With the aim at resolving the failure problems of Web-Services-Based electronic information systems, which are caused by web services' failure, we propose a QoS model and evaluation methods of web services collaborated with LAN. On that basis, we design a composite adaptive strategy. This strategy uses the reliability of the web services to assist the selection, and uses the web services backup set to achieve a quick fix. The analysis of feasibility shows that this strategy can obviously reduce the failure ratio and the average recovery time of the composite services.

ABSTRACTInformation systems are made to assist activities in an organization and the decisions of its leaders. Many information systems have been created by the organization, but the data or information produced always stands alone, resulting in difficulties in getting information related to information systems in the organization, duplication of information and making the information, not in the form of a complete and intact unit. The web as a means of delivering simple information from one place to another through computer networks. The web can also be used as a means of interoperability and information sharing between information systems in an organization. An information system client located on a computer network can request data services in the form of web services to an information system server that provides requested data services in an easy way.JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) is a set of rules for formatting lightweight text-based data used in data exchange. Web services (web services) on communication between information systems to exchange information can use JSON to get the ease of getting the information needed and to obtain data integrity generated from various information systems in the organization. The researcher develops web services to share data between information systems needed by other information systems in a format using JSON. The researcher expects the existence of web services with JSON format that can help information systems to get the information needed and get the integrity of the data generated between the information systems.Kata kunci—  web services, JSON, interoperability, information systems.

As the technology associated with the "Web Services" trend gains significant adoption, the need for a corresponding design approach becomes increasingly important. This paper introduces a foundational model for designing (composite) services. The innovation of this model lies in the identification of four interrelated viewpoints (interface behaviour, provider behaviour, choreography, and orchestration) and their formalization from a control-flow perspective in terms of Petri nets. By formally capturing the interrelationships between these viewpoints, the proposal enables the static verification of the consistency of composite services designed in a cooperative and incremental manner. A proof-of-concept simulation and verification tool has been developed to test the possibilities of the proposed model.

Web service technology enables seamless integration of different software to fulfill dynamic business demands in a platform-neutral fashion. However, the adoption of loosely-coupled and distributed services will cause trustworthiness problems. In this article, we present an experience-based evaluation of service’s trustworthiness based on trust experience (understanding) and trust requirements (policy). We utilize ontology to specify past experiences of services and trustworthy requirements of the requester. Before invoking found services, the addressed method can help the requester evaluate the trustworthiness of the services based on his or her trustworthy requirements and past experiences of the services. Furthermore, we also present an evaluation method for composite services by taking the structure of the composite services into account. The main contribution of the paper is providing evaluation methods for Web services such that the service requester can make better decisions in selecting found services in terms of service’s trustworthiness.

Electronic information systems provide efficient information management—development, updating, storage, retrieval, and delivery. No more stockpiling of printed, going-out-of-date information when specific, concise, up-to-date information can be obtained just in time from the Internet. Authoring for electronic media is different than authoring for the printed page. To use unique characteristics of electronic information systems, information is presented in chunks, small units of information that can combine text, video, or sound to present one concept or to answer one question. A chunk may be linked to other chunks to provide definitions and further elaboration of terms or ideas. A chunk may be linked to related chunks to provide comprehensive information inquiry-driven by and tailored to the inquirer's interests and understanding. A chunk may be linked to other chunks to provide definitions and further elaboration of terms or ideas. Collaboration is facilitated by the World Wide Web (Web). Shared development reduces redundant efforts and costs and results in better products than can be produced by autonomous efforts. Continual, shared development and updating keep the individual chunks and the linked chunks (URLs) up-to-date and dynamic. Educators can thread (link) selected web modules or chunks (URLs) together into dynamic study assignments or dynamic textbooks for courses of study. To obtain the best of both media, CD-ROM software can be designed to interact with a Web site. The ways that CD-ROM and online are interacting are varied and evolving. Graphics-rich databases such as color photographs of plants or pests and related text that do not require continual updating are well suited to CD-ROM. Web links from the CD-ROM to additional, dynamic information and updates at the Web site keep the CD-ROM live and current. ASHS members are uniquely qualified to generate continually updated, peer-reviewed horticultural information on the web for continuous access by the interested learner whose pathway on the web will be inquiry-driven.

Recently, web services have presented a new and evolving model for constructing the distributed system. The meteoric growth of the Web over the last few years proves the efficacy of using simple protocols over the Internet as the basis for a large number of web services and applications. Web service is a modern technology of web, which can be defined as software applications with a programmatic interface based on Internet protocol. Web services became common in the applications of the web by the help of Universal, Description, Discovery and Integration; Web Service Description Language and Simple Object Access Protocol. The architecture of web services refers to a collection of conceptual components in which common sets of standard can be defined among interoperating components. Nevertheless, the existing Web service's architecture is not impervious to some challenges, such as security problems, and the quality of services. Against this backdrop, the present study will provide an overview of these issues. Therefore, it aims to propose web services architecture model to support distributed system in terms of application and issues.
