Aimed at investigating the design method and test method of jet-mixing apparatus, numerical simulation and experiment research were both used to investigate the internal flow field of jet-mixing apparatus in this article. Numerical simulation scheme for interior flow field of jet-mixing apparatus was established, CFD software Fluent was used to investigate in concentration field of jet-mixing apparatus. The concept of IOS was brought forward to evaluate the homogeneity degree of pesticide and water. Investigation both carried on area ratio effect on the mix homogeneity of the jet-mixing apparatus and the distribution of pesticide concentration in the axial and radial of mixing tube.

Numerical simulation is used for researching the transient characteristic and internal characteristic of the reactor coolant pump under station blackout accident. The simulation method has been presented by analyzing difference scheme for governing equations. The analytical model of reactor coolant pump flow field has been established by analyzing adequately the influence of varying rotation speed to the pump external characteristic. Finally, the pump internal flow characteristic is exposed.

The flow field inside cyclone separator is a kind of complex three-dimensional rotation turbulent flow with two-phase separation phenomenon. In order to optimize the structure and shorten the cycle of research and development, it is very essential to find the appropriate calculation method for the flow field inside cyclone separator. In this article, the internal flow field of tangential inlet cyclone separator was simulated and calculated by adopting different calculation model and different numerical simulation scheme by orthogonal design method. And the result was compared with that of existing experiment to find a reasonable method for the simulation of the flow field inside the cyclone. On the basis of standard k-ε model, the numerical simulation scheme was formulated by the orthogonal test method, through the comparison of results, the best combinations are gained; This research result has certain reference value for cyclone separator design and performance optimization.

Based on the design theory of liquid-solid two-phase flow centrifugal pump, a new type TLB600-700 desulphurization pump was designed with huge distortions blades design method and impeller inlet super long extension blades design method. Three-dimensional model of internal flow field in TLB600-700 desulphurization pump was built by software PROE5.0, and the three-dimensional unsteady numerical simulation of the internal flow field was calculated, which revealed that the rotor-stator interaction between rotating impeller and volute is the reason why unstable flow generated. Statics analysis was carried out on the impeller in the stationary flow state with the method of fluid-structure interaction, and results indicated that the impeller strength and stiffness meet the design requirements. External characteristic test results of TLB600-700 desulphurization pump showed that all parameters of desulphurization pump designed by innovative method meet design requirements; especially the pump efficiency was increased by 4.15% higher than Chinese national standard.

The full flow field model of a widely used multi-blade centrifugal was built, using the CFD method, the steady and unsteady numerical simulation of the inner flow in the fan at different working conditions are presented. The numerical simulation results were validated by contrasting to the experiment results. The results displayed the characteristics of the velocity field, pressure field and pressure fluctuate in the centrifugal fan. The results can provide basis for optimizing the fan design and the internal flow, and have important value of engineering applications in the increase of the overall performance in operation.

This paper points out that the traditional design method of multi blade centrifugal fan are great uncertainty in selecting the structure parameters: lead to many design results, do many tests. Internal flow field of multi blade centrifugal fan was simulated with the computational fluid dynamics software Fluent, and the numerical results are analyzed. Comparison of the numerical results with the test results shows that numerical simulation has good accuracy and reliability. The design program and a design example is gived according to the design theory of multi blade centrifugal fan. Method is verified by numerical simulation for the example. Test results show that the design program is reliable.

In this present study, the VOF (Volume of Fluid) approach is adopted to capture the interface, and CSF (Continuum Surface Force) model to calculate the surface tension, and the governing equations are founded in numerical simulation of evaporating droplets. In this work, a water droplet is assumed to be suspending in high temperature air, and the gravity of a droplet is ignored. During evaporating process of the droplet, the internal circulation flow will be induced due to the gradient of temperature at the droplet surface. The interface flows from high temperature area to low temperature area, which pulls the liquid to produce convective flow inside the droplet called as Marangoni flow. Marangoni flow makes the temperature distribution tend to uniformity, which enhances heat transfer but weakens Marangoni flow in turn. So, during droplet evaporation, the internal flow is not steady.

The aerostatic circular thrust bearing was taken as a study subject. The numerical simulation method was used to calculate the flow passage. Meanwhile, the single-point testing method was used to test the pressure distribution. The simulation and experiment measurement results were compared and analyzed. The results show that: The single-point testing method is effective to capture the change of flow characteristics. The overall results of simulation and testing coincide with each other well. In the range of cone cavity, the flow pattern for the gas is turbulent flow, and the flow field should be divided into different zones for simulation.

In order to regulate turbulence strength and determine airflow characteristics in a new dual-feed rotor spinning unit, the internal flow field is investigated. A computational fluid dynamics technique is employed to numerically study the three-dimensional model of the internal airflow in the new design. The effects of air velocity variation on turbulence strength, negative pressure, Re, and wall pressure distribution are investigated based on simulation data and previous studies. The results show that the turbulence strength and Re increased with increase in inlet air velocity. Pressure profiles inside the rotor varied significantly with positive pressure observed at the channel exits. Minimal inlet velocity maintains the flow field in the rotor interior below 100 m/s, which gives the ideal turbulence required to minimize yarn quality deterioration. The dual-feed rotor spinning unit showed more orderly streamline patterns with fewer vortices compared to the conventional one. The numerical simulation can provide insights on airflow studies and some guidelines for future prototyping and experiments to further improve the new design.
