This paper presents a new method to design and to determine the inertial moment of the fly wheel, according to the allowed maximum and minimum angular velocity. The advantage of this method is: in the same time of the dynamic analysis of the the mechanics we can fulfill the design of the fly wheel. With this method, the inertial moment of fly wheel is determined precisely. In the traditional method, first we have to determine the inertial moment of fly wheel, then, make static-dynamic analysis of the mechanism and find out the react force of the connect pair. For example, after work, one first goes home and then has to go shopping. But if we choose not to go home directly, while on the way home in passing do some shopping then go home. Even though it is not the shortest way, but in total we can shave time and rod. It is the same occasion with our design method too. Even though the process of calculation is more complicated than the formal method, but we can determine the reaction on the connect pair at the same time. So that in total decreased the amount of design work.

ABSTRACTRigorous testing is the way forward to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Here we show that the currently used and most reliable RT-PCR based SARS-CoV-2 procedure can be further simplified to make it faster, safer and economical by bypassing the RNA isolation step. The modified method is not only fast and convenient but also at par with the traditional method in terms of accuracy, and therefore, can be used for mass screening. Our method takes about half the time and is cheaper by about 40% compared to current most widely used method. We also provide a variant of the new method that increases the efficiency of detection by about 20% compared to the currently used method. Taken together, we demonstrate a more effective and reliable method of SARS-CoV-2 detection.

The favorable localization features of discrete wavelet provide a new method for detecting the mutational points of electric spark signal. In this paper, by means of discrete wavelet function called db5, using the way of 6 scales wavelet, analyzing the gathered electric spark signal and by extracting the modulus maxima of the 6 layers detailed signal coefficient, the signal’s mutational points were located exactly and successfully. In addition, via the modulus maxima to calculate Lipschitz index, measuring signal’s singularity, the signal’s mutational time was confirmed. The result of the simulation shows that this method can detect not only the time and size effectively if the ring fire happens but also the failure of the locomotive traction dc motor, timely and precisely. In this way, the operation safety of the train is ensured.

In view of the problems of large stress and severe bearing heating in double-drum winch at present, this paper adopted a new method to enhance bearing capacity for double-drum winch by adding anti-pressure wheels between two drums. Finite element methods were used to analyze the strength of 4000kN-traction double-drum winches with anti-pressure wheels and without anti-pressure wheels respectively. The results of the analysis revealed that the stress of the cylinder bearing decreased from 264MPa to 167MPa. The new method by adding anti-pressure wheels had remarkably improved the endurance of the bearing. Therefore, the design method can be widely used in large-traction double-drum winch.

Aiming at the problem of dynamic analysis of SSI system, the dynamic influence of different parts of foundation soil is studied on the linear elastic assumption according to the actual mechanism of Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI); in addition, a simplified model on the condition of the lumped mass method is put forward and the corresponding motion equations of SSI system are built, which can be a reference for the structural seismic design method considering SSI effect.

In this paper, a new method is presented for the identification of machine tool component errors. Firstly, the Non-Uniform Rational B-spline (NURBS) is established to represent the geometric component errors. The individual geometric errors of the motion parts are measured by laser interferometer. Then, the volumetric error for a machine tool with three motion parts is modeled based on the screw theory. Finally, the simulations and experiments are conducted to confirm the validity of the proposed method.

Traditional method of buoy gauge design is rather complicated, so an advanced method by building and solving fluid mechanics equations is proposed in this paper. The curve of the taper pipe inner surface is calculated, according to different buoy gravity and diameter. In order to examine the effect of this improved method, an experiment is carried out. Results show that linear property of the buoy gauge improved by new method is excellent.

Traditional method for measuring liquid level of absorption tower in wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) system is introduced in this paper, and it's found that measuring accuracy of the method exists in large deviation. A new method is proposed to measure liquid level of absorption tower for this situation. The local test results show that not only measurement result of new method is more close to the actual liquid level than traditional method, but also using new method can save operation cost and ensure the safety, stability, and economic operation of WFGD system.

A new method of fault diagnosis on the rotating rectifier of aeronautic synchronous is raised in the work. Firstly, the condition, truth and approach of EMD are introduced, and the method and steps of building up the feature vector are also included, Secondly the theories of LS-SVM and the arithmetic in the classification are also included. Finally taking the faults of one and two diodes turning off for example, after extracting the feature vector of exciting current based on EMD and establishing the classifying method based on Gauss RBF LS-SVM, the test, analysis and comparison can be on between LS-SVM and NN the conclusion can be got that the classified method referred in the work owns higher exactness, takes less time and has more application on the on-line fault diagnosis NN.
