The high temperature stability of AC-16, AC-13, AC-20 under specimen thickness of 5cm and 6cm is studied through indoor asphalt mixture high rutting test, Through comparison and analysis about experimental data, it is found that the stability of AC-16, AC-13, AC-20 asphalt mixture at high- temperature decreases in turn. It is shown that thickness changes did not affect the change trend of the high temperature stability under gradation change, and the stability of AC-16 at high-temperature is the best, the AC-13 is second and the AC-20 is less.

This paper introduces dynamic water effect into the test, develops a laboratory test device for simulating the dynamic water effect on asphalt pavement, and puts forward a test method of dynamic water effect working together with load, water and temperature. Based on this method, the high temperature stability of seven kinds of asphalt mixtures with the factors of asphalt grade, gradation and air voids are studied. The research shows that the effect of dynamic water can take adverse effect for the high temperature stability of asphalt mixture. The effect degree is different under different factors. It is the most disadvantaged when the air voids of the mixture is near 10%, the skeleton structure gradation of mixture is better than the suspended structure at the most disadvantage air voids, and the mixture made of high viscosity asphalt is more affected when the temperature is higher.

This paper used the method of spread the broken glass and light-colored stone into the asphalt mixture, then rolling to compact, to increase the brightness of the asphalt pavement in highway tunnel. Through a series of tests, we have studied the performance of the light-colored asphalt pavement, including high temperature stability, anti-sliding performance, impermeability, bond performance and the light-colored performance. Experimental studies have shown that the anti-sliding performance, high temperature stability will be lower slightly compared to ordinary asphalt concrete. Its impermeability has increased. The light-colored performance is better. At the same time, after the analysis of the experimental results we know that the improvement of light-colored performance is not only effected by the dosage of the materials, but also has a great relationship with the particle size. In general, the smaller the particle size of the materials joined, the more apparent the light-colored performance improved.

The high temperature stability of SMA is affected by many factors. Some factors that may affect the high temperature stability of SMA (stone mastic asphalt) analyzed by the way of Marshall and rutting testing, in the laboratory. The results show that the high temperature stability of SMA is closely related to its gradation, asphalt content, testing temperature, the number of rolling. This paper will only discuss the above factors. Study results indicated that adding proper coarse aggregate (diameter4.75mm ) and mine dust contents would play occluding and wedging role in aggregate mixture. The rolling times of SMA asphalt mixture should be Strictly controled, in order to improve the compaction density. When the experiment temperature was increased up to 67°C, high-temperature stability of SMA can not meet the requirement of standards. The optimal dosage of asphalt in rutting test is 5.0%, which is more 0.3%~0.4% than that in marshell-test. Key words: road engineering; SMA; rutting testing; Marshell test; high temperature stability

According to high temperature weak stability of common asphalt mixture, rutting tests of diatomite modified asphalt mixture, modified lake asphalt mixture, modified rock asphalt mixture and common asphalt mixture are carried out. Changes of dynamic stability for common asphalt mixture compared with modified asphalt mixtures are comparatively analysed. The results show that compared with common asphalt mixture, rutting resistances of diatomite modified asphalt mixture, modified lake asphalt mixture and modified rock asphalt mixture are greatly improved. It is proposed that those kinds of modified asphalt mixture are adopted in asphalt pavement of large longitudinal slope section.

The first aim of asphalt mixture gradation design is moisture resistance and uniformity. In such a case, the high temperature stability and durability is to be improved. In order to improve the moisture resistance level of asphalt mixture ATB-25, and reduce the possibility of moisture damage, the experiment will use the orthogonal method. On this condition, chose 9 group of mixture gradation with two factors and three levels. With marshall experiment and the results analysis we find the relationship in VV, asphalt content and gradation. The maximal and minimum value of VV will be found. The range of moisture damage will be obtained. This research will provide a meaningful reference for ATB-25 gradation design.

High temperature stability of asphalt mixture is one of asphalt pavement major performance which concerns the permanent deformation of the pavement. Four different gradations were used to detect the mixture high temperature stability, dynamic stability or short for rut distortion for regress time was obtained from regression for the data of rutting test, and the test indicates that either of these two indexes can better characterize high temperature stability of asphalt mixture.

AbstractIr-Ta-O composite bottom electrode has extraordinary high temperature stability. It can maintain good conductivity and integrity even after 5min annealing at 1000 °C in oxygen ambient. The thermal stability of Ir-Ta-O on different substrates has been studied. It shows that Ir-Ta-O is also very stable on Si and SiO2 substrates. No hillock formation and peelings of the bottom electrode were observed after high temperature and long time annealing in O2 ambient. SEM, TEM, XRD, and AES have been used to characterize the Ir-Ta-O film and the interfaces between Ir-Ta-O bottom electrode and Si or SiO2 substrate. The composition and conductivity changes of the electrode during oxygen ambient annealing and the interdiffusion issue will be discussed. Furthermore, Ir-Ta-O/SiO2/Si capacitor with 30Å gate oxide was fabricated and the C-V and I-V characteristics were measured to confirm the stability of Ir-Ta-O on thin gate oxide.
