Research and development activities plays an important role in regional science and technology development and technological innovation. Regional R&D input-output efficiency is a measure of the effectiveness of regional investment in science and technology activities. This paper selects four indicators to make evaluation of the input-output efficiency of R&D activities and analysis of differences between regions by using data envelopment analysis (DEA method).

This research aims to analyze the efficiency level of Sharia Rural  Financing Bank (SRFB) in Surakarta.  This study used data from four Rural Sharia Banks taken from www.ojk.co.id, which published its annual report. This study conducted input-output variables with the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method as a tool of analysis. The results of the research showed that the SRFB Dana Amanah is indicated as efficient during the 2017 period. The other three are indicated as inefficient in the last quarter. The inefficiency source came from its operational cost and its incapability to get higher output.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiency level of Shari'ah People's Financing Bank (BPRS) in Surakarta City. The data used in this study is secondary data taken from www.ojk.co.id published by each Sharia Bank Financing (BPRS). This research uses input-output variable with Data Evelopment Analysis (DEA) method. The result of the research shows that in Quarter I - Quarter IV there is only one Sharia Bank Financing (BPRS) that experienced inefficiency. Based on the calculation using Data Evelopment Analysis (DEA), in Quarter II - Quarter IV BPRS Central Syari'ah Utama experienced inefficiency, whereas in Quarter I - IV IV BPRS Dana Amanah, BPRS Dana Mulia, BPRS Harta Insan Karimah showed efficiency. The period 2016 Quarter I - fourth quarter IV of Syari'ah People Financing Bank (BPRS) that is BPRS Dana Amanah, BPRS Dana Mulia, BPRS Harta Insan Karimah already 1,000 or experienced efficiency continue to take care during that quarter

Efficiency is a topic of great interest because its applications are diverse and rich. It is applied greatly in all scientific disciplines, especially accounting for a very large proportion in economics, finance and accounting. The main objective in this paper is to analyze the effectiveness of banks in Vietnam. In order to investigate this issue, there are several implements to examine bank effectiveness where the data envelopment analysis (DEA) method is widely used. This paper presents details of the DEA method. Using the data collected from banks in Vietnam for the period 2014–2017, the approach is executed to investigate issues of technical efficiency, resource analysis and business efficiency of banks in Vietnam.

Considering time lag and accumulation of inputs and outputs, this paper adopts the superefficiency data envelopment analysis (DEA) model to study the technological innovation efficiency of high patent-intensive industries using panel data from 2007 to 2017. Given the characteristics and the actual circumstances of the industries, the innovation process is divided into two stages, and an input-output indicator system is established. The results show that the overall innovation efficiency level of high patent-intensive industries in China is increasing. However, the R&D achievements in technology are not quickly applied or sufficiently transformed.

With the power system of China continuous expanding recently, the electric power generation, transmission and supply capacity increased dramatically. In order to improve economic operational efficiency and realize scientific development, the Input-Output efficiency between the input of the power system facilities and the output of the power supply becomes a critical issue that government, business and academia have to face up to. In this paper, we used the DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) model and tested the Input-Output efficiency of power system development and study the trend of important development segment. The relative efficiency of power system is closely related to the electricity management system and economic situation, the elements of reduce the efficiency were been found out by analyzing the DEA results. And a series of suggestions were proposed to increase the comprehensive efficiency.

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a powerful tool for evaluating and improving the performance of a set of decision-making units (DMUs). Empirically, there are usually many DMUs exhibiting “efficient” status in multi-input multioutput situations. However, it is not appropriate to assert that all efficient DMUs have equivalent performances. Actually, a DMU can be evaluated to be efficient as long as it performs best in a single dimension. This paper argues that an efficient DMU of a particular input-output proportion has its own specialty and may also perform poorly in some dimensions. Two DEA-based approaches are proposed to measure the dimension-specific efficiency of DMUs. One is measuring efficiency in multiplier-form by further processing the original multiplier DEA model. The other is calculating efficiency in envelopment-form by comparing with an ideal DMU. The proposed approaches are applied to 26 supermarkets in the city of Nanjing, China, which have provided new insights on efficiency for the managers.

Although social based, Zakat Institutions (OPZ) need to uphold professionalism, transparency and accountabilityin its management. Most recently, Zakat Core Principles is known as the measurement of zakat fundmanagement. This study would try to measure the efficiency of DompetDhuafas program as Decision Making Unit (DMU) in the level of efficiencyusing Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. And also the research would look at the possibility of potential improvement from inefficient DompetDhuafas programs,input-output contribution and the reference contribution of the DMU.The results show that there are 6 DMU that efficient (100%) and inefficient as much as 18 DMU. The most inefficient program is wakaf fund (2012). In general, the main factor inefficiency ofDompetDhuafa program from 2010 to 2013 due to the distribution fund of DompetDhuafa program such as zakat, wakaf, humanity etc to ashnaf which is still less optimal. The distribution fund also has to increase up to 75.38%, then it is able to resolve the problem of poverty.
