This paper introduces an automatic feeding ship that applied in breeding crabs. For realizing autonomous navigation and making feed uniform on the surface of the aquaculture ponds, the GPS and automatic feeding machine are used on the ship. Bait scatters movement was analyzed by the method of physics and geometry which based on the structure and parameters of automatic feeding machine. For getting the mathematical model of bait distribution, the least square method is adopted to fit the experimental data. On this basis, the minimum variance of the bait thickness was selected as the objective function. An optimal trajectory was generated by using golden section method.

Combined with the contents of the study-PSS low-pass link parameter identification. Least-squares method is selected. Using least-square method for PSS low-pass link mathematical model are also deduced. For the results, because of the mathematical model is solving nonlinear equations, cannot used by the Newton method directly. So we choose to use Newton iterations, with this feature, choose to use MATLAB software to solve the equation. Identification of the use of MATLAB software lags after the PSS parameters obtained recognition results compared with national standards, identifying and verifying the practicability.

Abstract This paper is concerned with a linear time-delay circuit and its feedback control. We use electronic components such as resistors and capacitors to realize a linear time-delay system. The time-delays are generated by operational amplifiers and single-chip microcomputers. Based on the actual data measured by the oscilloscope, the parameters of the system are estimated using the least square method. Then a comparison study between the waveform image measured by the oscilloscope and the numerical simulation obtained by MATLAB verifies the effectiveness of the parameters estimations of the circuit system. Furthermore, the circuit system is unstable with a large time-delay, a feedback controller is designed to stabilize the circuit system using the optimization method in the literature. Finally, the experimental results in the linear time-delay circuit show the effectiveness of the optimization method.

This paper designs a camera-oriented smart car along with specialized intelligent control algorithms. MC9S12XS128 is chosen as the central processing unit and a CCD sensor along with peripheral circuit is designed as the camera module. The proposed system integrates technologies of intelligent control, Micro-Electro-Mechanism System (MEMS), System on Chip (SOC), wireless communication and low power consumption embedded technology, realizing autonomous navigation while tracking the path. In the paper, the extraction of path information is streamlined, where dynamic threshold method is used for image binarization and path optimization is done with least square method. Control algorithms are highlighted, where servo control incorporates least squares method creatively and the DC motor control, forming a closed-loop system with a rotatory encoder, adopts incremental PID control algorithm.

Least square method (LSM) is the most popular method used to evaluate machining error nowadays. However, LSM is likely to overestimate the error value, therefore its solution is only approximate and rather than minimum. In order to obtain the minimum, we study the principle of the minimum zone tolerance method (MZT), analyze the characteristics of the new generation GPS, and give the minimum zone mathematic model of the symmetry error for flatness to flatness. For the purpose of optimizing the mathematical model, this paper describes the application of adaptive genetic algorithm to achieve the best estimation. Simultaneously, the process of optimization is realized by MALTAB. Finally, the experiment shows that the evaluation results of MZT is better than evaluation results of LSM.

A new 5-DOF flexible coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is introduced in this paper, which uses REVO system produced by Renishaw. According to the D-H method, the mathematical model is built, and then the error model of the flexible CMM is derived. The parameter calibration based on the nonlinear least square method is analyzed theoretically. Due to the disadvantages of Gauss-Newton method, LM method is researched, which improved the singularity of the coefficient matrix. The calibration analysis is a basis for improving accuracy of the flexible CMM.

In order to improve the model accuracy of reliability evaluation, the Three-Parameter Weibull Distribution model of time between fault was established by introducing location parameters. The correlation coefficient optimization method based on the adaptive genetic algorithm was firstly applied to estimate the location parameter of the Three-Parameter Weibull Distribution. Shape parameter and scale parameter were obtained by the least square method. The time between failures of these series machining center submitting to three-parameter weibull Distribution was checked by the test hypothesis of goodness-of-fit distribution. Finally, the machining center was carried out reliability evaluation based on the Three-Parameter Weibull Distribution model.

Due to the optimization problem of coating thickness uniformity for two times spray technology, an optimization method of coating thickness uniformity for two times spray technology was proposed based on the optimized spray trajectory of one time. Based on the established tool model and complex curved surface was partitioned into several plane patches, the model of coating thickness was established for two times spray on the plane. The optimization model of coating uniformity was given and the golden section method was used to solve it. Simulation result show that the feasibility and availability of optimization model; the coating uniformity was improved effectively after optimization for two times spray trajectory.

Obtaining the more exact parameters of slip surfaces is proved to be crucial in the analysis of landslide stability, and there are four study methods available i.e. in-site test, laboratory test, back analysis and theoretical analysis. In general, the former two are the basic one, whereas the latter two are secondary. A set of test values about shearing stress and direct stress can be obtained through in-situ and lab tests, then the parameters of slip surface should be calculated to fitting for the test value by the least square method usually, but the effect of anomalous values should increase markedly because the quadratic sum of residual errors is adopted in calculations. In order to reduce the effect of anomalous value, a new method based on the robust regression analysis and the particle swarm optimization method are adopted to calculate the mechanics parameter of landslides in this paper. In the new method, the sum of residual absolute values is used to replace the quadratic sum of residual error, and then the quadratic sum of anomalous value can be avoided. Comparing to the least square method, the new method can reduce availably the effect of abnormal values, and the results are more credible. Furthermore, an engineering example is cited to show the validity.
