its north-eastern site depend on the manner of the water-permeable alluvial strata occurrence on the eroded surface of seat clays, and the existence of a technogenic aquifer near the rock-disposal dump base at the adjacent site of the open-pit mine. The results of this research form the basis for a substantiation of technical solutions for dewatering the north-eastern side of the PJSC INHZK open-pit mine in the conditions of further development of mining operations, and for determining the hydrodynamic parameters of dewatering facilities.

This article uses the extenics and fuzzy hierarchy analysis method,on the slope stability analysis method of uncertainty is improved.At the same time,on the measured data report AnTaiBao open-pit mine for practical engineering,using the method of the north, a risk evaluation is made on the stability of slope area.Through the engineering example of calculation shows that,in this paper, the risk evaluation method is reliable and can be used to guide the slope mining design.
