This paper describes design and implementation of remote lab with industrial robot accessible through the web based on Moodle portal, Easy Java Simulations (EJS) and Arduino Sw & Hw. The main purpose of this lab is to improve study, training and programming knowledge in industrial and service robotics for students, teachers of secondary vocational schools and company workers that deal with problems that arise on real robotic workplaces. This lab allows the user to work from their homes and operates with industrial robot at real workplace. Such remote lab can also enable users to use expensive lab equipment, which is not usually available to all persons. Practical example of application of the lab with industrial robot on Department of Robotics, Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia is presented.

Requirements on encryption of web-based examination system were analyze, and different encryption technologies were used to meet the needs on three levels, including important data, core processing logic and some restricted functions. For important data, its confidentiality and integrity were realized. The core processing logic in ASP script was built in COM component. And some restricted functions were protected with hardware key. Encryption which protected data, code and function provided necessary safety for the web-based examination system.

We have developed a Ch Mechanism Toolkit for analysis and design of mechanisms. It was developed using Ch, an embeddable C/C++ interpreter with extensions. The Ch Mechanism Toolkit allows users to write simple programs for solving complicated planar mechanism problems. As an extension to the toolkit, a Web-based system was created for performing mechanism design and analysis through the internet. This paper will discuss the design and implementation of the Ch Mechanism Toolkit as well as its corresponding web-based system. The web-based mechanism system is especially suitable for distance learning. The web-based system for mechanism design and analysis is available on the Web at http://www.softintegration/webservices/mechanism/.

Padang Karunia Group received a lot of inputs from its employees for improvement collected manually by an administrator. The more input from employees, the more difficult to be collected manually. Therefore Padang Karunia Group took the initiative to create an intranet application to save the inputs in a database. Based on this problem, a research is done to develop database applications in the form of dashboard to collect criticisms and suggestions of employees over the web. This application is expected to assist and facilitate the management of the company, especially in the gathering criticism and suggestions from employees who are then evaluated for company improvement. We uses the database design method based on database application lifecycle, including requirements collection and analysis, conceptual database design, logical database design, DBMS selection, physical database design, and implementation. The results achieved are a database design anda web-based dashboard application that collects criticisms and suggestions. The advantage of using this application is that the company can easily accept criticism and suggestions from employees, simplify storage and data management criticism and suggestions, create reports, and reduce the cost of data collection and the process that was previously done manually. Through the database created, the data management of criticisms and suggestions of employees can be done better.

We-based e-Learning System can be used to support lecture’s activity. Lecturer as a teacher need a servise of the Sistim which suitable for their activities. Lecturer’s activities consist of delivering materials, discussion and interaction with their students. Because of that the aplication design is needed to support the activities of lectures.             Designing the web based e-Learning System is intended to give a service on the lecture. Lecture can do their teaching activities, delivering the materials and administering it using this e-Learning aplication. From the student side, they have to receive the materials easily from anywhere at anytime. This research have an objective to design a web based e_learning System which give an adequate service supporting the lecturer’s activities. Lecture can use this aplication ti deliver their materials, communicating and interacting with their student, observing the progress of students and give result of learning evaluation from the web.             The design and implementation of this e-learning application is based on the requirement of the users. The users consist of lecturer, student, quest, and administrator. The process of aplication design is built within Sistimatical stages. After finishing the design process, the aplication is implemented on the real Sistim. Doing the design testing and functional is to test if the aplication can go well together with design and funtionality.e-Learnign aplication that has been built is designed based on lecturer’s need when doing their lecture’s activities. This e-Learning aplication can be used as contribution for building new aplication or5 improving others that has already exist.

A web based course management tool, 'Net-Class', developed in Middle East Technical University is presented. The tool features such as web browsing abilities, instructor and student tools, synchronous and asynchronous sharing is discussed. It is compared to the commercially available tools in terms of these features. The evaluation shows Net-Class is at least as effective as the others in teaching and learning via web.
