The advance of wireless communications brings in various schemes of wireless digital communication technology. Analog communication and broadcasting services convert into digital services in many countries. The IBOC (In-Band On-Channel) system has been developed to work in the same band with the conventional analog radio and broadcasting digital signal simultaneously. HDR (HD-Radio) standard of IBOC (In-Band-On-Channel) can use coherent demodulation using pilot sub-carriers. In this paper, the performance of HD radio system is evaluated. To contribute to decision of digital radio standard and design of digital radio transmission network, the simulation results will give a help.

In HD Radio (Hybrid Digital Radio), the spectra of analog FM and digital signal are combined in a fixed way. However, the bandwidth of FM varies dynamically, which result in the insufficient utilization of spectrum in HD Radio. This paper analyzes the effect of different parameters on dynamic spectrum access scheme in HD Radio. The scheme extends the digital spectrum after detecting the spare spectrum of analog signal. Moreover, the analog signal is maintained a stable quality grade by employing an evaluation measurePEAQ (Perceptual Evaluation of Audio Quality). Simulation results of four programs show that the saved bandwidth of the scheme will achieve average 15 kHz with 42.7 (ms) of frames and dynamic digital spectrum.

Radio frequency (RF) systems in space applications are usually designed for a single task and its requirements. Flexibility is mostly limited to software-defined adaption of the signal processing in digital signal processors (DSP) or field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA). RF specifications, such as frequency band selection or RF filter bandwidth are thereby restricted to the specific application requirements. New radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) devices also allow the software-based reconfiguration of various RF specifications. A transfer of this RFIC technology to space systems would have a massive impact to future radio systems for space applications. The benefit of this RFIC technology allows a selection of different RF radio applications, independent of their RF parameters, to be executed on a single unit and, thus, reduces the size and weight of the whole system. Since most RF application sin space system require a high level of reliability and the RFIC is not designed for the harsh environment in space, a characterization under these special environmental conditions is mandatory. In this paper, we present the single event effect (SEE) characterization of a selected RFIC device under proton irradiation. The RFIC being tested is immune to proton induced single event latch-up and other destructive events and shows a very low response to single failure interrupts. Thus, the device is defined as a good candidate for future, highly integrated radio system in space applications.

In order to protect user privacy or guarantee free access to the Internet, the network covert channel has become a hot research topic. It refers to an information channel in which the messages are covertly transmitted under the network environment. In recent years, many new construction schemes of network covert channels are proposed. But at the same time, network covert channel has also received the attention of censors, leading to many attacks. The network covert channel refers to an information channel in which the messages are covertly transmitted under the network environment. Many users exploit the network covert channel to protect privacy or guarantee free access to the Internet. Previous construction schemes of the network covert channel are based on information steganography, which can be divided into CTCs and CSCs. In recent years, there are some covert channels constructed by changing the transmission network architecture. On the other side, some research work promises that the characteristics of emerging network may better fit the construction of the network covert channel. In addition, the covert channel can also be constructed by changing the transmission network architecture. The proxy and anonymity communication technology implement this construction scheme. In this paper, we divide the key technologies for constructing network covert channels into two aspects: communication content level (based on information steganography) and transmission network level (based on proxy and anonymity communication technology). We give an comprehensively summary about covert channels at each level. We also introduce work for the three new types of network covert channels (covert channels based on streaming media, covert channels based on blockchain, and covert channels based on IPv6). In addition, we present the attacks against the network covert channel, including elimination, limitation, and detection. Finally, the challenge and future research trend in this field are discussed.

Firstly Cognitive radio (CR) communication technology is introduced. Then the current research situation of CR-based anti-interference communication are reviewed and analyzed. The two CR-based anti-interference radio structures are given. Then CR-based anti-interference transceivers are introduced and analyzed. Further analysis shows that the future research for CR-based anti-interference radio system should consider the difference between anti-interference user and cognitive user, more environment information interceptions and the combinations of CR and other anti-interference technologies.
