Combined with the contents of the study-PSS low-pass link parameter identification. Least-squares method is selected. Using least-square method for PSS low-pass link mathematical model are also deduced. For the results, because of the mathematical model is solving nonlinear equations, cannot used by the Newton method directly. So we choose to use Newton iterations, with this feature, choose to use MATLAB software to solve the equation. Identification of the use of MATLAB software lags after the PSS parameters obtained recognition results compared with national standards, identifying and verifying the practicability.

In order to improve the mathematical models accuracy of the electro-hydraulic servo loading system from the high-speed motorized spindle reliability test bench. This paper establishes the mathematical model based on the dynamic characteristics of the test bench, then establishes discrete mathematical model of the system based on the Z-transform, and finally uses particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to identify the parameters of the discrete model. Additionally, the least square method is applied to identify the parameters of the model for measuring the PSO algorithm parameter identification capability in our paper. The experimental results show that the mathematical model, identified by the PSO algorithm, can simulate the loading process very well under the strong interference signals, and the result is better than that gotten by the least square method, which proves that the PSO algorithm has high identification accuracy and better capability in parameters identification .

A new 5-DOF flexible coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is introduced in this paper, which uses REVO system produced by Renishaw. According to the D-H method, the mathematical model is built, and then the error model of the flexible CMM is derived. The parameter calibration based on the nonlinear least square method is analyzed theoretically. Due to the disadvantages of Gauss-Newton method, LM method is researched, which improved the singularity of the coefficient matrix. The calibration analysis is a basis for improving accuracy of the flexible CMM.

This paper presents the approach for the mathematical modeling of production turnover for the set up of new Biodiesel plant based on the dimensional analysis and multiple regression. Presented production turnover mathematical model is derived based on the generated design data. Design data is generated from the estimated design data. Estimation of design data is carried out based on the assumed plant layouts of different capacities. Dimensional analysis is used to make the independent and dependent variables dimensionless and to get dimensionless equation. Later, multiple regression analysis is applied to this dimensionless equation to obtain the index values based on the least square method. The mathematical model of production turnover is formulated using these obtained index values. Finally, the formulated model is evaluated on the basis of correlation and root mean square error between the computed values by model and the estimated values.

In this paper, it is discussed to determine a voltage modeling on a 102 meter one-phase cable channel which is loaded with a 1000 Watt lamp with the least square method. To obtain this method is by measuring the voltage at the points specified in the cable. After the measurement data is obtained then it is calculated to determine the mathematical model with the least square method. The least square method is a method for predicting a certain price. This method is also called the smallest quadratic method with the equation V = a + bX. With V is the measurement voltage (Volt) at distance X from the source, X distance from the source (meter), n ila a and b are calculated based on the measurement data. After the equation model is obtained, then we compare it with the measurement results. This comparison is useful to know what percentage difference between the results of the measurement and calculation.

Aiming at the calculating the flow of cutthroat flume in Hydraulic Engineering, the test data is processed through the nonlinear regression analysis program which is based on the principle of least square method. With 33 equations of various functions including linear, power function curve and exponential curve to be selected as the mathematical model, the regression analysis is taken through 33 equations. Comparing the regression coefficient from analysis, the optimal mathematical model is selected as the empirical formula, which has great significance in guiding the practical engineering.

Fuzzy linear regression has been extensively studied since its inception symbolized by the work of Tanaka et al. in 1982. As one of the main estimation methods, fuzzy least squares approach is appealing because it corresponds, to some extent, to the well known statistical regression analysis. In this article, a restricted least squares method is proposed to fit fuzzy linear models with crisp inputs and symmetric fuzzy output. The paper puts forward a kind of fuzzy linear regression model based on structured element, This model has precise input data and fuzzy output data, Gives the regression coefficient and the fuzzy degree function determination method by using the least square method, studies the imitation degree question between the observed value and the forecast value.

The evaluation of the mathematical model parameters of a non-linear object with a transport delay is considered in this paper. A temperature controlled stage based on a Peltier element is an identification object in the paper. Several input signal implementations are applied to the input of the identification object. The least squares method is applied for the calculation of the non-linear differential equitation parameters which describe the identification object. The least squares method is used due to its simplicity and the possibility of identification non-linear objects. The parameters values obtained in the process of identification are provided. The plots of temperature changes in the temperature control system with a controller designed based on the mathematical model of the control object obtained as a result of identification are shown. It is found that the mathematical model obtained in the process of identification may be applied to design controllers for non-linear systems, in particular for a temperature stage based on a Peltier element, and for self-tuning controllers. However, the least square method proposed in the paper cannot estimate the transport delay time. Therefore it is required to evaluate the time delay by temperature transient processes. Dynamic object identification is applied when it is required to obtain a mathematical model structure and evaluate the parameters by an input and output control object signal. Also, identification is applied for auto tuning of controllers. A mathematical model of a control object is required to design the controller which is used to provide the required accuracy and stability of control systems. Peltier elements are applied to design low-power and small- size temperature stage . Hot benches based on a Peltier element can provide the desired temperature above and below ambient temperature.
