The major of advanced textile mechanical design and automation is a characteristic profession of School of Mechanical Engineering of Tianjin Polytechnic University. Since its establishment in 1978, it has gone through the course of near 30 years ,and has trained a large number of talented people for our country. In the new historical conditions, how to exert the professional advantages of cultivating innovative talents has become a hot topic. This paper analyzes the disadvantages that the college students who is trained by the closed education of the institutions of higher learning in the recent years can not meet the real requirements of the enterprises to the innovative talents ,and it is difficult that the college teachers and students conduct practical activities in the enterprises, proposes the establishment of " the Advanced Textile Mechanical and Electromechanical Center of Research and Development " that is the link of the school-enterprise cooperation and training innovative talents. It truly sets up a win-win mechanism between the school and enterprises and solves the above disadvantages. Through several years’ practice, after going into the enterprises the graduates can become skilled quickly and have strong practical ability and innovative design capability, and they are widely acclaimed by the enterprises.

The design for traditional gantry planer aims at its empty stroke and low work efficiency of the two fatal flaws in this paper. We adopted the structure innovation by mechanical design and designed the gantry planer bidirectional shaping turret. And the device is simple in structure and easy in manufacture. These make improved gantry planer remove empty stroke and change one-way shaping into two-way shaping. Thus the improved gantry planer can depress energy cost consumedly and improve production efficiency. This will broaden its market greatly in the machining industry.

Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs offers a perspective on the motivation of college students and provides a rationale for retention programming in institutions of higher learning. The interventions of student affairs staff and faculty members which address the safety needs of students and engage students' sense of purpose tend to reinforce persistence. The result is improved rates of retention. The possible role faculty might play in a “mentor program” is discussed as a model of cooperative endeavor between the teaching faculty and the student affairs staff.

This paper presents a set of evaluation indicator system for Institutions of higher learning mechanical engineering training. In this way, we can effectively solve the difficulties of the mechanical engineering training examination work at present. The evaluation indicator system was established in the method of AHP, which is a kind of qualitative and quantitative, systematic, hierarchical analysis method. On the basis of the practical problems in-depth analysis of mechanical engineering training and assessment, we first established a three-level structure model of the indictor system. The top level of the model is target layer. Then we constructed the weight judgment matrix of the hierarchical model, and deduced the indictors’ weight consistency checking algorithm, and finally arrived at the formula of the evaluation results.

Covid-19 pandemic has hit the world at the end of 2019 and Malaysia is one of the affected countries. The Malaysian government has tried to minimize movement to reduce the spread of this virus. As we all know, the learning and training process is one of the areas affected. All institutions of higher learning and schools had to be closed for the benefit of all. UiTM has also issued operating guidelines during Covid-19. Institute of Leadership Development (ILD) UiTM is a training centre for staff that needs to be managed and given attention. Even in uncertain situations, training for staff needs to be continued. As a solution, ILD UiTM has adopted new practices to continue the functions of this centre. Online training was introduced to further enliven the training to staff. But there are challenges in reaching, adapting, and achieving effectiveness of online training.
