The unsteady flow parameters in control stage of partial admission are analyzed in details with full 3-D numerical simulation. The full annulus structure of air turbine in partial admission is modeled due to the unsymmetrical geometry. The partial admission is accomplished through the inlet blocked using segmental arc. The unsteady surface pressure changes of eight blades in the transition regions which demonstrate the power output ability are presented. That the entropy rise associated with the losses at different cross mainly caused by mixing losses and flow separation in partial admission is analyzed to estimate the efficiency distribution.

Blade fatigue fracture is the main factor affecting the safe operation of the turbine and the aerodynamic exciting force caused by partial admission accelerates the fatigue failure of the control stage blade. In this paper, based on the three-dimensional unsteady flow research of 300MW control stage, a new type of inlet chamber structure is proposed, which can reduce the local aerodynamic exciting force effectively. The performance of original structure and new structure is compared at 0.7 partial admission operation condition in details. Firstly, the paper gives the overall performance of the control stage under the two structures. It is proved that the new inlet chamber structure proposed in this paper only has a slight influence on the overall performance, which is shown as mass flow, power and efficiency. Secondly, distributions of flow parameters such as pressure, static entropy and axial velocity at the stator inlet and rotor inlet are given in the paper. The new structure is found to alleviate the sudden change of flow parameters such as pressure at the inlet steam chamber transition region. Finally, five key points of axial aerodynamic force and seven key points of tangential aerodynamic force are captured to illustrate the influence of partial admission on instantaneous aerodynamic exciting force. Further, the mechanism of new inlet chamber structure on local aerodynamic exciting forces is explained. The result shows that the new inlet chamber structure can reduce the local axial aerodynamic exciting force up to 13% and reduce the local tangential aerodynamic exciting force up to 29.7%, which is beneficial to improve the safety and reliability of the turbine operation.

A detailed unsteady numerical simulation has been carried out to investigate the shock systems in the high pressure (HP) turbine rotor and unsteady shock-wake interaction between coupled blade rows in a 1+1/2 counter-rotating turbine (VCRT). For the VCRT HP rotor, due to the convergent-divergent nozzle design, along almost all the span, fishtail shock systems appear after the trailing edge, where the pitch averaged relative Mach number is exceeding the value of 1.4 and up to 1.5 approximately (except the both endwalls). A group of pressure waves create from the suction surface after about 60% axial chord in the VCRT HP rotor, and those waves interact with the inner-extending shock (IES). IES first impinges on the next HP rotor suction surface and its echo wave is strong enough and cannot be neglected, then the echo wave interacts with the HP rotor wake. Strongly influenced by the HP rotor wake and LP rotor, the HP rotor outer-extending shock (OES) varies periodically when moving from one LP rotor leading edge to the next. In VCRT, the relative Mach numbers in front of IES and OES are not equal, and in front of IES, the maximum relative Mach number is more than 2.0, but in front of OES, the maximum relative Mach number is less than 1.9. Moreover, behind IES and OES, the flow is supersonic. Though the shocks are intensified in VCRT, the loss resulted in by the shocks is acceptable, and the HP rotor using convergent-divergent nozzle design can obtain major benefits.

In order to study the influence of pulsating blood flow to robot and blood vessel, UDF programming of the inlet velocity is defined as the boundary condition, and the model simulate the turbulent blood flow. Moreover, in this situation, this paper analyzes the influence caused by blood parameters for the biggest surface pressure on robot. The results are showed that the variation of pressure and velocity is different on different position at 0.08s and 0.27s, and the surface pressure of the robot become greater by the increase of blood density or viscosity.

Experimental measurements were carried out to assess the aeroacoustic characteristics of a 30P30N high-lift device, with particular attention to slat tonal noise. Three different types of slat modifications, namely slat cove filler, serrated slat cusp, and slat finlets have been experimentally examined. The results are presented for an angle of attack of α = 18 at a free-stream velocity of U = 30 m/s, which corresponds to a chord-based Reynolds number of Re = 7 x 10. The unsteady surface pressure near the slat region and far-field noise were made simultaneously to gain a deeper understanding of the slat noise generation mechanisms. The nature of the low-frequency broadband hump and the slat tones were investigated using higher-order statistical approaches for the baseline 30P30N and modified slat configurations. Continuous wavelet transform of the unsteady surface pressure fluctuations along with secondary wavelet transform of the broadband hump and tones were carried out to analyze the intermittent events induced by the tone generating resonant mechanisms. Stochastic analysis of the wavelet coefficient modulus of the surface pressure fluctuations was also carried out to demonstrate the inherent differences of different tonal frequencies. An understanding into the nature of the noise generated from the slat will help design the new generation of quite high-lift devices.

A fast-response pressure-sensitive paint (PSP) technique was applied to the measurement of unsteady surface pressure of an oscillating cascade blade in a transonic flow. A linear cascade was used, and its central blade was oscillated in a translational manner. The unsteady pressure distributions of the oscillating blade and two stationary neighbors were measured using the fast-response PSP technique, and the unsteady aerodynamic force on the blade was obtained by integrating the data obtained on the pressures. The measurements made with the PSP technique were compared with those obtained by conventional methods for the purpose of validation. From the results, the PSP technique was revealed to be capable of measuring the unsteady surface pressure, which is used for flutter analysis in transonic conditions.

The numerical simulation analysis on the whole process of the tube immersing is researched, which use computational fluid dynamics method, is based on RNG k~ε turbulence model. The analysis shows that: additional pressure of tube lateral wall depends on the changed flow field cause by tube immersing; through the analysis, it have explored the special position of additional pressure changes in the process of immersing; it also shows some problems should be paid attention, through analysis the stress of special position.
